What a beautiful tale with just the right amount of emotions.
Each going out of their way to help each other without naming the feeling they have for the other person.

Very well written.

Anupama, your writing is so starkly beautiful that it does render one speechless for minutes. The vivid descriptions leap out to paint a picture so clear that one wonders whether one is watching, or reading!
There is something to be said of this, a love that crosses borders. It is bittersweet in the most delightful way. It reminds me of a quote by Edgar Allan Poe 'And so being young and dipped in folly I fell in love with melancholy.'

I fell in love with this memory, and I wish that it didn't trespass but lingered so that I could savour it some more.

You are simply brilliant, Anu!

Anu! From next time on I'm going to prepare myself for the lump in my throat and glazed eyes for reading your OS's end up doing it to me. Seriously.

It was beautiful, poignant and tragic. You captured the essence of human nature with such clarity. A saviour doesn't differentiate the life he/she saving. The one being saved is fortunate to have someone who was willing to save you. The fact that both belong to warring neighbouring nations plays no role, for human life is more significant than anything else.

Their short-lived love story was as beautiful as can be. The way he watches her when she sleeps and his one touch send her heart thundering like never before were heart racing. That he protects her while risking his life was the perfection personified. That he cherishes her payal and she his badge was a goose bump worthy moment that will forever remain etched in my memory.

Your words are truly magical Anu. They have a poetic quality. Please, seriously do consider writing poetry. Not lymerics but poetry that touches hearts and souls.

Congratulations and thank you⭐️

Hey...i was pleasantly surprised to know that this entry was yours and yippie i voted for it... 😃
Coz this was very different from all the other stories that you have written..
And i steer away from tragedy mostly and was surprised to have liked a tragic story!
It was so subtle and nice in the way that tragedy was not interpreted with death like in most stories..very very nicely written..
CONGRATULTIONS 😉 👏

Congratulations on your award and top ten!! This was such a brilliant OS!
I was hesitant to read the tragedy OS's but eventually caved on the contest thread . I ended up voting for this one as well.

The connection between Arnav and Khushi is so beautifully shown. She saves him and he's worried about her safety. Although they are separated at the end there's hope, which was one of the things I loved about your OS!! You showed a myriad of emotions.

If you have time I would love a part two to this..

Dear Anu! Heartiest Congrats!! This was amazing piece of work.

I had thought it to be tragic and hence was procrastinating but the Charu held me at gunpoint and I thank her for that.

Splendid work indeed.
