PART 33

The day went in jiffy as everyone were busy. Aman and Arnav were running around meeting high profile guests who came to AR for stay as it was pleasant holiday spot. Sanaah was behind the accounts of AR and updating the details in computer for records. Aditya was kept busy by chef sanjay who made him learn many new dishes. Nicky was running around trying to adjust in her new job. Anjali was running with Kids while Yash went on a short visit to Delhi as his business needed him.

As the day ended all were exhausted. Except for the kids and Aarthy. Aarthy's mind was anxious thinking something that made her too busy to get exhausted.

BJ: Devi, What is wrong with Aarthy? No one knows where she has gone invisible.

DM: My dear swami, There cannot be two swords in one case. When Aarthy is there, khushi cannot be there and vice versa. So I Aarthy is maintaining distance and saving herself from falling in her sight. Looks like her secret cannot hold her long.

Meenu: U wish!! For now Arshi are more important. If her secret is out, Arnav will forgive khushi on her words. Which is exactly I don't want. 😛

EVENING.

Arnav was sitting in his cabin checking some file. Aman barged into it and stood before him with a tensed face.

Meenu: sab acting hai. Dhakkan mathur.😡

Aman: ASR!! ASR!!

Arnav looked up at his face and frowned.

Arnav: WHAT?

Aman: ASR, Something very big has turned up.

Arnav: Now what Aman? Nicky is dint stop talking?

Aman: No. Its Something personal fro you.

Arnav(Sulking): Aman, I am not in mood to talk about Khushi.

Aman: Personal means I meant about your personal. I dint know that Khushi is personal for you.

Arnav: AMAN?

Aman: Ok ok. Its more serious than you think. Its about Ansh.

Arnav(cocking his brow): What about him?

Aman: You have a court order regarding his custody.

Arnav(Eyes turning Red with Rage): WHAT? WHO CAN DO THAT? I AM HIS FATHER DAMMIT. WHO DARED?

Aman: Ansh's Grandfather. Mr. PARTHESH CHOUDARY, TARA SINGH RAIZADA's FATHER and your Father in law

Arnav(Shocked): But I am his natural guardian, how can he claim his custody?

Aman: He can. As you don't have proper person to take care of him. Maa is old and Pinki will go to her sasural. So only you are left. And Ansh being kid less than 5 years, needs a woman to take care of him like mother.

Arnav: If that's the case, even Mr. Choudary cannot claim as he is also old and he doesn't have his wife too.

Aman: He can, you are forgetting his son and daughter in law, AKASH n PAYAL CHOUDARY. So they can claim Ansh's custody.

Arnav's world shattered before his eyes.

Arnav: It cannot be. I cannot let them take away. HE IS MY SON DAMMIT.

Arnav was furious, helpless, defeated all at same time. His hatred for one person increased in him to such a level that, spitting it out and keeping in his gut, both were hazardous. Aman hid his smile.

Aman: But there is only one way out.

Arnav looked up at him with hope in his eyes. Aman has never seen ASR so vulnerable.

Here Khushi finished her duty and was dragged to the poolside by Ansh and Meetthi. Meetthi was behind Khushi all day calling her bui bui as Yash and Anjlai trained her to. Khushi smiled heating it that she forgot her encounter with Arnav in the morning.

Khushi settled down on the recliner with Ansh and Meetthi on her laps listening to all their stories. Suddenly Ansh turned to her.

Ansh: Khushi can I ask you something?

Khushi smiled at him and nodded.

Ansh: Can I call you Maa?

He asked with his innocent face that made Khushi forget the world around her. Her Love's son was asking her if he can call her maa? Khushi dint react at all. It was like She became statue.

BJ: such a big shock?

DM: Off course. Its not easy job to do nail art you know? But I got it done at last.

Bj slapped his hands on his forehead.

BJ: Why will I talk about Nail art? I was saying about Khushi.

DM turned her head to her nails making herself busy.

Meenu: Looks like couples on earth are far better than these two. *Rolling eyes*.

Nicky's voice bought her back to present.

Nicky: Ansh, You should ask your papa's permission to call her that. For now can I borrow your Khushi for sometime?

She asked in her baby voice which attracted Meetthi and annoyed ansh. The kids nodded their heads and went into garden to play.

Nicky settled in recliner next to Khushi.

Nicky: Khushi, we dint meet often as I was studying out of town. Still you know, hearing about you from Papaji has made me think that we are some long lost sisters.

