They sat there.. Janki in white.. Suyash in his Black Blazer.. Janki was cold as the evening dawned.. She slowly took her feet up from the cold waters.. Suyash watched her beautiful soft feet.. Silver anklets// Wet.. She place her soft feet on the lush grass and her pleats covered her feet..

He smiled.. As the cold wind blew by.. Stretched his hand and placed it by the sides.. He accidentally touched her hand.. They looked at each other.. A sense of security yet awkwardness filed them..

Janki would have killed him if this had happened before.. But now she didn't know what to do.. She awkwardly.. Moved her palms away a little.. Suyash took his hands away.. And got up..

Suyash: I am sorry.. He said and looked away..

Janki: Got up and stood quietly watched the dark sky.. The moon hiding behind the clouds.. She thought of what she could do.. Everything was in Rajeshwari Mehra's name..

She looked at the moon with a smile.. Somehow.. It did not worry her anymore.. She held her hands together.. Close to her.. As the chilly breezes brushed her skin..

Suyash looked at her.. The moon light lit her face with divinity.. Her kohled eyes twinkled in the darkness.. He soft lips curved into a smile.. He noticed she was cold.. He ruffled his hair.. Smirking.. At how beautiful she was.. Even today..

He took his blazer off and put it on her.. She looked at him.. His eyes.. Was filled with warmth.. His hands on her shoulder correcting the blazer.. His warm blazer.. The fragrance of his musk.. She couldn't help but go breathless at their proximity.. She drowned herself in his warmth.. They walked side by side.. He put his hands in his pocket.. As much as he wanted to put his hands around her shoulder and give her all the warmth and love she deserves.. He refrained..

They walked towards the road.. Narayini ji had sent a car for them.. He opened the door of the back seat for her.. She slid in.. Just before he closed the door..

Driver: Saab.. Aap ko bhi peeche baitna hoga.. Yaha kuch samaan rakhwaadi hai memsaab ne..

She slid further giving him space to get in.. They smiled at each other.. Suyash slipped in.. The car was warm.. So was his blazer.. Janki looked outside the window.. Smiling to herself..

She looked at Suyash.. Who seemed exhausted.. He smiled to her and shut his eyes.. Resting his head back.. He seemed to immeadiately doze off.. Janki smiled nodding negative.. She looked outside.. Enjoying the green..

He moved closer to her.. She looked at him.. He innocently rest his head on her shoulder in his sleep.. She was still.. She didn't know what to do.. She definitely did not want to disturb him.. No one had come so close to her in ages..

She wondered as to what to do next.. She had to get the Agarwal house back..What would she tell him.. She had hated him all the while.. How would she apologize.. In her heart she knew he wouldn't want an apology..

She sighed.. Closing her eyes.. She leaned back.. Resting her head.. And drifting off to sleep..

The car entered the gates of Narayini Devi's huge manshion.. Suyash wakes up and looks at his watch.. It was still about seven in the evening.. Janki looked at him.. Both of them had a lot to do.. Lot to fix..

They got off.. And walked in.. The atmosphere was tense.. With Kamal all confused.. And Narayini ji was lost in her thoughts.. Both of them turned to Suyash and Janki.. They walked in looking down.. With a smile on their face.. Nothing said.. Kamal looked at his bhabi.. For the first time in a long time.. She looked content and happy..

Narayini cleared her throat.. janki looked at her.. Narayini and Kamal looked at eachother..

Narayini thought.. In dono ko ek karna ab meri kaam hai.. Kamal seemed to agree..
There was a sudden rage in the house..

Ashu: Parvathi mumma.. Rukhiye..

He seemed angry.. He walked with his hand at the back..

Suyash: Lekin Ashu..

Ashu interrupted.. Nahi papa.. Andar math aana..

Suyash looked at Parvathi.. Both of them were puzzled with Ashu's behavior..

Ashu brought his hands forward.. He had a thaali with a diya.. He bowed and touched their feet.. Mumma papa.. Aap dono aaj saath mein aashirwaad dijiye.. Both of them smiled.. They were proud of him..

He took their blessing and did an arthi.. Narayini watched with a smile.. They walked in.. They quietly went to their respective rooms and freshened up.. They had to go back to Agarwal House.. Prepared.. There was a party.. One of the base less parties.. Rajeshwari always hosted..

Suyash wore Aramani.. He looked absolutely stunning.. In the jet back suit.. And those glasses.. His looks could kill.. He had never touched the Aramani for very long.. He hadn't noticed.. But yes.. He had worn it for her.. His mind dismissed any thought.. but his heart knew.. That he took extra care to look nice.. Just for her..

