A Child's Love {A KriYaansh OS}
Sitting on her bed she was going through her wedding album. That is when she went back into time.. 22nd November 1989 Smriti was cleaning the entire house. Gautam was out fetching things to prepare the dinner and a few other things. The two girls were busy cleaning their rooms.
Today their father's best friend Sameer was to come home with his family. The girls were excited as they loved uncle Sameer and knew that he had two sons, Rey and Swayam. They were happy that today, as after a long time they all will get together and do some mischief just like before.
In the evening the Singhania's arrived. At first the girls didn't talk much and helped their mother with the kitchen work. But soon they all let the awkwardness fade and Sharon sprang up. 'Come on Rey and Swayam. What are we doing in between this oldage? Let us go and have some fun. What say?' Hearing that Rey sighed and the two got up and went along with the sister's to Kria's room.
Entering the room they saw Kria playing a bike racing video game. She was focusing on the game, when Swayam came and booed her from behind. Confused with the sudden outbreak she hit the wrong button and lost control. Turning she lunged at Swayam and the two started fighting. Just like always. They were all in 6th grade and knew each other since they were in Nursery. Swayam and Kria were more close just like Rey and Sharon. After watching the fight for some time in absolute silence, Rey spoke up. 'Stop it you too. You always do this. And then end up laughing. So stop boring us. Let's do something.'
Kria looked at him for a moment and then looked away. Why do I feel so weird when I look at him? She questioned herself. Ignoring this feeling she went ahaid and shook her hands with him. Exchanging the pleasantries they all sat down on the bed with the laptop in front of them. Logging into FB they all started going through their friend's pictures and started having lots of fun. They were laughing their hearts out when Aarti came in asking the children to come to the dining table for dinner.
On the dinner table the families had lots of fun. They talked about so many things. Childern's dance and their trip to Australia together being the main topics of discussion. After the dinner the Ghai family convinced the Singhania's to stay over. The elders gathered in the living room while the children went out to the garden.
The garden area was a huge one. There was a forest on one side and a pond on the back side. The mansion was situated on a huge area. They started playing hide and seek. Sharon was the one who had to find the others. She went for counting when the other three went in the woods for hiding. Sharon started finding them. Searching the entire garden and finiding no on she proceeded towards the forest. When she went deeper into the forest the three came from behind and scared her. Sharon was actually shocked and started crying. Seeing this, Swayam went ahead and started consoling her. Rey and Kria were still laughing. Anger taking over Swayam he ordered the two to leave from there.
On the way back Rey and Kria talked a lot. It was the first time the two were talking so much with each other. Before this, they have always maintained their distance. But today they broke their boundaries. They were actually enjoying each other's company a lot. They went to Kria's room and sat on her bed. They started watching a movie and soon both fell asleep. Kria's head on Rey chest and Rey's hand around her waist.
In the morning, when Rey woke up, he was surprised to see hoe close they both were. He looked at Kria and started admiring her. He knew about all that love stuff but was confused about his feelings for Kria. Ignoring it he woke her up and the two went down. It was a new day for both of them and their equation was a new one.
6 years later..
The four friend's were now in college. In the same college. After that night, the four of them bonded on a different level. Rey and Kria started understanding each other very well and are now the bestest of friends whereas Swayam and Sharon started dating in grade 10. They all used to hang out together but mostly Kria and Rey would leave them to themselves.
Once Rey and Kria were sitting in Rey's room. By this time Rey had realised his feelings. Still he didn't know how to tell her. It was later that day when Kria told him that she was thinking of going to the upcoming dance with Kabir, Rey was actually jealous. Kabir was heads over heels in love with Kria. Rey could not risk Kria going with him. 'What if the two..' He stopped that thought there itself. He could not let that happen.
'Kriaaa.' Rey called out. 'What's wrong Rey?' Kria asked looking up from the laptop. 'You are going to the dance with me.' 'What?' 'Yes. That Taani girl cancelled on me. And how can you see your best friend going alone? Please come with me na!' 'What? You're not going with that Tani?' Kria asked excittedly. Rey looked at her with confusion in his eyes. Of late he was noticing that Kria would burst out whenever he spent time with other girls. It was like he could only look at her and no other girl. 'What I mean is that's so sad. Well no worries, we'll go together.' Saying this she god up, hugged Rey and left from there.
On the day of dance Rey and Kria were announced as the couple of the night. Both of them were looking ravishing. Their dance was one full of passion and feeling. Rey saw a new spark in Kria's eyes when they were dancing. He was taking a sip of his drink when he receieved a texy from Kria. She had called him outside. He followed her instructions and went out.
Kria was sitting on a bench. Seeing Rey she got up. She faced him and said, 'Rey. Dekh tu mera bachchpan ka dost hai. Haina? Rey nodded his head. He was hell confused with what was going on. 'So ab tujhe meri ek baat maanni padegi. Promise me that you'll not say no? Please, for me.' Rey agreed. Grinning widely Kria held her hand out and said, 'See, main jyada drama nahi karungi. Toh seedhe seedhe keh rahi hun. I love you. Will you be mine?' Rey was shocked. Yes he loved her. But he never expected her to propose him. He didn't know what to say. Kria continued, 'Itta kya soch raha hai. Jaldi bol.' Rey couldn't help but smile at her innocene. He started walking towards her. Placing one hand in her hand, he wrapped his free arm around her waist and pulled her towards him. Looking into her eyes, he bent down and touched his lips with hers. That is all Kria wanted to know. She responded and kissed him back. Breaking the kiss Rey looked at Kria and was surprised to see a soft blush on her face. Tilting his head he said 'I love you too' and the two went back, hands-in-hand.
