KR OS- The Special Bench
Reyaansh saw his grandfather pick out the special bench' in the park to lounge on. Curiosity getting the better of him, he joined his old man. "What's with this bench, Grandpa?"
Mr. Singhania Sr. looked around carefully so as to make sure no one heard them before he whispered in his grandson's ear, "So I get to see her!"
"Her?... Who?" Rey was completely taken aback that his father's father would come here to check out chics at this age.
"Her!" he pointed at a couple of trees in front of them. Rey dint see anyone at first but then to his surprise a young girl stepped out from behind one of the trees holding a lemonade can in one hand and a book in the other. She was wearing an ultra mini workout shorts and a light colored, almost see through t-shirt making it easy for him to leave the rest to his imagination. She looked like she was in her early twenties. He couldn't really see her face so far away, but going by her physic, she was HOT! And he had to be dead not to notice that.
"Her?" he asked to confirm. Sure he had mistaken, his grandfather was full of life but not a perv who would come to the park to check out sexy girls. His man just nodded blushing the brightest shade of red making Rey groan. He had to talk to his father. And do what? Complain about what his father was doing during his morning walks? "Isn't she too young for you?" His grandpop blushed harder if that was even possible. "She isn't that young. Besides she likes me too." Rey's jaw dropped from his face, "She said so?"
"No! Nothing yet. But I catch her looking at me sometimes. She even smiles at me when we cross each other paths."
"I'm sure she's just being polite grandpa. She can't be interested in you."
"Why not? What is wrong with me?" Rey had to bite his tongue from telling the truth. What was the harm if his grandfather thought he was a few decades young? He could just indulge him, if it made his old man happy. He smiled shaking his head. "Nothing is wrong with you. You are fit as a fiddle! Can we go now?" They got up to leave but he couldn't help himself to steal a glance her way. He was just curious he told himself. He was not in the least interested in her!

He tried hard to not think of her for the rest of the day and when he got home from work he found his grandfather ready for his evening stroll down the park. "So you have finally started to take your cardiologist seriously?" Rey smirked.
"Now I know the true meaning of Walking is good for your heart' expression." He laughed and left leaving a very restless Rey to follow after him. "You are joining me again?" He simply nodded falling in pace with him. He dint know why but seeing her again seemed important.
"She comes every evening too?"
"Yes!" Mr. Singhania beamed making him cringe at the thought of his grandpa's growing affection towards a young girl who had managed to stir some interest in him as well. This was so silly! Why was he even considering the whole idea was beyond him. "How long has this been going on?" he sounded a little angry but he dint care nor did the love struck man notice. He was just happy to go see the eye catching beauty which annoyed Rey further. He wondered what she would be wearing now? If he saw her in one of skimpy shorts again, he would have to ban his granddad from taking his so called healthy walks.
"A couple of months."
They waited at the special bench for half an hour with no sign of the beautiful girl and he hated to admit he was disappointed. "I don't think she is coming today." Rey stated getting up to leave. It was starting to get dark and he was tired. He wanted to go home now.
"There she is!"
Rey swirled around to look and his heart skipped a beat when he saw her in a bright sunny knee length dress leaning on the tree. He dint miss to check out her sexy long legs. She was laughing at something and for the first time Rey noticed she wasn't alone. To his annoyance the person she was apparently having such a good time was hiding behind the tree and he couldn't see him. He was sure it was a him' coz such a pretty girl couldn't be single. Good It would give his granddad some sense. But it did piss the shit out of him! "I'm going home!" he grumbled and started to walk away when he saw the person hiding behind the tree finally emerge out. He was wrong afterall. It was not a him' but a her. He stopped walking when he noticed the good-looking girl he and his grandfather both had an eye on, help an old woman getting up from a bench behind the tree.
So she was here with her grandmother!!
He dint know why but she looked even prettier now. The beautiful smile she gave the old lady was so endearing, it struck a chord in his heart. The ladies held each other's hand and walked away, leaving him wanting a glimpse of her again.

