There was another kingdom named Malwa north of Kanchi , by the time it also had been turned into an empire though bigger but not as prosperous as Kanchi. For centuries Malwa and Kanchi maintained a hostile relation with each other , the main cause of their rivalry was having possession over the fertile lands between Malwa's main river Godavari and Kanchi's main river Krishna. As having an agriculture based economy Malwa was needed to have those fertile lands which was source for plenty and varieties of crops and trade based Kanchi needed those place for trading interest. In the past no. of battles were fought between these two kingdoms ,many soldiers died on both sides ,both own in times but final result was undecided. many times emperors tried to settle the matter and no. of peace treaties were signed but didn't lasted for long as soon as emperor changed.
In that time the emperor of Malwa was Hemantavarma. He was not interested to continue the age old rivalry. he was quite happy with his queen , son and countrymen not interested to sacrifice lives of countrymen in destructive warfare.
King Adityasen of Kanchi was also least interested in rivalry with Malwa so both the king were interested in some sort of peace settlement but it was not Ugrasen's wish. He wanted anyhow the rivalry gets continued . He started to poison Adityasen's mind that Malwa king instigates the Shipping labours of Kanchi but Adityasen was still not convinced and he decided to have a peace settlement with King Hemantavarma and left for the meeting with him when Agni and Surya were only one month old.
In the absence of Adityasen , Ugrasen got an opportunity to kill the baby princes and came up with a plan when he came to know n queen with baby princes was visiting a Shiva temple for a special worship in the completion of one month of princes and sent few men in the guise of labors to kill the princes. As the temple was near to the port city where labors lived so it was easy to put the blame to them. One night they got the opportunity with help of a priest of temple who was also Ugrasen's sides , there was a ritual for which princes need to have bath in a holy lake in temple premise, but soldiers were not allowed there as that place is for only mother and children. So queen went there without protection with baby princess , Then with the help of that traitor priest Ugrasen's men in guise of labor attacked the queen and tried to take away the princes , The queen cried for help but none came to help her , she tried her best to save princes , to see they may caught one of the men stabbed her with knife and pushed her in the lake , they were almost succeeded to run away but only then queen's most trusted maid come friend reached there and to see the situation she without hesitation jumped to save the prince and managed to take away Surya from them in spite of having injured. In the meantime listening to her scream many priests reached there so in those men run away with only prince Agni before priests could catch them. But being in guise of labor everyone thought they are actually labors.
When queen was taken out of lake she had very little time left , she took promise from her maid to be mother for Surya and died .
This incident enraged the soldiers and with Ugrasen's order they attacked the places where labors lived and started torturning the rebellious labors vigorously , women were dishonored even child and old men were not left. One of the labor was Kinkar who was the leader of the labors , he decided to protest against such injustice . when his son was burnt alive his patience was broken and he himself killed a royal officer and in his leadership few of the labors with family managed to flee and sell themselves in small boat to an island , as many of the labor also worked as boatmen so they knew how to sell on sea. They took shelter in a nearby island and started making their settlement.
Here with Ugrasen's order one of his man had thrown prince Agni in the sea, But destiny had some other plan Agni didn't sink rather was floating with waves and found by grief stricken Kinkar's wife while trying to drawn herself in the sea in the grief of her son. She took Agni as the blessing of God to a grieving mother , She recognized the child as prince as Agni's locket had his name written on it she decided to keep his name but she hided all his evidence of being a royal child so that her husband or other labors won't get to know about child's identity and won't ask her to abandon the prince. So when she returned with the child everyone accepted Agni as one of them not knowing who he is.
Thus in the game of Destiny two twin brothers got separated with different fate.