He smiled to himself in the mirror.. Nodding in negative.. And walked out.. As he stepped out.. He saw her descending the stairs.. She had worn a beautiful emerald saree.. Her long straight hair.. left free.. Her beautifully kohled eyes twinkled as she looked at him.. And looked down.. Her soft lips.. Curved into a nervous smile..

Narayini smiled.. Kamal smirked.. At them.. He slightly tapped Suyash's shoulder..

Suyash looked at him.. All dignified.. Supressing his smile..

Kamal : Mr. Mehra.. Aapko nahi lagtha bhabi aaj bohoth khoobsoorath lagrahe hai..?

Suyash gave a slight smile.. Ji.. Jaanki looked at him.. Her eyes dignified.. He refrained from saying anything more.. They both knew that there was nothing between them.. Na kal kuch tha.. na aaj kuch hai.. Na kal kuch.. Suyash's thoughts were interrupted by Narayini..

Suyash Parvathi.. Tum dono ab jab Agarwal house jaaoge.. Toh tum Suyash Mehra aur Parvathi Agarwal banke nahi.. Balki Suyash Mehra.. Aur.. Janki Devi Mera ban kar jaaoge..

Both of them stood shocked.. After all that had happened.. They had hardly digested the events of the day and now..

Janki: Maa aap yeh kya keherahi hai..? She was put off guard.. She was a married woman.. married to her Om.. How could she even think..

Narayini interrupted her thoughts.. Janki.. Aur koi chaara bhi tho nahi hai..Saari properties pe Mrs. SUYAH MEHRA ka haq hai.. Aur humaare accounts tho seized hai..

Kamal: Aur bhabi.. Isme bura hi kya hai.. Om bhaiyya ko kya aitraaz hogi..? Jis parivaar ko unhone aapko saumpdiya tha.. Aap ussi parivaar keliye hi toh karrahe..

Suyash: par Narayini ji.. Yeh tik nahi hai.. Itna bada kadam.. Parvathi ji ke gharwaale kya sochenge..?

Janki looks at him.. Both of them look away in awkwardness.. They see Ashu coming and stop..

Ashu walks to Janki: Mumma Aapne zindagi bhar aapke parivaar keliye sab kuch karthe aaye hai.. Aur Papa.. he looks at Suyash.. unhone zindagi bhar joh bhi kiya hai.. Who aapkeliye kiya hai.. Mumma mein aapse request kartha hu.. Iss rishthe ko ek mauka tho dijiye.. Saare uljane sulaj jaayenge..

Narayini: Parvathi apne parivaar keliye tumhe yeh karna hoga.. Suyash ne aaj thak joh bhi kiya hai.. Uski ehsaan ko chukaana tumhaara karam hai..

Suyash: Narayini ji yeh aap kaise baatein karrahe..

Narayini: Bas Suyash.. Tum dil ke bohoth bade ho.. Par Yeh Mahabharath mein rachingi.. Aur Jaanki meri baath zaroor manegi..

She looks at Janki.. Who has nothing to say.. She was indebted.. And she had to save her family..Narayini.. Aur haan.. Yeh shaadi bohoth pehele hochuki hai.. Rajeshwari iss shaadi ko jab thak nahi maanegi jab thak yeh shaadi shaadi na lage..

Parvathi mein jaanthi hu ki tumhaareliye yeh bohoth muskil hai.. Par tumhe iss shaadi ko na maanthe hue bhi apnaana hoga..

Suyash and Janki look confused.. Matlab..?

Kamal: Ashu beta woh zara thaali lekar aao..

Ashutosh brings a thaali with Mangal Sutr and sindoor.. Janki stands rooted.. She fights for breath.. Suyash tries to walk away.. Narayini stops him..

Narayini: Suyash mujhe pata hai yeh tumhaareliye kitna mushkil hai.. Par yeh ek aur ehsaan kardo..

Suyash looks at Jaanki.. There is uncertainity and hesitance in both of them.. They had so much respect for eacother.. And to stand beside eachother as husband and wife.. They both turned away..

Ashu: mumma.. Papa.. They both turn to him.. Their eyes red with pain.. Mereliye.. He extends the thaali to Suyash..

Suyash shut his eyes.. There was so much hurt.. She would always be Om's Parvathi.. How..

His thoughts were interrupted by Narayini ji..

Suyash.. Meine pehele bhi kaha.. Tum Parvathi se nahi.. Janki se shaadi karrahe ho.. Ashu tapped his father's shoulder.. And signaled to the thaali.. Janki looked at him with tears..

