Part 2- Apni Apni Kahani
The next day, the thought of going to school scared Angad. Mr. Das knew Angad, or else some-what recognized him. Angad recognized Mr. Das right away, he was hoping that Mr. Das' old age drained his ability to remember things…isn't that what happens to old people? While thinking about every was to avoid Mr. Das and his classroom, Angad remember that he had dropped his cell phone in the classroom when Kripa bumped into him.
A- Did I pick it up?
Angad looked around the room, in his school bag and in the pants he was wearing yesterday….he couldn't find his cell any where. Its not like Angad cell the very precious to him, he hardly ever used it. He was supposed to get a every important call.
A- she's gonna kill me!
Deep inside Angad was happy he lost his phone, these calls was something he dreaded all the time, but at the same time he wanted to know what she had to say. He hated going to see her, but at the same time every time he went, his heart was filled with new hope. But it didn't matter now, Angad knew no matter what, no one could help him. They both wanted to change destiny, but deep inside they both knew they couldn't The only difference was, Angad didn't waste his time trying, and she did. That was the difference between Angad and her.
Angad went to the bathroom, then to the kitchen to get something to eat. He looked at his home. It was a small three bedroom condo, where he and his aunt lived. It was small, but very cozy. His aunt always tried to make Angad feel like he was at home…but Angad always knew he wasn't. Now his aunt was going to get married, and move out. This aunt is quite rich, but she decided on this house because, it was near Angad's school. Angad's aunt Urvashi Mittal( Nikki) knew this was the best school for Angad at this time.
Today she left early to work. Urvashi is a doctor at Bayside City Hospital. Angad looked at the time. Grabbed his bag and left to school.
(During this) Kripa's House-
Kripa woke up late, since as usual no one woke her up. At she slept threw the alarm. She got up and brushed her teeth and got ready. She ran downstairs to the kitchen, as usual the house was empty, and there was no food left for her. She didn't have time tom make anything herself.
K- whatever, I'll just eat in school. Kripa went back up stairs to pack her bag. While packing she thought. When was the last time she and her so called family had breakfast together? Lunch? Dinner? Anything? As far as Kripa can remember, everything changed last month…when they first found out….Yes, that's when everything changed for Kripa. But she liked it this way, she was never really into the whole "Happy Family" idea. She knew her family was anything but happy. She knew the only reason her father was with her mother was because divorcing her would cost to much. But she didn't care. She knew her father and mother both despised her big brother, who was the only person she would call family. Her big brother Jai (Chetan Hansraj) She knew her mother didn't care for her. But none of this bothered her anymore….every emotion in her died along with her…..anyway, Kripa thought it was better not to get into any of this. Not again...not ever.
Kripa looked at her watch, threw her bag across her shoulder and ran out of the house…hoping that when she came back…….maybe this house would be a home. But she knew it wouldn't happen.
(During this) In Shazad's house
Shazad was snoring in his bed. He was sound asleep. His dad came in the room to wake him up. Shazad dad was a pain in the ***. He was one of those people, who were never happy with their kids. You get a 99, they ask "Where did the other one point go?". Sure it because, their concerned, but still…did they ever hear of "Appreciation"? Shazad always tried to figure out why his dad hated him so much, then when he was 15, he came to the conclusion that his not his dads real son. That his mom had an affair with someone, and Shazad was the symbol of his dad's greatest defeat. Shazads dad, Mr. Islam was a very rich businessman. He wanted Shazad to control his business after the graduate high school. The thing is, Mr. Islam wasn't sure if Shazad would ever graduate.
I- Shazad! Shazad wake up!! Shazad?!!!!
S- zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I- meri biwi ki ashiq ki ullad!!!!
S- ji abba?
I- shut up! Get up, your late for school
S- well I wouldn't be late if you didn't wake me at 5 in the morning
I- I woke you up for namaaz
S- in the past 17 years, did I ever pray fajr?
I- no
S- so why would I start now
I- Learn to respect your traditions
S- I will….later
I- Shazad…
S- I'm getting late…bye my dads girlfriends husband
I- When will you.
