Chapter 7
Suddenly, Khushi felt a force pushing her and in no time Khushi crashed against the window breaking the glass and she felt herself falling out of the window...
"AAAHHH!!!"
"KHUSHIII!!!"Arnav whipped his head around towards Khushi's direction. As he saw
Khushi falling outta the window, his feet started running as fast as they could and his hands pushed everyone away on their own accord. Panic and fear gripped his heart.
Arnav literally jumped towards the window in less than two seconds. The word 'fear' was written on his face in bold letters.
"Khushi...KHUSHI!!! Khushi!! Please tell me you are here!! Khushi!!!" Arnav cried out as his gaze wildly roamed over the forest outside and the ground beneath.
"A...A..Arn..av...I..I am...here" Arnav's eyes widened as he heard Khushi stutter from somewhere. He hurriedly bent over the window and looked down only to see Khushi hanging in mid air, a meter below the actual window and where Arnav stood, holding the edge of the broken window frame which was now unscrewed from the top and dangling. The window frame had only two bolts holding it.
"Khushi! Don't panic, okay?! I'll save you. You trust me, right!" Arnav was assuring himself more than he was assuring Khushi and however much he tried, he couldn't keep the panic out of his voice.
"Khushi!!" Jenna shouted as her mouth hung open in the air. Hurriedly, the rest scrambled to Arnav's place to help Khushi in some way.
"Khushi, you'll be alright! Okay?! We're all here to help you" Malcom tried to support everyone with one of his hand on Arnav's shoulder.
"Yeah Khushi, just don't leave the frame, okay?! We're here, okay?! Just keep looking at us" Jenna tried to calm the situation as Arnav was wildly looking for something like a stock or a rod to pull Khushi up. NK nodded as he helped Arnav.
"I can't find anything!!!" Arnav's words were dripping with frustration and worry.
"Wait!! Why don't we just get the rod which held up the curtain" Malcom suggested as he jumped up and slid the curtain out of the rod and pulled the rod off the wall with a quick pull.
"Yeah!!" Arnav walked over and took the rod from Malcom and hurriedly slid it out of the window and down towards Khushi. Jenna who was till now saying calming and soothing words to Khushi, now moved aside to give Arnav some space.
"Khushi!!! Khushi, please hold the rod tightly. We are gonna pull you up. Don't worry!!! Look, you're gonna be with us in no time!! We already have the rod" Arnav spoke up with a little urgency as they all lined up, one after the other to hold the rod to make it secure with Arnav at the front, Malcom after him, then NK held the rod from behind and the the end was held by Jenna in a tight grip.
"Kayy...Arnav, I'll hold the rod now!!! I...I have held it!!" Khushi spoke up with fright still in her words.
"Guys, start pulling!!" All four of them started pulling the the rod from their own spots.
"Almooost theere" NK spoke up with a sigh of relief as he saw the rod coming up.
"Don't let loose, we're almost done" Jenna said with relief and joy on her face.
"Yup, we have done it!" Malcom said as now half of Khushi's body was in sight. Khushi could see them all now from the window as a panicky smile made its way up Khushi's lips. But before she could be pulled up, Khushi's hold slackened on the rod as she felt cool air hit her on the back and she felt her sands slip away from the rod.
"Ahhh!!" but before she could move more than an inch, she felt strong hands grip her arms and pull her up in no time.
"Gotcha!" Arnav exclaimed as he brought Khushi up finally. As soon as Khushi stepped on the ground, Arnav took her in a bone-crushing hug and laid kisses all over her faces.
"You okay?!" Arnav asked to which Khushi just nodded, still in shock of what just happened. Soon, everyone else joined in the hug and made it a group hug. They all clutched eachother tight, after all, it was eachother they could count on and trust in situations like this and with team work they didn't look so hard. These people had become good friends over a day only.
"Wait!! Where is Kate?!" They all looked towards the bed to see it empty. Widening their eyes, all five ran out of the room and in the corridor, one behind the other, the couples clutching their partner's hand with NK in the middle. (The corridor gave an over view of the living room area) They all stopped dead in their tracks as they saw Kate stepping off the last stair and walk towards the living room.
"Kate!! Wait!!" Shouted Malcom from the corridor.
"Kate!! Stop!! Please come back!!" Khushi shouted from the top, watching her with worried eyes.
"Stoop!!!" NK tried as well.
"I'll get her!" Arnav said as he watched everyone stand there with worried and fearing faces.
"I'll come!" Malcom joined in to which Arnav just nodded. They both ran towards the end of the corridor but stopped as they heard Kate start screaming in an angry tone.
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO JAKE?!?! WHAT HAD HE DONE TO YOU?!?!?" Kate stood in middle of the living room.
"KATE!! DON'T!!" Arnav shouted as he saw the wall on Kate's right start to shake.
"WHY?!? WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?!?!" Kate continued, oblivious to her sorroundings or Arnav's warnings.
"HOW DARE YOU?!?! WHY?! Why?! why?!?" Kate broke down as she repeated her last words.
"I'M ASKING YOU SOMETHING!! WHY DID YO..." Kate's words were left incomplete as the glass frames that were hung on the wall flew off from the wall and went straight through her, slicing her.
"Ehh!!" Khushi and Jenna immediately turned their heads around, biting in their sob. Arnav, NK and Malcom had shut their eyes tight as well, not being able to witness something so hideous.

"I have a plan" Arnav started to narrate his plan as the five of them sat in a circle in the room.
"But that could be very risky" Malcom said as Arnav finished with his plan.
"I know but that's the only way out. If we can execute the plan properly then we might have a chance of excaping and plus, taking a risk is better cuz if we stay here, sooner or later, we're gonna die anyway"
