PART 10

Kashish's jaw dropped open....Wait no, its not Angad's story- nobody knew what happened to his wife...Until now- now she knew...

Kashish got curious and began reading the article. There wasn't much information. All it said was that the girl's house had burned down after her long time boyfriend had left her and gotten married to someone else. It was ruled a suicide. Whether the girl lived or died wasn't there and who the girl was wasn't included either.

So this wasn't about Angad's wife for sure. But who then?? There must have been some reason the paper opened up to this page. Kashish stared at it blindly....She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. Before she knew it she had fallen asleep.

6 HOURS LATER....

Angad tried to shield his eyes from the light, but his hands felt frozen. He opened his eyes to the brightness of Kashish's apartment. It was already 8:30 AM. Angad felt the wetness of the sheets....(No he didnt pee😉😆) His clothes were still wet from the rain and had soaked the mattress. Angad groaned and rolled out of the bed. Looking around he didn't see Kashish anywhere.....

Suddenly the bathroom door flew open and Kashish came out in her bath robe....Angad looked at her and his mouth opened up but nothing came out. Kashish didnt understand why he was so shocked. She got embarrassed and turned to go into her room. Angad jumped over the bed and across the room in a second. He pulled the robe and Kashish fell back into his arms. He stuck his face against her back and ran his hand across the robe. "ANGAD!!!!!!!!!! What are you doing!?!?" Kashish yelled and tried to escape from his arms....

"WHERE DID YOU GET THIS ROBE???" Angad said in a voice that was angry yet broken. Kashish got bitter and replied furiously, "From the hospital when I finally came home 6 months ago!! I shouldnt have answered that but I did. You have no right to ask and no right to come near me like that. GET OUT!!!"

Angad turned to hide his tears..."That was my wife's robe...." Angad said softly. His voice cracked as he banged his hand against a chair and screamed again, "That is my wife's robe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Kashish looked at him in amazement and was more confused than ever. "Impossible...I got this at the hospital. They had been using it on me all those months they were taking care of me and trying to make me regain my memory. They said I could take it home once I left permanently. Its the standard robe that they give everyone. All the patients there get robes. Angad you have lost your mind and are trying to excuse your disgusting behavior. I said get out!!!!!!!!!!"

Angad looked back at Kashish one last time and stamped out of the apartment. He slammed the door behind him and ran out of the building. Kashish started crying as soon as she was sure he was gone....Why...I thought he was my friend? Now he makes up this crap and tries to touch me...Oh God..will I always be lost and lonely??....

Kashish went into her room and changed into her clothes. She walked back into the bathroom to put away the robe and wash the tears off of her face. As Kashish reached up to place the robe on the hook she saw the tag on it...same tag as always she thought but something was written on it...Kashish carefully flattened the tag and moved next to the window....In faded ink she made out the letters "M.K."

"I never saw this before...What is M.K.? Its not from the hospital. It cant be....Angad cant be telling the truth. If its true why one earth would the hospital give me the robe of a dead woman??" Kashish wondered.

Quickly she grabbed her coat and put on her shoes. Stuffing the robe into a bag she ran out the door and began walking at a fast pace....

30 MINUTES LATER...

Knock Knock..."Angad are you in there?? Please open the door!" Kashish begged. She had gone straight to his apartment. Kashish reached up to bang on the door again when it swung open.

"What do you want?? What more can you do to me?? How much more can you misunderstand me?!!!!!!!" Angad demanded.

"I dont want anything from you but an answer. What was your wife's name?" Kashish asked in a straight voice as she looked into Angad's eyes.

"Mahek Khana," Angad replied.

What does MK stand for?? Mahek's initials?? Why does Kashish have the robe? What will Kashish do now? How will Angad respond to this? And what you think is happening might NOT be what is really happening....😉

PART 11

*New characters- Dr. Ejaz Khan played by Ejaz Khan. And Angad's friend is Ruby played by my friend Ruby!

KKashish dropped the bag with the robe in it and stared at Angad. "Mahek Khana?? M.K? OMGGGGGGGGGGGG" Kashish said. The world spun around her....What is going on here!!!!! God its his wife's robe!! I have it...Why? What does this mean?