When Adityasen returned from the peace conference the news of queen's murder and one of the prince's kidnapping. When he came to know that some labors have committed this crime from sympathetic ruler he turned into a vengeful king and asked Ugrasen to do whatever torture he can do with those labors. Ugrasen made him to believe that rebel labor leader Kinkar was behind murder of queen, Adityasen ordered to find him anyhow whether alive or dead. He was so enraged that now even he couldn't reject the angle of Malwa's involvement in this conspiracy which Ugrasen suggested so he became reluctant in peace settlement with Malwa. His all concentration fell upon his son Surya, he built a perfect security system for prince , which made Ugrasen's plan to harm prince going into vein. He started waiting for right opportunity but didn't get any soon

10 years passed. two princess grew up with same face but different fate. When Surya got every pleasure of life Agni had to fight for basic needs of life. Where Surya got lessons from most learned teachers of Dakshinapath Agni had to learn from nature and life but still he was happy with the small world around her in that island , the runaway labor had started farming , fishing and making wooden boats , which were sold to some foreign merchants, thus they were living though poor but happy peaceful life, but their happiness was short-lived.
On the other hand Malwa was under this misconception that Kanchi is maintaining peace with them though Kanchi didn't proceed with the peace settlement but there was no sense of conflict from them. By the time Hemantverma and his queen Minati was blessed by a beautiful daughter Manikangna people never saw such an elegant princess in such young age. Malwa's only prince had reached to the age of 16, Hemanverma thought to announce crowning of the prince, but prince asked the permission for a trip with friends before getting into such responsibility, With much hesitation king and queen gave him permission but it was tough to make 4 years old Mani convinced as she couldn't live a moment without her brother , after promising to come back soon at last her brother succeed to get her permission for journey unaware of the fact what is waiting in future.
After roaming many places in Malwa prince decided to go a beautiful place located at the the controversial region of Krishna-Godavari , as they were sure Kanchi won't have any problem as its just an entourage , but they were proved wrong as soon as they reached there Kanchi's army arrested them , Prince didn't have enough soldiers as they were only in a tour so he couldn't resist them. Prince wanted to make them convinced that they had no plan for attacking but none listened to them, The news reached to Ugrasen as King Adityasen went to Surya's gurukul , Ugrasen stopped the news to reach to Adityasen , and issued order on Aditya's name to kill the prince .
The news of Prince's capture reached to Hemantverma too but before he could reach to his son's rescue prince was killed brutally though he till his last breathe resisted, When his father reached there was nothing left else than Prince's deadbody , enraged father considered Adityasen as responsible for that act and attacked Kanchi to avenge prince's death , that's what Ugrasen wanted. Adityasen after coming back to capital got the ex aggregated news of Malwa trying to trespass in Kanchi's border , and he also announced war against Malwa.
When the war was going on Ugrasen didn't take part in that as he considered its the opportunity to finish Suryasen off but in the meantime some rare foreign goods from Subarnabhumi came to port of Injum and to receive them he had to postponed of the idea of killing Surya and thus Surya became safe for now.
But while checking the goods Ugrasen's atention falls on boats of few merchants those strong small boats only Kinkar used to make , asking the merchant Ugrasen got to know about the island where few of labors are living in and one day with thousands of soldiers he attacked the island , suddenly Agni's small peaceful world had been crushed when his foster father Kinkar was brutally killed by Ugrasen and many other rebellious labor were killed too many women and young girls were taken by the soldiers for own pleasure and rest were brought back to the port-city including Agni , his foster mother and 3 years old daughter of Kinkar , Madhura . To see his father killed in front of his eyes Agni's anger and hatred towards the royalty of Kanchi reached to the highest peak , he decided one day he will take revenge to the king of Kanchi for all this torture.
On the other hand the war between Kanchi and Malwa remained undecided as both the kings got wounded so they had to stop the war temporarily. But the situation remained hostile and dangerous. Malwa mourned on the death of their only prince. but most hurt of the kingdom was princess Manikangna , even that young age she decided one day she surely give worst punishment to Kanchi for snatching her brother away.

Few years passed. to ensure Kanchi's strength Adityasen got Surya married to a powerful feudal lord's daughter Padmini. And at the age of 18 Surya became the emperor of Kanchi after his father passed away
In Malwa 2 years after death of prince queen gave birth to younger princess Swarnarekha , though all wanted a prince , but queen was not able to be mother anymore , Swarnarekha was given the lesson of a prince , Manikangna started learning about the administration. Hemantverma adopted Mitradev the son of queen Minati's brother to make him his legal heir.

how their life takes turn by destiny is to be seen now.
