This is the most unexpected reason. I kept guessing all other possibilities from Sunday for the reason.
Kushi has a genuine reason knowing arnav she thought he will move on with hatredness
She didn't think of other options like adopting kids.
This story gives an insight of strugggle of illegitimate kids.
Society should not distinguish kids as they r not at fault
Even today out so called modern society distinguish them.
Same with orphans and kids of single parents.
Especially if the kid is a girl she has to face more.
You have also shown how difficult it will be without a mother for a teenage girl. Kushi didn't get emotional support at the age of 17 for her health reasons.
Mother indeed become our best friend during that time when the life of a girl changes.
