Chapter 3

He got in is car and fastened his seatbelt. Taking a few deep breaths and murmuring an inaudible prayer, he kick started the car.

The starting was smooth and now he started gaining speed.

It was increasing dangerously but he didn't stop. He tried to lower the speed but it wasn't in his control. The memories kept flashing in front of him disturbing his focus. His head hurts now and he could feel his hands going weak.

People at the stands were now getting worried; they tried calling him which was obviously useless. A guy came running out and quickly jumped over the railings and stood in front of the main fence, others followed.

"Reyaansh stop the bloody car right now" the guy shouted.

He knew well if this time it got out of control, the car may collide with the fence and he shuddered to even think about the rest.

He heard a screeching sound as the car turned sideways; everyone was perplexed now.

Another swift 360 degree turn, nobody moved.

Open wide eyes and gasps. This was a nightmare, coming true.

Another turn and the car moved towards the perfectly cut grass in the middle of the stadium, everyone breathed.

Reyaansh didn't move, his body a little shaken up with the whole incident and his lungs catching up with small breathes. He could hear the boys coming towards him but he made no efforts instead he closed his eyes.

This was the 6^th time this had happened and now he had actually started to doubt himself.

She walked in her father's cabin without knocking, shamelessly. She waited for the employees to get the cue and get out, they finally did. She moved and sat on one of the chair in front of his desk and banged the files on the table with a dramatic effect.

"Why am I here Dad?. I don't get it, you called me all the way from India saying there's a project and here I am doing stupid paper works and insignificant meeting from past 2 weeks!. What's the matter?" Sharon said in one go, her frustration ceasing a little.

"Sharon I told you there's a project and I'm not lying. I was just waiting for you to come here" her Dad began explaining.

She didn't interrupt just raised an eyebrow "Seriously father?"

"See Sharon I know how much you love your work. But its time for you to explore, don't get me wrong you have always done something new, innovative and brought this business to new heights. What I mean is do something different!. Not what the company is already doing.

"What do you exactly mean?. Starting a new branch?"

"Nope Sharon. What I mean is do something that's new to you as well as the company. Start a different business not like a separated one. I'm not throwing you out" he laughed "the company will fund but just something different".

"Okay" she paused uncertain how to react "When do I start?".

"From now" he said looking at her "I know you will come up with something amazing".

"Now don't cry dad, this way too dramatic"

"I know just to annoy" he chuckled. "Now get out of my cabin, I have some of my favorites Board Members coming in"

She laughed at his remark, she knew he hated them and their unnecessary drama but she also knew she needed to get out of his cabin; he hated interruption in his work just like her.

"Okay Sir" and with that she left his cabin.

She entered her cabin and sat on her chair thinking about her new project.

He sat their uncomfortably flipping through the file again. In the first page it had a huge company logo and its name and inside was his joining letter. It was his own company well technically his father's but Vikramjeet Kalsi still couldn't decide whether he was interested or not.

It's not like his grades where too bad to get him a reputed company but it won't be as high as his own. On the other hand he was least interested to work with his 'control freak' father. He was in a dilemma and couldn't decide what to do. Pacing from one end of the room to the other, that's all he had been doing from last 2 hours.

He threw the file on the bed with frustration.

"We will see what happens, how bad this could actually be?" he wondered and with that he opened his cupboards. He was going to Las Vegas.

She heard a knock on the door and without even her reply, she saw Meha barge in the cabin so unlike herself.

"Sharon you have a call"

"Meha you know I'm busy and I am in no mood to entertain anyone right now" Sharon said diverting her attention to the files on her desk.

"I think you really want to take this Sharon"

"Whose it?"

"Reyaansh"