Suyash: Parvathi ji.. Kya aapko manzoor hai.. ? He was concerned for her.. For him..

She gave a hesitant nod.. Ashu was all smiles.. Thanks mumma.. Shruthi walked in.. Suyash papa.. kya sochrahe hai..?

They all looked at her.. Papa.. Aapne mumma keliye itna kuch kiya hai.. Aur aapke wajah se mujhe Ashu jaisa pyaara bhai mila hai..

Narayini smiled through her tears.. At Shruthi..

Ashu: Shruthi di.. Mein mumma ka haath papa ke liye maangtha hu..

Shruthi goes and stand behind Jaanki.. And puts a red veil on top of her head..

Suyash picks up the mangal sutr..

Mangalam Bhagwaan Vishum..

He tied the mangal sutr.. Tears trickled down her eyes.. As she clenched her fist.. In hurt.. Everyone had tears of joy..

Mangalam Garudhadwajah..

She looked at Suyash.. He tried to reassure her.. With a slight smile..

Mangalam pundari kakshay..

The wind knocked the top of the sindoor.. Everyone took it as a sign of Om's permission.. Suyash took the sindoor.. And filled her maang.. She was his now..

Mangalaye tanohari..

They took Narayini's blessing.. They were too choked to say anything..

Narayini: Ab tum dono ko Agarwal house jaana hoga.. She comes to Janki and taked the ghoonghat off.. jao beta..

Janki hugs her.. And lets of a small tear.. They walk out..

There is so much pain.. They don't find themselves anymore.. They sat in the car.. Both of them gave empty smiles to each other.. They had nothing to say at what fate had bestowed upon them.. Suyash drove into the darkness of the streets..

Meanwhile..

In Narayini Devi's manshion..

Narayini: Kamal aur Shruthi.. Tum dono ko unse pehele pohunchna hai.. Parvathi ka grihapravesh ka zimmedaari tum dono ka hai.. Yeh shaadi toh halaathon ki wajah se hua hai.. par zindagi mein aage.. Yehi rishtha dono parivaaron ko jodke rakhega.. Ashu.. Tumhe kya karna hai.. yeh mein bataaungi..

Kamal and Shruthi quickly leave..

The cold winds of the night made them numb.. Suyash looked at Jaanki.. He gritted his teeth for hurting her..

She looked at him.. She choked on her breath.. She felt like her breath was taken away.. She knew this was difficult even for him.. She knew he was hurting.. His heart bled.. She silently hummed.. She looked down thinking of how much she had wronged him..

Tum ho ghum ko chupaaye..

He looked at her.. His eyes red..

Mein hu cir ko jhukaaye..

She looked away..

Tum bhi chup ho..
Mein bhi chup hu..
Kaun kise samjhaaye..

He gulped.. Yes.. She was right.. The pain was overwhelming..

Nazdeekhiya.. Itni hai kyu..

Jiska nishaan kal ho na ho..

She shut her eyes.. tears endlessly trickling down her cheeks..

He sighed.. Jis rishthe ko naam diya tha.. uss rishthe ki umr toh sirf kuch mahinon kit hi.. Lekin jitni geheri padaau pe iss rishthe ko leekar chalrahe the.. Dil thamgayi thi..

He humned consoling both their hearts..

Sach hai ke dil toh dukha hai..

She looked at him.. both of them trying to look alright..

Humne magar socha hai..

She looked down..

She smiled.. They giggled looking at each other.. Trying to lighten the awkwardness.. And reduce their pain..

Something didn't feel right.. Iss rishthe ko na samjautha ka naam desakthe the.. na maan sakthe the..

They stopped at the traffic light.. He looked at her.. Mangal sutr dangling down her neck.. Sindoor filled freshly in her maang..

He smiled..Thinking to himself.. Suhaagan ke roop mein aap aur bhi khoobsoorath lagthe hai Jaanki ji..

As if she had heard him.. She slowly touched her maang.. And smiled.. Her eyes twinkled with a sense of content.. She thought as she looked at him.. They smiled emptily.. Aaj meri maang mein aapki naam ki sindoor hai.. Aur iss rishthey se jude hue har rishthe ko nibhaaungi..
Haan naam ka hi sahi.. Lekin aapki ehsaano ke badle.. Yeh meri farz bhi hai..

Suyash: Parvathi ji.. Hum dono iss rishthe ki sacchai jaanthe hai..