Next morning he waited in the living room for his grandfather to get ready. He was too anxious to see her. He couldn't sleep the entire night thinking about that gorgeous smile. He glanced at his watch and knocked at his granddad's door. "Hurry up, Grandpaa! We'll get late."
Mr. Singhania Sr, emerged with his brows raised. "Since when do you care for morning walks?" Rey simple dragged him out of the house without sounding too desperate. Very Mature! He thought rolling his eyes. He couldn't believe he was going through with this bird watching game of his granddad's.

"I should go talk to her. She looks tired." His granddad stated getting up from now their' special bench. "Rey, go get some water."
Rey saw the girl and the old lady sitting, busy talking about god only knew what. What was his grandfather talking about? She looked fresh as a daisy! She looks better with each passing day and it had been a week since he had first seen her. He saw his granddad watching him with eyes furrowed in a frown, "Rey, go get some water I said!"
"Grandpaa, you need a better opening line than offering her water."
"I said go!"
He shot up to obey. But he wasn't letting his granddad go offer the water alone. He was going with him! When he returned, his grandfather snatched it from his hand grumbling something about him being a slow boy'! Rolling his eyes, he followed his grandfather who was so eager to go talk to the girl. He would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous.
"Hello ladies." His granddad greeted the beautiful girl and her grandmom. "I noticed you looked a little tired, so I brought you this." He offered the bottle of water to the old woman, who according to Rey, blushed when she took the bottle from his grandfather's hand. Rey frowned. Was this a trick to get to talk to the young girl? Impress her grandmother and finally ask the young one on a date? He looked at the beautiful girl who was watching the two oldies with a big grin on her face. So mesmerized was he in watching her, he dint notice his grandfather had introduced him to the old woman.
"That's my grandson, Reyaansh."
Tearing his eyes off that pretty face, he smiled at the lady who was watching him with interest. "Hello Reyaansh. Nice to know you have been accompanying your grandfather for his walks." He blushed and looked at the girl who was now watching him. She smiled at him and he was too zapped to even blink. He was staring at her when his granddad cleared his throat finally catching their attention. "Why don't you two young ones go take a walk?"
Rey frowned wondering what was all this about. "Yes, Kria why don't you go take a walk with Reyaansh. I'm sure sitting with us would get boring." He looked at the girl named Kria who was about to argue when the old lady nudged her to get up. They dint have a choice but to leave the old couple alone. Things finally fell in place; his grandfather was always talking about the old lady and not Kria. Duh! What an embarrassing misunderstanding! He was sure going to laugh about this when he told this story to his grandkids someday.
Kria and Reyaansh walked in silence for a while. He dint have an opening line himself and there he was cursing his granddad sometime back about his cliches. "Would you like some lemonade?" he remembered her with a can back on the first day he laid eyes on her.
"That would be nice." She smiled as they walked to a nearby stall. They took their cans and found an empty bench not too far from where their grandparents sat.
"Your grandmother is a very pretty lady. No wonder my Grandpa was smitten by her." She laughed making his heart melt in his chest. He loved the sound of it. He wished he was always there to listen to that laugh.
"She's my grandaunt. And she has a huge crush on your grandfather." He was surprised at the news but they couldn't help laughing about it. "She drags me here everyday so she can have a look at him from behind that tree." She looked over at the old couple who were laughing at something they were discussing. "They are so cute together." She turned back to him, "When did you find about their little crush?"
Rey was embarrassed at the thought of telling her the truth that he had thought it was her who his grandpa was interested in. He told her anyway. To his surprise it made her laugh harder. "I wish a handsome man like your granddad would have come up to me in the park and offered me water too. It would have been charming!"
"I offered you lemonade. And I do look a lot like him." He smiled at the blush rush to her face. She played with her now empty lemonade can avoiding his eyes. "When can I see you again?" he asked her, holding his breath hoping she would reply in the positive.
She got up, looking down at him. "Tomorrow... At your special bench'!" She winked at him, before walking back to their old couple.
