Part Five

Angad dropped kripa home later that night, around 11:15 PM. And after doing some paper work, she went to sleep.

Kripa woke up the next morning around noon. As soon her eyes opened, she could smell the delicious pancakes, Shahid had probably made her. Kripa ran into the shower, and was back out 15 minutes later, rapped in a towel. She got a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and pulled them on. Just then she turned around to look at the calendar for appointments. None today. She scanned over the calendar, there was something written boldly in red ink. It read: WEDDING DAY!

She looked at the date; it was a week from… TODAY!?

Kripa rushed into the Khanna Mansion.

"Where's your stupid brother?" Kripa asked Shagun.

"my 'stupid' brother is upstairs, in bed"

"okay"

Kripa ran up the stairs randomly skipping a step to get their quicker.

She flew open the door,

"Angad! Your such an idiot! Why don't you EVER go to the stupid doctors? That's what they're for you know! Why do you always annoy me like this Angad? Can't you be NORMAL for once?" Kripa stopped to get some air.

"Shut up kripa, I'm fine!!" Angad said, pulling Kripa's hand, allowing her to sit next to angad, at the edge of the bed.

"You're not fine!" Kripa touched angad's forehead, "see, you have a fever!"

"It's a minor fever kripa, CHILL"

"Fine, why should i care, if you dont?"

"uhh because your going to be my wife soon."

"Angad, thanks for reminding me, the actual reason I came here was because, have you looked at the date?"

"Yeah, why?"

"BECAUSE OUR WEDDING IS A WEEK FROM TODAY!! I thought you were going to do something so we wouldn't have to get married!!"

"Kripa, I really can't do anything, because my mom and dad really, really want you as their 'bahu'" Angad said, air quoting the 'bahu'.

Kripa's insides jumped for joy, while kripa had no idea why! She wasn't in love with him. They were best friends. Not lovers. Just best friends. Right? That was still something Kripa had to debate with herself.

"Angad, i know, but, i don't know, it does'nt seem right, you know, me marrying you!"

"and why is that?"

"because, when i was a little child, i had always dreamed of marrying a charming young, guy, with no kids and who wasn't a divorcee. Angad, Your the complete opposite, but you are quiete the charmer Angad"

Angad smiled a sad smile, So she did'nt love him after all.

"look, I got to go." Kripa said, after an uncfomfertable awkward silence.

"Okay, bye"

"Bye"

She leaned over, and placed her lips on Angads cheek.

"Feel better"

She patted angads cheek and left.

As soon as Kripa left the room, a sad smile played on both, Angad and Kripa's lips. So they would get married after all.