Janki: Ji Mr. Mehra.. Humaare bohoth saari zimmedaariyaan hai.. Dono parivaaron ko sambhaalna hai.. Sahi raah pe chalna sikhaana hai..

Suyash smiled.. Now there was a mission to accomplish.. They were determined to correct all the wrongs.. And Rajeshwari had to be put in her place.. They knew that this wouldn.t be easy.. but it was the right thing..

They reached Agarwal house.. They were surprised to see the decorations.. They nodded in negative as they got out of the car.. And walked towards the door..Rajeswari smirked..

Rajeshwari thinking: Tum logon ne kya socha tha..? Yeh naatak kitne din chalthi hai.. Yeh tho mein zaroor dekhungi.. Then she looks at Parvathi wearing sindoor.. She is shocked.. Parvathi aur sindoor.. Tum itni badi naatak karogi yeh meine kabhi socha nahi tha.. Not bad Parvathi.. Not bad..

Suyash and Jaanki walk to the entrance.. They are shocked to see that the preparations for grihapravesh is ready.. And maaji is standing with the aarthi ke thaali in her hands..

Rajeshwari: Mr. aur MRS. Mehra.. Ab yeh ghar toh aaphi ka hai.. Grihapavesh kijiye.. Being as sarcastic as she could.. Meine SAARI arrangements kardi hai..

Janki looks at Suyash.. He reassures her.. The agarwals seem rather happy about her decision.. Janki looks at Shruthi who winks and smiles..

Maaji does aarthi and Janki lifts her pleats and knocks the kalash with rice.. She steps into a plate with kumkum water.. And places her footsteps into this house.. Suyash smiles as her beautiful feet leave their mark.. Adi smiles genuinely.. At Ashutosh.. Everybody congratulates them..

Rajeshwari: Reception keliye tayaar hojao Parvathi bohoth raath hochuki hai.. Ab..

Ashutosh interrupts.. Not wanting Rajeshwari to spew any disgust.. Mumma chaliye.. He takes her to the room.. As they climb the stairs.. Mumma.. Rajeshwari ne aapke karma bilkul apne kamre ke bagal sajaaya hai.. Thaaki who aap par nazar rakhsake..

Janki: Toh yeh baat hai.. Yeh tumne papa ko bataaya..?

Ashu smiles at her referring to Suyash as his papa.. He thinks.. Kahi na kahi mumma.. Aapne iss rishthe ko apnaana shru kiya hai.. He nods and points at Suyash and shruthi talking down.. And points at his room.. Mumma aap waha tayyar hojaayiye.. yaha Reception ke baad..

He looks away teasing her by ruffling his hair..

Suyash walked up the stairs..

Kamal grinned at Shruthi and Ashu.. Iss shaadi ko ehsaas aur vajood dena.. humaari zimmedaari hai.. Shruthi.. Rajeshwari ko ugsaau ki who Iss raath ko bohoth khaas.. They all giggle.. Suyash walks to Aashu's room and closes the door behind him.. He was ready.. He just had to probably.. Wash his face and relax.. After all that had happened.. He smiled.. He loved her so much.. He respected her even more.. He smiled at the thought.. Of someday telling her how he felt..

He turned around and walked to the dressing table.. He wiped his face with a wet tissue and put his glasses back on.. He heard the washroom door unlock.. he looked through the mirror.. Janki walked out wearing a beautiful dark blue saree.. She accidentally dropped her towel.. And bent to pick it up.. Her beautifully kohled eyes.. Mangal sutr dangling from her neck.. Her soft hands touching the white turkey towel.. He smiled.. She looked at him..

Janki: Aap yaha..? She walked calmly.. Lost in her thoughts.. He noticed that her sindoor had left it's trace even after a bath.. Her perfectly straight hair.. Swaying back.. As the wind blew by her face.. She looked down.. At his gaze..

Suyash heard the music play from the reception below.. Janki walked to his side.. Shy.. She picked up the sindoor.. Hesitantly took it and filled her maang.. She looked at him.. He smiled..

Chupaana bhi nahi aatha..
Jataana bhi nahi aatha..

He looked at her.. And then corrected his tie.. Chale..? There was a comfort yet awkwardness..
Humein tumse muhobat hai..

They walked down together to the party.. Rajeshwari smirked.. Itne door door kyu chalrahe hai..?

Suyash extended his hand to Janki.. She looked at Rajeshwari who was waiting to prove their marriage a fallacy.. She hesitantly put her hand in his.. Soft.. feathery smooth.. He smiled..As he drifted away with the song..

