Yay!!!

This was the kind of chapter which if one were watching it on the big screen would definitely make you set your tub of popcorn aside, straighten up and sit on the edge of the seat, almost holding your breath. What high powered, elegantly crafted drama, and you already know how much I love drama!

With this the second act commences and how!!

The chapter started on such a beautiful, serene note, a young girl reminiscing about her first kiss...the proverbial calm before the storm! I found it interesting that she doesn't think like a typical, dreamy teenager. She is refreshingly sensible and doesn't have her head full of fluff...

Her fear while hiding, inadvertently overhearing the brother sister face-off and on being discovered by Arnav was very palpable, very well portrayed by you.

Arnav's reaction: Though wrong on many levels, wasn't totally unexpected. Forced kisses are not cool at all and I'm glad Khushi let him know that in no uncertain terms and without mincing her words.

And he agreed that he's a bas***d. Hmm. Probably figuratively, though the prologue did flash in front of me for a moment. You expressed his mental turmoil very well, conversation in small terse sentences, agitated hand movements and aggressive body language.

Really proud of the way Khushi stood her ground and despite being scared told him what she believed he needed to hear. Something you wouldn't do to any random stranger. This shows that she has really come to care about him. Poor girl, really feel for her.

As for Arnav, as much as I despised his actions, I couldn't help feeling sorry for him. What he feels right now about the need to truly stand on his own two feet and not being financially dependent on anyone is something every self respecting person would. But yes, he should have shared that with Nani, he owes that much to her, if not more.

Wonderful chapter Sandy and I really hope Arnav comes to his senses soon and apologizes to Khushi!

And last but not the least ... Cigarettes ..You touched a raw nerve there..!!!!

Waiting for the next with bated breath :)

Edit1: I'm still reeling..!! Need to gather my thoughts, take a deep breath and.. will be right back..

Edit2: I'm struggling to say if this is your best chapter or one of your best chapters 😕 Is it cliched if I say I was feeling the tension thick in the air? Hats off to you for pulling it off so effortlessly!! 👏 If Khushi is right in saying 'Arnav is right to have his dreams but is wrong in the way he is planning to go about them' then I'm sorry to say this she is wrong to tell him about his mother..!! She touched a raw nerve!! That pissed him of greatly..!! She is still too young and immature and acted hastily..she is not his girl friend, not his wife, a mere acquaintance by being his guest, should have known her limits..!! Pardon my tirade on Khushi, Sandhya, but I'm kind of angry on Khushi right now 😡 Instead of soothing she exasperated the situation. She may have genuine intentions but I feel her approach was not right. And that kiss, if I say I saw it coming, the ending was totally not 😲 This guy is seriously f**ked up, he needs help, he needs some TLC 😭 (wish I could hug him and tell him everything is going to be okay😵)

He remained true to his words by agreeing that he is a bas***d which is, he does not give a damn to any one in the world or to what any body thinks of him. I'm not going to predict what's going to happen next as you manage to pack a punch or few punches actually but it's the wait that will bother me now.

Fantastic + fabulous = fantabulous update 👏 You have perfected the art of story telling!! I loved it even though it was full of angst!!

Cheers
K

(p.s: I loved the opening of the chapter, served two purposes, Khushi's feelings about the first kiss, her attraction towards Arnav, her contemplation to stay back etc and that she was not eavesdropping on the conversation!! I also loved how the same starry sky with a full bright moon as a backdrop for the kiss few hours ago has turned into starless, moonless sky with cloud cover hinting at what's coming next!)

Res for Charu

What I loved about the update was that in spite of Arnav's anger and her fear, Khushi is not afraid to tell him he is wrong. Loved the entire scene.
First Khuhi's realisation that she might be in love with Arnav, than their whole conversation in the garden.
Arnav is ambitious and wants to be independant. He could have spoken to his family about his ambition and they would have supported him. His goal is not wrong, just the way he is going about it is.
He could at least have discussed this with his sister.
So Khushi is right. But in his anger Arnav has alieniated everyone. And he is going to be so alone.
Maybe then he will realise his mistake.
Wonderful update as usual, Sandy. But then now we expect this from you. And you deliver each time! 👏

What a fanf**kingtastic update !!!!👏

To begin with Khushi's monologue and her day dreaming of her first ever kiss was so blissful and of course the bubble was waiting to burst unfortunately.

The main argument between Arnav and Khushi... i absolutely loved it.

The arrogance , the frustration , the helplessness and that ego getting hit was brilliantly portrayed for Arnav. I loved his dialogues ...And what i enjoyed the most was the backdrop setting with the rain and the little gestures you keep implying at to the readers every now and then with his hand movements , his body language in totality and the works.. really helps to see the image in your mind while reading..

You used the iconic ARHI scene in a very unique Sandhya way... loved that description as well.

Coming to out heroine , jhansi ki rani quite literally...

Loved how you have portrayed her as someone with her head firmly on her shoulders and the contrast of in her image with what this chapter opened where we saw a young girl experiencing her first kiss and day dreaming , confused about her feelings in comparison to this young woman who spoke her mind without any hesitation or any preambles .. perfectly captured.

He kissed her again .. forcefully not done Raizada at all... but knowing you i am sure he will repent badly for this act ...

Now she called him bas***d and he said indeed !!! What is this hinting at ???

Loved it Sandy !!!!!

Brilliant... Absolutely brilliant writing... One of the most attracting aspect of ARSHI was their strong individualistic beliefs... Arnav has his reasons for not trusting with matters of heart and on contrary Khushi thinks n lives with heart... Their dimaag vs dil fights in the show was something that made me love IPK and Sandhya here you made the dimaag vs dil take more realistic... I loved the way she made a point on how his aspirations were not wrong but the way he singles him out from his family was...

I loved her mature take there and you dint make it seem something beyond her age either... Everything felt right... They are both too strong as individuals and one can't blame when they become spit fires... Anger does takes over every rational thought and for a person like Arnav it was only natural he lost his cool when she brought in his mother... Mothers love cannot be substituted but that does not mean someone who loves you like a mother could be any less either... We can't tell he is wrong but neither is he right there... Blame it destiny or fate, life does get cruel sometimes and little rays of hope may not matter at such times... People tend to see beyond the little mercies... That's what Arnav does here... The cruel fate has made him too blind to think about the people around him...

Khushi spoke her mind and I love her for it... She dint look like a weak teen who was blinded with the fuzzy crush effects when she confronted him... I am waiting to read further on the effect this outburst will have on the budding love birds...

Edit

When it rains it pours indeed!

Humans have this innate quality whereby they worry about the future that is yet to come rather than enjoy the present that is knocking at your door incessantly.

So true this statement is Sandy! While people don't like to admit to it, this is quite the norm so constantly worry about the future.

Now on to the chapter. Well quite a turn of events. There are ups and downs in each love story as no single person is perfect, so it's fine to see both sides. Since you mentioned William Wordsworth this quote came into my mind as I read the chapter.

What we need is not the will to believe, but the wish to find out. by William Wordsworth

So Arnav asked Khushi for her opinion and she gives it to him honestly. Of course an angry Arnav Singh Raizada is just as you said, one that is childish and totally loses sight of the consequences of his action. I loved how you termed that Arnav as lord of fire and Khushi as no damsel in distress ..

Arnav's anger and Khushi's spunk is engrained. I loved how she gave it to him good and simply didn't back down. The truth stung Arnav and he reacted, which is what he does. As I mentioned before, people with tempers often love quite passionately so can't wait to see how their love story continues to evolve.

Absolutely wonderful writing Sandy!
