As she stood at her stop, she couldn't control the anticipation seeping into her body. Her excitement knew no bounds. Her new hair cut just seemed to up her self-esteem by large numbers. The short haircut with a cute fringe in the front suited her face well. She had got enough compliments but was waiting today, eagerly for the best compliment.

She looked out and spotted the yellow bus bearing her college's name approach her. her blood cooled in a second and she felt tingly. As it came closer, her eyes began to scan the front seat..the sight was faint..as she looked more..she felt herself losing the battle..she wished what she saw wasn't true ! her whole world fell apart at once, all her dreams came crushing through and lay dead on the ground.

He wasn't there!

Her frustration was so evident. She roughly got into the bus...with her eyes moist..wait was she crying? she wasn't crying because he wasn't there mostly..she was crying because this had to happened today only? She cursed god with all her might.

All the people gazed at her with disbelief. The guys leaned sideways to get a better view. Shimone sat with her mouth open. Guess the hair cut was suiting her well. But Saakshi sat unfazed by the attention. She didn't care.

"omg! Saakshi.!! U look sooo good...i mean like sooo cute" shimone said happily.

Saakshi gave a smile. Shimone was surprised. This crazy giving girl just a smile meant something wasn't right. And Shimone guessed it right away.

"its okay..maybe he missed his bus.." she tried to tell Saakshi.

"hmm" saakshi said silently as she smiled slowly.

The girl sitting adjacent patted Saakshi on her back and said " hey saakshi u look really good!".

Saakshi was taken aback. She smiled acknowledging her comment. Soon everyone started giving her compliments which made Saakshi super happy but still she wished he were here.

Even in college, number of compliments didn't fall short! she felt good with all the attention! But still today morning's incident didn't keep her in her best moods.

College got over as usual. She and Shimone were walking towards their bus. Saakshi thought of how boring the bus ride would be today because he wasn't there. Sadly as she neared, she looked up to get in and she F***ing didn't believe what she saw. Was this really happening??? Were her eyes deceiving her?

She saw a tall figure sitting in the front, at his usual place adjacent to the driver, wearing a crisp white shirt and blue jeans! Shitt!! It was him.

All the lost joy came back in a second, her lungs were filled with fresh air. Out of uncontrollable excitement Saakshi screamed at Shimone " i do not believe this" as she got into the bus, making him turn around and take notice.

As he saw her, he sat there gaping at her without blinking. OMG. Seems like she wasn't the one only to get surprises today. She sat behind the driver's seat and kept looking at him and he looked back with the same intensity. As she looked on unabashedly she saw his mouth flinch..wait was that smile? God ! This day couldn't get better ! She blushed straight on his face making him smile. He turned around as other people began thronging the bus.

"you saw that?"

"of course" shimone answered surprised.

"he likes you pakka!!" shimone said confidently.

"really?? You think so..even i think so..but.." saakshi made a cute face.

The bus suddenly began to move.

"see i told you he missed his bus" shimone said.

Saakshi smiled and hugged Shimone tightly. He saw her gesture in the mirror and thought "this paagal" and smiled.

She looked front at him..he saw her in the mirror with a hint of a smile. She blushed and looked away. Then he did the unexpected he turned back to look at her directly. Saakshi was happily shocked. She couldn't suppress the growing smile. Shimone sat astonished at what was happening.

"saakshi..ye pakka tumhe like karta hain!" she said undoubtedly.

Saakshi smiled happily and jumped screaming "yayy!" everyone looked at her including him...she was embarrassed seeing him look at her. she looked down immediately making him bite his lip. Yeah, she saw that too!

This silsila was going on when suddenly the bus screeched to a halt. Everyone looked at the driver surprised.

The driver got down without saying anything. Everyone were looking outside, some even got down. Ahh! The tire was punctured. While many cursed the bus, Saakshi sat admiring him thanking god that she will get to see his face for a longer time.