She felt his firm warm hands.. So protective.. She smiled.. Looking down.. She felt a strange sense of of rush in her.. Warmth.. She looked at him.. He smiled through his eyes..

The Mehras looked perplexed at this behavior.. The elders in the Agarwal house didn't understand the emotions.. It confused everyone..

Rajeshwari thought to herself as she saw them walk hand in hand.. Yeh kitne naatak karrahe.. Par Parvathi to hiss shaadi ko bilkul nahi maanegi.. Parvathi Agarwal.. Haath pakadne mein.. Aur Baahon mein hone mein bohot fark hai.. Dekhthi hu.. Kitni deir yeh naatak karpaaogi tum..Rajeshwari walked to the DJ.. And took the mike.. Saare couples ko dance karna chahiye.. Afterall.. Aaj shaadi aur Milan ki baath joh horahi hai..
Ashu signaled to Adi.. Who took the mike from her.. Haan.. Aur Mein iss khoobsoorath gaane pe Methili joh meri bohoth acchi dost hai.. Uske saath dance karna chahtha hu.. Everyone clap..

Suyash and Janki watch Adi and Maithili dace.. Shruthi Sameer.. Gonu Paarth.. Pranay Malishka all hit the dance floor and sway.. Rajeshwari looks the them and smirks.. Well..? She raises her eyebrows..

Suyash looks at Janki.. The hand that he held he places on his shoulder.. And shows his right hand to her.. She placed her left hand in his.. And closes her eyes..

He slowly places his left hand on the saree on her waist.. She looks down.. A tingling feeling of a man's touch turned her red.. She didn't know how to react.. The touch of his palm on her waist.. They swayed with the music.. Lights dimmed.. and their warmth embrazed their minds..

Muhobath kaise karthe hai..
Koi toh humko samjhaaye..

Rajeshwari walked around keeping her eyes fixed on them Suyash whispered.. Janki ji.. Smile.. She looked at his eyes.. She smiled.. He wondered if thetre would come a day when she would genuinely smile to him..

Kahi aisa na ho.. Ke pyaar..
Bin.. umr katjaaye..

He pulled her closer.. And naughtily twirled her around.. She giggled at his move.. She thought.. Naatak karna hi hai.. Toh.. Khushi se hi sahi.. She twirled away.. He smiled at how beautiful she looked.. Rajeshwari grew jealous.. She went and held Suyash.. Parvathi widened her eyes.. both Suyash and Janki felt awkward.. She stood quietly.. Smiling..

Tumse milne ka koi..
Bahaana bhi.. nahi aatha..

He looked at her and swung Rajeshwari away.. And walked to Jaanki and stood by her side..

He looked at her.. She smiled.. They smirked at eachother at how Rajeshwari was seemingly pissed off..People came and wished them.. There was awkwardness in the air.. But the smiled confidently.. Leaving an utterly confused Rajeshwari gaping..

Jataana bhi nahi aatha..

Janki looked lovely as she helped daadi and maaji back to their rooms.. As it was way past their bed time.. She made sure all the young children had retrieved back to their rooms.. Falling asleep.. She walked to Kamal..

Humein tumse muhobat hai..
Bataana bhi nahi aatha..

Shruthi walked to him and informed him about Rajeshwari's plans on keeping an eye on them.. He smiled and assured her.. Rajeshwari would never find out..

Shruthi hoped that.. This time.. The marriage would work.. For their good.. She knew and believed they were the ones who deserved as much love as the other had to offer..

Suyash walked to get a drink for himself looking down and wondering what Rajeshwari would have planned.. Chalthe chalthe Janki se takraagaye..

Janki looked at him moved back.. Suyash awkwardly apologized through his eyes..

Tumko dekha karthe hai..

Janki gave a smile and walked to Shruthi who talked and walked up..

He looked at them walk into THEIR room.. A smile appeared on his face.. He looked down.. Smiling to himself..

Kamal walked to him.. Mr. Mehra.. Bhabi aapki intezaar karrahe honge.. Suyash raised his eyebrows.. Kamal smiled and signaled towards Rajeshwari.. Suyash giggled.. And walked towards the stairs.. Kamal thought to himself.. Aankhein jhoot nahi bolthe Mr. Mehra.. Itna pyaar shayad Om bhaiya bhi nahi karthe the.. Aur.. Bhaabi ke akhon ne kuch tho ishaare kiye hai..

Suyash walked to their closed door.. Gunn Shruthi and Ashu blocked his way from entering.. Hayye.. itni bhi kya jaldi hai.. Suyash looked embarrassed.. Arre tum log..