Angad looked at her in anger but suddenly his face became worried as he watched Kashish's eyelids come down....Everything was in slow motion as he saw Kashish's knees buckle and she slowly slid to the floor. Just as her head was about to hit the ground Angad ran over and caught her in his arms. "Oh God.......!" Angad yelled and ran out the door carrying Kashish.

1 HOUR LATER

Kashish's eyelashes fluttered open...She was blinded by whiteness. "Kashish!! Are you ok?? You have been unconscience for 1 hour!" Angad said. He came over to the bed...Kashish looked around and saw that she was in the hospital..."Nooo...not here...please...where is the robe? Angad....Mahek...M.K...Angad the robe..." Kashish kept trying to talk but could barely breathe....

Angad ran out and called for the nurse. The doctor and nurse came in. "We need to put her back to sleep," the doctor stated. Kashish took one look at the frowning doctor and nurse and went hysterical "Nooooooooooooooo....the robe!!!!! I want the robe! Nooooooo go away!!"

Angad was shocked but before he could say anything the doctor gave Kashish a shot...He and the nurse exchanged worried glances and headed out the door. Angad was silent with worry. He couldnt do anything now. He would have to wait until Kashish woke up again which wouldnt be for another 5 or 6 hours.....What is she worried about? Why is she upset? The robe...it was in the bag she was carrying...Maybe I should go look at it...

ANGAD's APARTMENT

Angad rushed inside and picked up the bag. He turned it upside down and grabbed the robe as it slipped out. Angad unfolded it and ran his hands over the whole thing. He held it close to his face and tears soaked the sleeves. It smells just like her still....God....

Angad felt in the pockets but couldnt find anything. What could Kashish have been talking about....He looked inside the lining and found the tag. Looking over it he didnt see anything at first...but then he opened his curtains to let in light and stared at the tag....In black marker, the faded initials M.K. were visible! OMG this is what she saw!!! Is she? It cant be...She is Mahek........no she just got the robe somewhere. But where? Why wouldnt they tell me Mahek is still alive...I am so confused! What is going on...Please help me God!!!!!

Angad cried his heart out but stopped himself...No this was a time for action- a time to find answers. He needed to know who Kashish was and why she had this robe. Angad brushed away his tears with his hand and ran out the apartment.

BACK AT THE HOSPITAL

"Ma'am- may I have a robe? I need one for my friend...." Angad asked the nurse sitting out front. "Of course sir- here you go."

"Is this the standard robe you give every patient?" Angad asked. "Ummm Yes sir. Its the same robe we have had since this hospital opened. We give all of our long-term patients robes and a set of clothing."

Angad thanked her and walk to the bathroom. He opened up the plastic packaging and started at the robe...It looked just like Mahek's robe. Same coloring and style. But there was one difference besides the fact that Mahek's was more expensive and better quality!😆 The tag was in a different spot and not the same style. Mahek's tag was on the side of the robe while the hospital robe's tag was on the collar! So the hospital had not given this robe to Kashish! They had taken it from Mahek! But why???

Angad's mind was spinning...After so many years a missing robe is the key to so many questions and answers....Why does Kashish have this robe? Is she even Kashish? Is Mahek alive?

Angad ran towards Kashish's room....

INSIDE THE ROOM

The doctor and nurse were staring worriedly at Kashish...."Dr. Ejaz?? What will we do? If Angad suspects something what will happen." The Nurse asked. "No we dont have to worry. The most he can do is ask for a DNA test to see who Kashish is. He must think she is Mahek. Once he finds out she isnt then it will be ok. He will just think she is a look alike....." Dr. Ejaz Khan replied.

Just then Angad came in. "I WANT TO KNOW THE TRUTH! What is going on here? Who is she?" Angad demanded. Kashish's mind swept her in and out of dreams filled with fury and fire....she was unaware of all that was going on. But the Nurse and Dr. Ejaz were fully aware of what might happen because of what they did 3 years ago. Angad repeated himself, "Tell me."

Who is Kashish?? The doctor said she is not Mahek- then who? Will Kashish wake up soon? What will Angad find out? Will Angad ask for a DNA test? Coming soonnnnn.....
