Just started reading this story, and I must say, you've got me hooked!
This is a very interesting story, along with the characterization of Khushi's chirpy nature, and her longing. I felt bad to see how she was treated in the Gupta household, and even worse to see that all Khushi wanted was love and acceptance. Shame, her dream of finding a husband who could fill that void was unfulfilled.
However, she has managed to leave a mark on her family but I wonder if Khushi's treatment at the Gupta household would ever come out in the open? I wonder how the Raizadas will react to that. The poor girl had to suffer enough in her childhood, from being robbed from her parents, to losing her childhood into looking after the Gupta household. 18 is definitely not an age to look after a family, she should be in college looking for a bright future, or gossiping with friends. But Khushi was forced to mature faster than her age. I surely hope she gets to go back to school.
Arnav is an immature kid. At age of 28, he has achieved success in business, but not in his maturity. He is jealous to be left out in the family, and blames it all on Khushi, despite knowing that it was him who wanted to get away from all the affection of the family. He is seeking revenge from Khushi, for reasons unknown. Calling her a maid to burst his ego is such an arrogant attitude. I hope Khushi kills this attitude of his.
Anjali, on the other hand, has made me really happy. I see this strong woman, who, despite of her past, is willing to revive her life. All thanks to Khushi, she has found courage and a true sister. I hope this courage of starting a new life, gives her strength to face the world. She is a wonderful being.
I could go on and on about Payal, but just like her presence, I have no words. She could have defended Khushi in the Gupta household, yet she was quite. I wonder if she is spoiled, or just extremely shy. When she picked lunch for Akash and left Khushi alone, it didn't seem that she was as shy as I thought her to believe. I thought that was pretty rude of her to not glance back at Khushi and just walk away. Is she jealous with the attention that is bestowed on Khushi? After all, no matter how invisible she is, Payal is still a human, and she has been spoiled at her mother's house. Wouldn't she expect the same with the Raizadas?
ps. I would love to see more of this. Please do pm me with the updates.
pss. Take your time with the updates, and I wish a fast recovery to your mother.