S- Tomorrow...I promise
I- Get dressed fast
S-Are you gonna leave, or are you gonna change me? Daddy, Daddy, I want to wear the shirt with the race car.
I- …Nazia, what kind of a boy did you give birth to?
S- A sexy lil boy
I- You know you got your looks from your dad
S- I know…and now I'm sure your not my daddy
Mr. Islam couldn't take the annoyance anymore, he just left the room. Shazad just laughed his way to the bathroom.
The thing is, sometimes Shazad truly believed that Mr. Islam wasn't his father. And I think, somewhere inside, Mr. Islam began to believe it too. Shazad went downstairs, where his mother Nazia Islam gave him breakfast
S- amma?
N- ji?
S- why do you make breakfast everyday, when you know I'm don't eat this early?
N- Because, I don't see you the rest of the day…how do I know your eating right? Beta, you wont understand now, when you have kids, you'll understand
S- amma, do you want grandchildren now? I can arrange that for you
N- Shazad!!
S (laughing)- Love ya ma…bye
Shazad left to school.
(During this) Meem's house
You could smell the food from up stairs. Meem's mom woke her up, she got dressed and came downstairs. Meem's mom and dad were strict, but very loving. Not being able to do thing, bothered Meem at first, but now she was used to it, it became normal for her.
She came downstairs and was eating breakfast, her dad Mr.Ahmed came to the dining table.
MA- Meem, I need you to look after your sister after school today
M- baba, I was going to go to eat with my friends today
MA- you don't need to go out with your friends. Meem, if you want we'll go out to eat tonight
M- no baba…its ok, I'll come after school
MA- sorry sweetie
M- no its fine
This was Meem's life. A compromise at every step. She never revolted, fought or questioned her parents. It kept the environment of the house very healthy, but inside Meem wasn't happy. How can one be, she loved her parents, but once in a while she wanted to live her own life…she started to believe she'd never get a chance to though.
(During this) Raj's House
Raj got up because of the light. He got dressed and went downstairs. He saw his father and the table.
R- Great, imma have the worst day now that I saw your face
Mr. Varma looked up at Raj.
V- Good Morning
R- not anymore
Raj sat down to have breakfast. He didn't look at Mr. Varma even once. Mr. Varma took out a gun.
V- Found this in your room yesterday, planning on becoming a murderer
R- Well, you know what they say pa, "Like Father, Like son"
Mr. Varma walked up to raj, and slapped him. Raj sat there, still, staring at his food. Mr. Varma was walking away, Raj got up, picked up the flower vase and was about to throw it at Mr. Varma. But he stopped, and put it down. Mr. Varma turned around.
V- why didn't you throw it?
R-…because im not like you. I don't just kill people.
V- really?
R- yes, really.
Raj walked up to Mr.Varma, started him right in the eye.
R-Just wait…wait until I become a lawyer. I'll take you to court, and I'll be the one fighting my moms murder case. And, I'll make sure you get hanged. I if you use your money to get out of, then….then I'll kill you.
V- you hate me that much?
R- I have no feelings for you…your not even worth my hatred.
V- That's nice to know
R- bye
Mr.Varma left the room. The main reason for Raj's immense hatred for his father was because he firmly believed that Mr.Varma killed Raj's mother. He always saw them fight, always saw him abuse her, mentally, physically, and emotionally. He knew for sure that Mr. Varma killed her. He wouldn't rest until he punished Mr.Varma. But the only twist is…it was clear the Raj's mother died, suffering from 3 years of breast cancer…Raj just wouldn't take that as an answer…
R- One day….Mr.Varma…one day.
In School, Mr. Das was walking in his classroom. He found a cell phone on the floor. He picked it up, and saw that there was a missed call. He, being the nosy person he is, check who it was from. Looking at the name shocked him, his eyes went wide. He automatically knew this was Angad's phone…and checking that one missed call, have Mr.Das the key to opening every secret in Angad's life.
