Just found this story and its really awesome
i love reading a redemption track

glad Khushi has sorted her life out (in some way)
but Arnav still affects her till this day

Arnav in earlier updates seemed a bit indenial of all the wrongdoings he put Khushi through and barked at Anjali and Akaash for withholding Khushi's whereabouts from him like he had every right to know..the way they married and his behaviour towards her ensured no rights to him

Deeya is an awesome friend sticking up for Khushi, making sure she doesn't fall on the wrong path and jumping into his car so Khushi is not alone with him

Akaash - im proud of him, even though his wedding is in danger and he is not happy he has not told Khushi about it as he doesn't want to in anyway blackmail her into coming back just for him and her JiJi..really loved the answers he gave to Arnav on the phone, Arnav needs reminding of his harsh reality and past, what he subjected Khushi too and even now in the latest update he still used an endearing comment, something that opens her old wounds..he is truly selfish

Thanks for replying. You are one of those rare authors who are dedicating time and effort to reply to each and every comment. Its very unusual, really appreciate it.

Unusual? Yea, maybe😆 you know there was a time when this was the norm on this forum, i'm probably being old school here. But since I find it unfair to answer to some while leaving out others, i tend to go either way - either its no response at all or reply to everyone. i must confess though, its getting tougher this because of the sheer number of replies. this and sending PMs for updates def. takes up a lot of time.

This has to be the best redemption story and the way you going into depth of emotions, it evokes same emotions in me. Absolutely loving your writing.👏

Oh! How I wish I was on this story from the start and could share my thoughts on each and every chapter but I will try to do my best and share my thoughts overall. I caught up on all the chapters.

One of my favorites in this story is the emphasis and focus on Akash and Payal.

To me theirs was a parallel lover story, subdued, subtle and quiet one. I absolutely loved these two characters for their calm, composed and mature demeanor. They were the balancing factors in Arnav and Khushis life, every time Arnav and Khushi went overboard with anything Akash and Payal pulled them or said the right thing. Of course Akash never went against Arnav but he had his way of letting him know whats right. Payal was so protective about Khushi, as demure as she was when it came to her baby sister she bashed ASR too. Arnav and Khushi might have helped them in getting married but they were adult enough to make decisions and know what they want in life. But how conveniently CVs forgot these two important characters and made them mere props post marriage.

Forced contract marriage, all the pain and humiliation Arnav put Khushi through, torture of Shyams presence, reasons behind contract marriage and accusations everything was conveniently forgot.

So its really good to see an extension of the original Payal and Akash in your story, I am so proud of Payal and Akash, Payal is standing up for her sister and whats right and Akash for being there for Khushi and trying to do the right thing and glad they have taken control of their lives

@bold ,yes. he did put her in harm's way as well as saved her from futher harm. its a skewed one this but they deffo didnt explore this side too well.

Payal was just as imp. for the hate marriage as was Anj. but this was di ki saut or something so they made her invisible. bad idea, cause like you said, aakash and payal could have added a lot more to the show. when you think abt it, ipk was unique in the sense that they had a good cast that seemed to gel well together as well, very rare. so whoever cast these folks, has to be given due credit, that person got the casting right.

Akash was always said the words that Arnav couldnt say or denied. He is good with showing mirror to Arnav without being condescending. Arnav is missing Khushi, his life is hell, he wants to find her and get her back in his life, fine and all. But even before that he needs to hear loud and clear his own misdeeds. So, kudos to Akash for doing that. This was much needed, because Arnav is a person of denial, he denied that Khushi affected him, he denied that he was attracted to her, he denied that he was in love with her, he denied that he was hurting her, he denied all the signs that said Khushi is innocent, he denied all pleas by Khushi to prove her innocence. There were always conflicts and tug of wars between his heart and ego.

Arnav was always in denial right through the first six months. that denial makes him someone he absolutely hates cause he ends up hurting khushi a lot driven by that denial. this is one aspect, in this ff too. denial. and it makes a sane man mad!

Today Arnav is questioning Akash why he did what he did and why he lied and he has no right because 3 years back he made decisions for them, used them as pawns and changed their destiny.

exactly. it was his decision that started everything, only fair that someone dealt him the same blow.

Arnav is so possessive about Khushi and never misses a chance to say my wife and this is probably the biggest drivers behind the contract marriage. Irony he considers her his wife but there is not even a single gesture that accentuates that statement. He didnt give her a single right of a wife. He couldnt stop loving her but couldnt help hate her so used her to displace his anger and frustration.

khushi leaving him, he had not seen that coming so when it happened, i'd like to believe he lived in that denial more, she left him cause he was correct. that was the only way he could keep himself sane and yet not really.

