PART 22:
"Ma... Please go and have some rest please... I'll bring your food soon" said Manvi and rushed to kitchen. She saw no one around her... She shut her eyes tightly and made her tears to come out... She was scared for ma and even more scared to face Virat now...
"I just gave you a new confidence and hope of ma's treatment and goodness. But how can I myself snatch those hopes and dreams from you Virat... god!!! please give enough strength for us to face everything... Please..." said this she broke down by her knees and started sobbing more...
Suddenly She heard some one's foot steps... Immediately she wiped her tears and stood back gathering some courage. "Manvi... what are you doing? Ok... I'll do it" said Jeevika and was about prepare food. "Di please... aap pregnant hoon... go and have some rest. I'll take care" said Manvi. "But I'll atleast help you manvi... I can't sit simply" said Jeevika stubbornly. "Di... please go otherwise don't talk to me" said Manvi. "wow! It's too nice to see these arguing sisters. Hai na bhai?" said Virat in a teasing tone and was about to enter inside along with Viren.
Manvi gave a fake smile and turned besides controlling her tears... "Manvi... why are you risking yourself baby? You know... we should only do the work that we know well" he teased her mentioning she didn't know to cook. "Virat... don't tease my saali. She cook well today. I bet..." said Viren pulling Manvi in a side hug. "thank you Jeeju..." said Manvi and smiled little. "Arey... these two na? don't worry Virat... I'll cook better for you" said Jeevika joining with Virat. "But Bhabhi... you should rest now so that baby would be fine" said Virat. "Atlast, you joined your wife na?" said Jeevika with a fake anger and moved out to her room with Viren...
"Ok... for the first time I am gonna taste my wife's prepared food..." said Virat looking Manvi with a smile. "You look very happy today... how could I spoil this sweet smile of yours" thought Manvi seeing him. "Manvi... what happened again?" said Virat and pulled her close to him. She got out of the traunce and "Virat... sorry if it tastes bad" she said controlling her sobs. "why are feeling so low Manvi? I am just kidding... whether it taste good or bad, I love this too much. Because your love for everyone is there in it na?" he said... "But you are worried for some thing else... what is it disturbing you my jaan?" he asked cupping her face... tears started coming again from her eyes... She hugged him tightly without saying any thing... Virat's mobile rang suddenly and they aparted from each other. He can't hear clearly due to signal problem and he excused himself to go out. She nodded her head and busy again in preparing paranthas.
After few minutes Manvi prepared the dinner and took the dinner for every one. She called Virat several times but one of the maid said he was busy in a call with some one. She took the plates to virika's room... "Di... jeeju... dinner is ready" said this she served them. "wow! You also prepared kaju halwa!! Yummy!!!" said Viren and tasted it. "It's awesome Manvi... now no one could say you donno to cook" he said praising her. "such mein jeeju... very happy now" she said. "Di... you didn't like it?" she asked to Jeevika. "How couldn't I like this food... that too prepared by my pyaari behen?" said Jeevika... Manvi hugged her and said, "thank you di... is it really tastes good?".
"It's hundred out of hundred..." said Jeevika with cute expressions. "Ok di... I am going to ma's room... call me if you need any thing. And please rest for now" said this she moved out.
Manvi entered Vanshika ma's room and shocked to see her lying on the floor with some difficulty to breathe... She placed the plates at the corner of a table and rushed to her calling, "ma" and made her sit. She took the water glass and made her drink it. She then rubbed her back and made her to lie on the bed. "Ma... what happened? Sorry ma... I haven't cared you properly na?" she said. "Now I feel little better beta... you don't worry" said V..ma and consoled her.
Doctors words were started to ring her mind again and again... tears are started to come out thinking if some thing would happen to her ma. V..ma noted this and "Manvi... see me... Iam fine beta" said raising her face and wiped her tears. Manvi took the dinner plate having soup and started feeding her. Seeing her worries, V..ma completed her dinner like a obedient student. She then gave the medicines to her and sat there till she slept. After seeing V..ma in a deep slumber, she moved out of the room. She went to her room and cried her heart out. "God... nothing should happen to ma. Please do some thing... " said she closed her face with palms and cried more. She stopped her sobs all of a sudden and turned to see realising some one touch in her shoulders. She whispered, "Virat..." and shocked.
"what happened Manvi? What happened to ma? Tell me now" he said shaking her shoulders.
"Virat... wo..."she shivered in her voice. "say it damn it" he shouted. Manvi then narrated the things that doctor told her in hospital. Virat went numb in shock... He sat on the bed with a thud... put down his head and rubbed his hairs... he shut his eyes for a while. Manvi went towards him and, "Virat... Virat... say something... please don't be quiet..." she said. "Just leave me alone" was the only thing he spoke... His eyes were splitting much of anger and disappointment. Manvi thought for a while and turned to move out and got another shock to see virika standing there and heard everything happened there few minutes ago.
She silently moved out without speaking any thing... Virika were also left the room realising the ugly atmoshphere there... Manvi was worrying more to face him... She thought Virat would be angry at her still and cried more. She heared a sudden thunder noise from their room and ran towards their room...
The room was messed completely with broken glasses, flower pots... and she saw him stood at the corner facing the window... She gathered her courage and went near him... "Virat... " she said turning him. She saw his eyes were red in anger and face was very tensed like never before... She scared to see the old Virat back... She also scared whether she would loose him in the very state... tears were continuously rolling down to her cheeks. She thought to speak but was feared at the moment when she saw his eyes... "Just get out Manvi... don't cry and it's not ur mistake" he said rudely... But she stood still without moving any where... "I asked you to go out" he yelled again... "why the fate is playing with me always... I can't loose you mom..." he shouted and punched the glass table. His palms were oozed out with blood all of a sudden... "Virat..." shouted she touched his hands... "GET OUT I SAID..." he shouted through his lungs and she moved out in fear wiping her tears...
