Virat's P.O.V.
I finally get to the office, and as usual no one is here, except for Rohan, my right hand man and Priya, my secretary. As I walk in, I have one question on my mind, "Priya, when is Manvi coming to the office? As her first day in office, she should be coming in early, to get used to the office and become aware of her duties."
Some people will just never change will they, they will never learn to grow up and take life seriously.
"Well sir, she actually...'"
"If you would care to look inside my office room, SIR, then you would see that I have been here since 7:00 am and have already read through the new project's details."
She states this in a defiant way, mocking me and my authority. Well, looks like old habits do die hard; it looks like someone needs to be taught a lesson on how to behave with your boss.
"Well, when you are done trying to undermine my authority, then come into my office in five minutes with the project file and a cup of black coffee, I'll be waiting. So, try not to be late."
She knocks at my door, as I am overlooking my schedule for the day, so I just nod for her to come in and when she hands me the coffee, I finally get a look at her. She has changed a lot, from the last time I met her, which is probably like 6 years ago; she looks more mature, and beautiful as ever. Wait; what the hell am I thinking, since when did Manvi Chaudhry ever look beautiful? I seriously need to drink some coffee to wake my mind up, and get rid of such stupid thoughts out of my head.
"If you are done checking me out, can we discuss what you have called me, instead of staring at me?"
Damn! Who does she think she is?
"No need to boost your ego, Ms. Chaudhry, I have no interest in checking out girls like you. There are thousands of girls, who would love to get the opportunity just to talk to me. Girls lay themselves at my feet, I have no interest in paying attention to middle-class girls like you."
That should shut her up.
"Well, you are saying as if I am clearly dying here to lay at your feet. Congratulations you have a fan club of mindless, idiotic girls after you. You can keep those mindless, dumb girls for yourself, as I have absolutely no interest to know who the next dumb girl is dying to be your next temporary door mat, for you to just use and throw out like a piece of paper. And if you have that much ego to not talk to a middle class girl like me you can hire another designer as I also have no intention of working with such an egotistic bas***d."
How dare she say that to me? Does she have any idea who exactly she is talking to? People don't dare to even breathe in my presence without my permission, and this girl here is showing me so much attitude and ego. She has no idea what I can do to her life; I can literally destroy her life within minutes.
"Well, if you really have such a problem working with me, you can quit. But, if I recall the contract you have signed, it clearly states that if you under any circumstance quit before a year, you will have to pay a fine of 5 lakhs. And I don't think a middle class girl like you has that much money? So, I suggest you shut your big mouth, and start repenting the day you crossed paths with me, because now that you have dared to use that big mouth of yours to insult Virat Vadhera, you will see a side of Virat Vadhera which you have never experienced before. In less than a month, you will be out of this office. I am going to make your life even worse than hell in this office; you are officially welcome to hell, Ms. Manvi Chaudhry."
"I might be a middle class girl Mr. Vadhera, but I don't feel ashamed at all of my status, as I don't care about it, it has no meaning to me in my life. In fact, I still have my morals and principles with me, which will help me, show you just how strong we middle-class girls truly are, and I am sure I can survive the entire year. As once I give my word, I don't back out, and I am not scared of you at all, in fact I pity you for such cheap thinking of yours. You can't do anything to me, throw all the hurdles and challenges at me you want, and I will take each one you throw in my way head-on and throw it right back in your disgusting, pathetic-looking face."
Did she just call me disgusting and pathetic looking? Women die just to see me, and men get jealous looking at my status, fame and money. I am just waiting to see what will happen the day, Manvi will come to me completely broken and when she surrenders to me. You have no idea what you're up against Manvi Chaudhry, you better prepare yourself for hell, because when I'm playing, I don't play fair and neither do I ever lose. Just wait and see what will happen to you. As I walk closer to her, she gets worried, but doesn't show it, and stays put in one place. Looks like little Miss. Manvi Chaudhry, is going to be putting up a tough fight.
"Okay as you say, but in the end, we all know who will end up winning! You're fighting up against me, Ms. Manvi Chaudhry; you have no idea what you're up against".
As I am getting closer she's beginning to get more and more nervous, but she still stands firm in her place.
"By the way, since you like to talk big, let's see if you can actually stand up to your words. I want you to kiss me right now, this second."
"WHAT!?! Are you out of your freaking mind? What makes you think I will even want to touch you, forget about kissing you? You truly are the most sick of men I have ever met. You disgust me Vadhera! You truly have lived up to your true image."
"Whoa, there Manvi darling, slow your train down a bit. All I asked for was a small little peck, and you jumped up to wanting to touch me, but I won't mind, you can touch me, if you would like. Just for you baby!"
Let's see you do this now; I know you would never do this. Because even if you do kiss me, still a win-win situation for me as you will still have to bend to my will, and kiss me!
"Manvi this is just a way too easy victory for me!"
As I wait and continue to smirk at her, she actually starts to move closer to me, which shocked me!
"Fine, you want a kiss, I'll give you a kiss that you will remember your entire life!"