Khushi being Khushi took it all, to secure her sisters marriage and life, because she loved this man with heart and soul, because she cared for people around her, but how long? End of the day she is human, she has pride, she has individuality and despite all the love she has for Arnav there is only so much humiliation and accusations you can take. When somebody says you have no character it changes lot of things. I am glad that this Khushi gathered her life and pride and walked out of Arnavs life to stand up for herself. I always liked Khushi for standing up to ASR, not thinking twice before walking all over his ego and telling straight on his face when he was wrong. It was important for Khushi to walk for own good as well as for Arnav to realize what Khushi meant for him and how much she affected his life, he had taken her for granted.

it hasn't been easy for khushi. but she's fighting with all shez got. both love eachother but have hurt the other ... so much that they don't know how to overcome that pain.

I am glad that Khushi is exploring the real world and making little space for her, not compromising on her values, ethics or Morales and aptly putting to use all the lessons life and Arnavs taunts taught her.

she is trying. but i'm tempted to make her give into some temptations...real world can be nasty. i cant see how she cud remain herself after having experienced some of what she has, it makes you cynical. and some of that has to show in her too. at the same time, i'm wary of overdoing it cause, i dont want her to lose that which makes her who she is...

Their reactions when finally they meet were natural just like all the other times. They are so tuned to each others presence and they have eyes only for each other, their love and emotions is palpable and so are all the nightmares of contract marriage Khushi lived through.

love...

I want to shout in glee every time Khushi is giving Arnav taste of his own medicine. With all that he has put her through Khushi is a batter soul, she doesnt have it in her to take anymore of Arnav, she needs to protect herself and not get hurt again and this is what is probably giving her all the strength to fight Arnav and push him away. No she will not run away this time, but will she be able to see the man of her life crumble in front of her?

lol😆 @bold she may not be as strong or indifferent as she thinks she is. but then again, to reconcile both will have to walk a few paces forward...

Arnav knows what he wants, he wants his happiness, his Khushi back in his life but doesnt know where to start, how to start. Bottom line he knows he needs to apologize to Khushi but also knows very well that a mere apology cannot make up for what he did to her. Will this fallen man rise and make himself worthy of an apology and Khushi?

you would think so...esp. now that he sees all sorts of crazy men invading his realm. after all, if nothing, a man is very possessive about his woman. this is arnav.

I know Arnav is in pain and I feel for him. Everybody around him worked deliberately to keep Khushi away from him. He probably feels betrayed and he is alone too but then this man fought all his battles alone and this is one battle his needs to fight all by himself.

may be it was only fair that things came around this way...but at some level i agree with you. this was a troubled man to begin with, never really healed from his own past...you can't expect him to react the same way a normal guy would!

In the last chapter I felt like Arnav and Khushi have switched places " Khushi was all ASR and Arnav was all Khushi staring at her shocked.

yes, to some extent. but he's still taking it in. he will be back, the man.😉

Its a matter of time before they become better versions of themselves.

which they can only in the presence of the other. such an irony!

I know the comment is not structure or in order I just went on typing whatever was floating in my head with respect to this story. I will be more focus next time and will do better, I promise. 😳

Thanks a lot. Man, i feel like i just responded to ten comments in one😆

Well, this is Khushi, who let him have his way with her right from the start, there is no way she can completely distance himself from him.

Arnav was in denial but the 300 that khushi sent was like a trigger along with the divorce papers...kind of set things in motion.

@bold, come to think of it, their marriage in the show was always dubious in terms of its validity. he owes her big time. lucky that she loves him.

Deeya has learnt from her own experience and doesn't want khushi to make the same mistakes she did. that and she is a genuinely good friend.

Arnav has a lot of catching up to do as well as learning. lets see how that goes.

Thanks a lot and welcome to the thread ayasha :)

superb part dear...

sorry for late replies...

this is certainly a new khushi...and there is nothing like tht khushi in this girl who's thoughts has tormented the ASR's day & night for years...her changed attitude without the old helplessness tht is digging hole in arnav's heart and mind tht is already sore with guilt...arnav has never known this khushi and realisation dawning tht its fully his doing tht has changed khushi in this girl has shaken his mind...and he can't even utter a single words in front of her...

and the same goes with khushi...she has never thought tht she will see arnav taking time to speak...seeing him..she was mentally ready to be dragged, pulled etc...but nothing like tht sort happened...
i really feel bad for both of them...both facing pain in love...
thnks for the PM dear...
it was awesome part...
well written...