Khushi: Indeed. Rannvi Paaji used to say a lot about you that made me think the same.

She said smiling wide while Nicky frowned.

Nicky: Papaji used to say about me? I don't think he said good about me. As I never did any good before. So obviously he must have said all my mischieves to you. Right?

Khushi smirked with a glint in her eyes which were noticed by a pair of amused eyes.

Khushi: Now I get y paaji sent you to hostel for studies.

Nicky: cocked her eye brows.

Khushi: because for the same reason as yours, me and Nanhe were also sent from lucknow to Delhi by buaji for studies. Non stop talking and mischieves.

Both of then laughed at that.

Nicky: That's right. But say me something. You were so simple and comosed. Then why did some gunda like people came in search of you after you left the town?

Khushi's eyes widened at that.

Khushi: so they dint believe me. Not even after I gave them all my money selling the ladt piece of my property. They thought me to be cheap while they did this?

Tears made their way down Khushi's eyes. Nicky took her in her embrace and consoled her as the pair of eyes shut for a minute controlling the pain.

Nicky: You sold your property? For what?

Nicky knew that something was wrong about Khushi and Arnav as her father's words about her and Arnav's words as said by Aman about Khushi were resulting in totally different picture. So she decided to pull words out of Khushi which was easy due to her talkative nature and she succeeded too.

BJ: Lage raho Nicky beta

Proceed.

DM: This is a smart dhakkan.

Meenu: Indeed.

Khushi: I did for him. Only him. So that it will help him in bringing up his drowning business. I also left him so that he can marry a girl who can bring prosperity along with her that would help him in bring his father's dream to reality, for which he was working hard day and night forgetting himself. But what I got? He thinks me to be a cheat. Why me always? At very young age I lost my parents and childhood leaving me alone to take care of my little brother. Then he comes in my life filling it with so much love which I was craving for. But everything suddenly turns out to be a nightmare pushing me into and endless well of grief. Why is he doing that to me? I cant even tell him the truth and I cant see him like this killing himself and others along with him. My one single sacrifice for his sake turned out to be a beaten snake which is now back to seek its revenge from me. But how will I say that, I never beat the snake but was given the stick after beating it.

Khushi poured out everything and cried her heart out venting all her tears that she held in herself for past 3 years. She cried for her, for him, for their lost love, for her foolishness of leaving him. for his blindness in not believing her.

BJ: Your bitiya poured out everything but for their names. How stubborn like you.

DM: looks who is saying. Look at your bitwa Arnav who is listening to everything from behind the poolside wall. Is he not manipulative like you?

BJ: Huh! if I was manipulative enough do you think I will be sitting here arguing with you instead of enjoying my jawani with some diwani?

DM: dream off.

Meenu: These two never get tired.

Arnav saw Nicky and asked her to move out with his eye gesture.

Nicky calmed Khushi down.

Nicky: Khushi, it's just a bad game of fate. Everything will fall in its places soon. You just don't lose hope. For now let me go and see where my Dhakkan is, Looks like he forgot me. I will have to remind him of his 1 day lover. No more crying ok?

Khushi smiled nodding her head. She felt light after sharing some with nicky. Khushi was about to move out when two strong arms caught her waist from behind.

Khushi closed her eyes recognizing the touch.

Khushi: Please leave me.

Arnav: No. please stay like this for sometime Khushi. Please.

Khushi turned to see his face and was shocked to see him in such a vulnerable state which she witnessed in the park the day his mother was admitted in hospital. Khushi's hands automatically held his face and her eyes looked into his watery eyes. Tears rolled down their cheek in unison.

DM: Kya pyaar hai? what a love.

BJ: Sacha pyaar hai. its true love.

DM: Pyaar mein sacha jhoota nahi hota. There is no true or false in love.

BJ: Whatever.

Meenu: Urhhh!! No hopes, when the creators themselves are like this what can be expected from bichare humans?

Arnav's hands tightened on her waist as Khushi's hands circled his neck and kept her head on his chest. Arnav buried his head on her crook and his tears wet her kurti there. Khushi held him closer. Arnav cried, cried for his lost love and for not believing in his love. He cried for not able to ease her pain like she does to him. He cried for himself who failed in the promise of keeping his love happy always.

After a long time, Arnav looked upto her face. He cupped her face and looked into her eyes.

Arnav: Will you marry me?

BJ: Finally.

DM: not so soon.

Meenu: *Smirking devilishly*
