Hi Shweta,
What do I say? That was not only brilliant update but an intense one. I almost read it on breath. The beauty of this update was, when we readers were getting comfortable thinking, things are moving smoothly between Arnav and Khushi, you threw a curveball at us. And now we are back the edge, waiting to see what happens next.
Yashoda is a perfect example of those parents who are so hung up on their status and social image that they do not care of their children's dreams, goals, or even happiness. Undeniably Yashoda has played in a role in spoiling Akash as well as Arnav's lives and she is bent upon doing the same with Anjali.
I feel bad for Anjali; she is tormenting herself. I wouldn't say Anjali is picking easy way out; she is just making things easy for everybody else and in the process tormenting her. She dotes on her brother but even his assurances are not helping the situation as she doesn't want to add to his distress.
Now coming to the real "confrontation" and stealer of the update; it has to be one of the most powerful scenes until now. A lot happened in this one scene. Khushi got a real peek into Arnav's past, Arnav shut Khushi again, the positive feelings Khushi was developing for Arnav were nipped and above all, it showed the depth of Arnav's pain and how torn he is between his past and present, between the person he wants to be vs. being the person others want him to be.
I really felt bad for Khushi that she was at the wrong place at the wrong time and had to face Arnav' s wrath for no fault of hers. But honestly, there is no other way for Khushi to know about Arnav's past. Nobody including Arnav is going to make Khushi sit down and narrate the story to her. She will discover her husband through cherish able moments like by the lake or cruel confrontations like this. Poor girl was still giving benefit of doubt to Arnav even after being yelled at and pushed out by Arnav.
Khushi is more shattered and hurt by the catastrophe caused by what Arnav said to Aman, than his behavior earlier. She was just starting to admire Arnav and since loss of her parents, unknown to her she was trusting Arnav. All the fights, arguments they had until now hurt her pride but this was betrayal.
Arnav, tulips won't work this time. Last time Khushi gave him a silence treatment for few days only but this time it will be a long silence treaty. Arnav definitely is feeling guilty, knows he really wounded the girl's heart and will definitely do everything to mend their relationship. But it's going to be an uphill battle.
I am positive that whatever happened in this chapter will push their relationship in the right direction.
Aman is as broken as Arnav; they mirror each other at a personal level and connect. Even without reading much about Aman, the way he stands by Arnav supports him through his silence and their equation it tells how much pain he has endured. When it comes to Arnav he forgets his own pain. He wants Arnav to find his peace and knows that Khushi can give him that.
Regarding Aman's reaction to Anjali's news, he is like a poker player. He won't react and do anything that might cause ripples in Arnav's personal or political career. Having said that he will definitely make, efforts to talk to Anjali.
PS: I swear, didn't mean to write long comment again but there was so much happening in this chapter that I had a lot to say. Next time onwards, I will try to keep them shorter than your updates!!