She is going to kiss me, now what happened to her morals and principles? As she starts moving closer to me, a knock on the door, disturbs her, which froze her actions mid-way and she moves back.
Damn! Who is at the door now? As the door opens, Rohan comes in telling me that the meeting for the final decision of the theme for the upcoming fashion show in 2 months, is starting and my presence is required there. I look at Manvi and she seems relieved of Rohan's interruption, but I am not going to let her feel relieved this easily. As he leaves, Manvi also begins to leave, but now who told her to leave?
"Miss. Manvi Chaudhry, stop right there. First, no one told you to leave yet and second, remember that this is not over, as Virat Vadhera always gets what he wants, and I will also get this too. You might have gotten saved this time, but not every time, if you don't kiss me before the day ends, you will automatically lose, and you can bring in your resignation letter and check for 5 lakhs tomorrow morning at my desk. Back with the attitude are we, let's see if you are still want to stay here after what I do to you in the board room. After all, no one gets away from challenging Virat Vadhera.
"Okay, since you're so eager to get to the meeting, let's go, grab a notepad, and pen."
As we enter the room, all the office staff stands up and greets me. This will show Manvi just who exactly she is dealing with. She is not scared of me, yeah sure, all these other staff members who don't dare to even breathe in my presence, and she thinks she can say whatever she wants to me and actually get away with it. She seems to be unaffected by their actions, and just rolls her eyes, probably mumbling some stupid thing to her god about how dumb these people are to treat me to be scared of me or to get them some help.
"As you all know, the reason that you all have been called here is for the final theme decision on the upcoming fashion show in 2 months. We need something fresh, new that will further promote our company and expand us. Last year's show was a hit, as we targeted the modern era of clothing, for party, casual, and office wear. This year I want something completely different. So, tell me your thoughts and what you all have been thinking."
(Random staff member speaks)- "Sir, how about this year we try a completely different theme, like a seasonal theme this year. Since the show is in the fall, we can have a fall/winter based collection. Using the warm and cold colors against each other will create a bright contrast."
As the board members were talking, Manvi was taking notes and paying very close attention to what each person was saying. As I move my leg to touch her foot, she immediately revolts back and looks at me with anger. She tried to move her chair further away from me, but I caught her hand underneath the desk and wouldn't let go. The expression on her face was a total Kodak moment. Her face was a dark shade of red, due to anger and she looked like she would kill me, if she got the chance. She was trying to take her hand out of my grasp, but I am not about to let this opportunity go. She stomps on my foot with her heels and as soon as I let go, she moves her chair as back as possible.
She whispers to me, "Wipe that smirk off your face. You truly are a jackass! How dare you try to touch me? What the hell is wrong with you? Do you not have any respect for anyone? Before, I knew you were an egotistic jerk, but I thought there still might be some good to you, but no you had to prove that wrong every time I meet you. Don't you dare touch me again!"
I just ignore her, which makes her even angrier and I continue to pay attention to what the board members are saying.
(Another staff member speaks) -"Sir, how about instead we try a theme based on high couture from different aspects around the world, with different couture from Europe and Asia. It would be costly, but it will pay off as it would appeal to high profile clients that will be present at the fashion show." "Well, these ideas have been used already in the past, we need something completely different, and something we have never done before. Any other ideas?"
I look at Manvi and she raises her hand, and no one else has any other idea, so I had to choose her.
"Well, sir, I think these are ideas are good too, but I think we should have a fashion show based on our Indian traditions and past eras. The collection should be based on bridal wear. We should show the beauty of past Indian culture, and have a theme based around different shades of golden, maroon, emerald greens and incorporate patterns from past Indian history."
I hate to admit it but we have never done this before, and it will also be beneficial for the company as this new line would also be open to now more Indian clients and will also show our company's diversity and respect for Indian culture.Who would have known she also had some hidden talent in that little brain of hers? I look at all the other staff members and board people, and they seem to be quite impressed by the idea, too.
"We have never done anything traditional before, but your idea seems new and different from what we have done in the past, Ms. Chaudhry. Before I give my final consent, does anyone else have anything else to say?"
No one says anything.
"Well, then it's final, the theme of the fashion show will be traditional, and since this show is very important to our company, I will be dividing you into groups. Priya, Sam, Karan will be looking over the models, Amna and Josh will be looking over the budget, and Abhay, Jack, and Sana will be overlooking all the stage preparations & clients. Rohan, Manvi, and Maya will be working with me for the designs of the collection. Now, I would like you all to go and begin working. I want absolutely no mistakes and concentration on work. Manvi, Rohan, and Maya, in my office in 5 minutes! Meeting adjourned."
As I get up and leave, I see all the board members congratulating and praising Manvi for her idea. Someone sure does seem happy getting the spotlight, but I'll let her live her 5 minutes of fame, after all, after this, I will completely change her life forever, so that she will never dare to ever even blink in front me without my permission, nevertheless open her mouth. Let's see how she handles what I have in store for her future. Welcome to hell, Manvi Chaudhry.