After an hour... Virika saw her standing in the balcony and seemed to be merged in deep thoughts... Jeevika touched her shoulders and made her come out from the thoughts. "Don't worry Manvi... Every thing would be fine soon..."said Jeevika... Manvi hugged Jeevika all of a sudden and poured her heart out to cry... "Di... I can't see Virat like this. And ma... ma..." she extended in a shivering tone. "Manvi... you know what? some times we'll be facing lots of problems and searching some where for the solution. But the solution is hiding inside us and we are failed to bring it out. That's called trust... We should trust Manvi... that's is the only thing we can do and that'll help us to act brave and that only will give us enough strength to fight against the problem" he said cupping her face. "you are a brave girl na? see... I and ur jiju will always be there for you to support and help every time. Now come and eat little" added Jeevika. "I already completed my dinner di..." she lied.
"Acha... you are lieing to me" said Jeevika. "today is a very special day that our angel cooked for us. Hai na? then without even you tasting it, how could we celebrate it?" asked Viren and they took her to the dining table. Jeevika started feeding her little while Viren excused for a while. He came back with a very beautiful gift box and asked his saali to open it.
She opened it with a smile and surprised to see a pair of anklets with adoring pearls hanging in it to make it look more awesome. "what is this Jeeju?" she asked. "anklets... don't you know" he said. "I knew it is anklet. But..."she said. But before she finished, Jeevika said, "It's a gift for my pyaari behen for preparing this yummy dinner for the first time" said Jeevika. "You like it Manvi? Your sister selected this almost roaming aroung the whole mumbai" he said. "Thank you di... jiju..." said Manvi. "You know already I'll prepare food today?" asked manvi innocently. They laughed and, "we bought it to gift you Manvi" said Jeevika. "But for what" she asked like a child. "Is there a reason needed to gift you. You are always special and so" said Viren while Jeevika took the anklet and weared it in her sister's legs.
Jeevika got up and took another plate and put the food in it and gave it to Manvi, "Manvi... now go and give it to Virat" she said. "Will he eat now di?" she asked. "why not?? It's your responsibilty na? You should console him and made him to eat now" said Jeevika. Manvi bid good night for them and moved towards their room.
She took small steps with the plates in her hands... Virat noticed her presence and didn't mind her coming. He suddenly took his laptop and moved to the couch with an angry glare. But she moved near him and started to speak after a deep breathe. "Virat... I know you would be worrying. But please don't ignore this food. You would be hungry na?" she said very politely. "I don't wanna see any one from now. You just go and carry on your work..." he said sternly. "But... you should" said this she moved towards him. He stood up in anger and pulled her hands and twisted it to her back, "Can't you listen what I am saying... I don't need any thing" he shouted. The plates fell down from her hands suddenly and the food is splitted every where around the room...
He looked at her eyes which is potraying her innocence, care, concern and every thing. She also looked up to his eyes where she can see more of hurt, disappointment and anger of loosing his ma... tears rolled down from her eyes again due to pain... not only it's physical pain... but also the pain from her heart to see him like this. Seeing her tears, his heart skipped a second and his grip on her was loosened. "I don't wanna get any of your love... because I am scared whether I may loose it too one day... go away from me Manvi. I have to practise this loneliness from now" his mind spoked seeing her eyes.
"You never understand with how much love I prepared this food... throughout the preparation I was thinking whether you would like it or not. But donno I was an unlucky that my husband didn't even wished to taste it atleast... I know you were worrying for ma. But just think Virat... first of all we didn't have hopes for ma's health. Then by some miracle we found a better treatment. Doctor never said she wouldn't cure. He was just warning us to care ma's health in much better way. And soon some other miracle will cure her completely... " said this she wiped her tears and ran away from the room.
Virat felt very bad to make his love worry more... "I know you holded every pain within yourself and struggled inside to convey this matter. You felt very helpless from the time we returned from hospital and I realized that too. No one could blame you Manvi... I know how much I am hurting you... but I donno what's lagging behind. May be the pain of loosing ma making me to behave this way..." he thought himself.
When he was about to take a step, he realised the food scattered on the floor and it made him feel even more worse... After few minutes, she came to clean the messed room and surprised to see the scene. She hided herself behind the wall and saw him. He sat down and, "How much effort you took to made this food... I am sorry my jaan... Sorry to hurt you every time..." he said and picked all the wasted food in a plate. He moved to kitchen to keep the plate. She also followed him with a sweet little smile. He placed the plate in sink and took a fresh plate and served himself whatever she prepared and moved out... He was searching her almost all the rooms with the plate in his hands... She knew he was searching her and enjoying that with a smile... To stop disappointing him further, she stood in the room where he was searching her. He turned suddenly to see her in front of him and got relieved. She controlled her smile and stood without speaking any thing... then she moved to the couch and sat on it turning the other side and acted like busy with messaging in her mobile.
He went and sat near her silently and looked with a mixture of anger and worries to see her sitting in the way showing her back to him. He pulled her hands and turned her to face him. He took a spoon full of kaju halwa and feed her forcefully while she was stubborn to open her mouth. After feeding her, he ate it himself and felt very happy to eat it. "Ofcouse you are correct... It is too tasty and very sweet just like your love" he thought seeing her eyes and ate it slowly till it got finished. She was enjoying the sight going in front of her eyes. He also feeded her paranthas and got up to move after completed the food without speaking any thing. She sat in the same place watching him disappointedly the way he was moving out.
