"Once upon a time, in a faraway land lived a King and Queen who had a beautiful daughter named 'Princess Taani'. Taani had an elder brother 'Prince Karan'. They lived a huge castle with towers and battlements bigger than any in the world. Taani was madly in love with a Prince of Amarland 'Reyansh'. The two Kings were the biggest enemies of each other and always fought for expanding their kingdoms.
Prince Reyansh and Princess Taani always met secretly and spent time together. They portrayed the true essence of love. Their love and respect for each other grew each passing day. They had become each other's life.
One day the King decides to find a Prince for his Princess Taani. He sent out his men to find a perfect Prince for her. She was hell shocked. She knew that she cannot live without her Prince Reyansh but the sad part was that she couldn't tell this to the King as this would have resulted into a war.
She called upon her Prince. Prince Reyansh was sure that he can't and won't lose his Princess just because of their age-old Kingdom war, so he came up with a plan. Princess Taani was scared after hearing his plan but she agreed to it as it would keep them together always.
One stormy night Prince Reyansh and Princess Taani met at their secret hiding place and ran away to some different part of the world. They escaped the cruelties of the two kingdoms and lived happily ever after"
She had tears in her eyes while reading it. It was the story of her life which he had written years back with a happy ending. She loved him from the time she met him. But the business rivalry of the two families came in between their love. 'The Singhanias' and 'The Shekhawats' were the biggest rivals. But their children Reyansh and Taani loved each other since school days. The two kids never spoke about each other in front of their parents as they feared that if anyone spoke they'll be sent away and this would separate them forever. Taani had become nostalgic after reading the story.
"and lived happily ever after." After reading the entire story he looked at her. She had tears in her eyes. "Kya hua Princess? Kahani pasand nahi aayi?" asked Rey lovingly to Taani. She nodded her head in a 'No' and said, "Rey kya ye sachme tumne likhi hai? Mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum itne atche writer ho" "Offo Taani! Itni mehnat karke yeh story likhi hai tumhare liye aur tum bata bhi nahi rahi ho pasand aayi ya nahi" saying this he got up and sat on the corner of the bench. "Prince Reyansh ki likhi hui kahani Princess Taani ko pasand na aaye aisa ho sakta hai kya?" she said cutely pouting at him. Taani looked like a little angel and Rey was lost in her. Shaking him out of his trance, Taani asked him, "Rey, kya hum bhi iss story ki end jaise kabhi ek ho payenge, tumhe kya lagta hai?" "Krishnaji pe bharosa rakho Taani. Unhone hamari friendship ko humesha kayam rakha hai aur vo hi hume humesha saath rakhenge." He smiled at her but suddenly his smile vanished. "Oh no Karan bhaiyya yahan par! Mujhe jaana chahiye isse pehle ki vo hume dekh le. Bye Taani. Kal school mein milte hai." "Bye Rey. Dhyaan se jaana." She came towards her bhaiyya and walked home with him.
"Kya din tha vo! Meine Rey se kaha tha mere liye ek pyaari si story likhne and usne likhi bhi par mujhe kabhi sapne mein bhi nahi laga tha ki vo story meri zindagi ki hakeekat ban jayegi. Papa ne meri shaadi kisi aur ke saath fix kardi hain. Par mein Rey se durr nahi reh sakti. Mujhe Rey ko yeh baat jald se jald batani chahiye!" She dials his number. *Tring* *Tring* "Good Morning Princess! Aaj sube sube meri yaad aa gayi?" "Rey hume bhagna hoga" She said this in a hurry, "Meine packing shuru kardi hai, tum bhi jaldi packing kar lo phir hum bhaag jayenge!" "TAANI" he screamed at the top of his voice to get her back to normal. "Taani tum kya bol rahi ho?" "Rey, papa ne meri shaadi fix kardi hai kisi Mr. Mehra ke bete ke saath aur mein usse shaadi nahi karna chahati. Isiliye keh rahi hun hum bhaag jaate hai." She was on the verge of crying, Rey sensed this. "Kya tumhari shaadi! Voh bhi uss champu se! Hahahaha!" This made Taani angry "Rey meri shaadi fix huyi hai aur tumhe Mazak sujh raha hai!" "Atcha buhba sorry. Shaadi sirf fix huyi hai na, hum koi na koi rasta nikal lenge" "Rey parso engagement and fir uske do din baad shaadi hai!" Rey got the shock of his life. He had never thought anything like this would ever happen. "Taani tension mat lo hum kuch karte hai. Mujhe tum abhi park mein milo. Milke kuch decide karte hai."
After 15 minutes in the park. Rey was waiting for Taani to come. He saw her coming towards him also saw that she was crying a lot. As soon as Taani saw Rey she came and hugged him tightly, "Rey hume bhaag ke shaadi kar leni chahiye aur kahi durr jake settle ho jana chahiye bilkul uss story ki tarah." "Story?" Realizing what she meant, "Taani stories mein yeh sab asaan lagta hai but actual mein bhaag jana is dangerous." "Rey tum sachme mujhse pyaar karte ho na?" she started crying badly. Rey knew that it wasn't his Taani who is asking such question but it's the Taani whose marriage has been fixed to some random boy and who is very upset because of it, "Taani mein tumhe paana chahata hun, churana nahi"
"Oye duplicate Shah Rukh Khan, khud ko kya DDLJ wala Raj samajh rakha hai 'mein tumhe paana chahata hun, churana nahi'" Rey and Taani looked at the direction from where the voice came and were shocked to see him "Karan bhaiyya" they both said together. "Kya hua? Itna kyun chauk rahe ho? 20 saal se yahan tum dono chup chup ke mil rahe ho, tumhe kya lagta hai kisi ko pata nahi chalega?" He smirked at them. "Bhaiyya aap yaha?" asked a scared Taani. "Karan bhaiyya aapko kaise pata chala ki" before Rey could complete his sentence Karan almost barked at him, "Reyansh Singhania tum toh chup hi raho. Meri behen ko tumne bigaad diya hai. Aur yeh 'bhaiyya' kya hai, mein tumhara bhaiyya nahi lagta. Taani chalo yahan se!" "Bhaiyya aap galat samajh rahe ho, mein aur Taani ek dusre se bohot pyaar karte hai, aur hum ek dusre ke siva reh nahi sakte." Rey was broken. He knew that now Karan would go and tell everyone, but he was surprised to see Karan laughing holding his stomach. "Hahahahaha! Apni shakal dekho tum dono, aisa lag raha hai jaise tum dono ki kisine jaan mang li ho!" Karan continued laughing whereas Rey and Taani stood there clueless. Taani went to Karan and asked him, "Bhaiyya aap aise hass kyun rahe ho?" "Tum dono ko kya laga mujhe iss love story ke bare mein kuch pata nahi. Mein Taani ko bohot atche se jaanta hu aur uska iss park se lagav dekh kar mujhe kuch gadbad lagi toh meine ek din usse follow kiya aur tab mujhe pata chala ki vo yahan tumse milne aati hai." said Karan. "Bhaiyya agar aapko pata tha toh phir aapne kisise kuch kahan nahi?" asked a confused Rey. "Rey mein jaanta hun ki humari families ek dusre se nafrat karti hai but mein yeh bhi jaanta hun ki tum ek bohot atche ladke ho. You have a pure heart Rey. Tum Taani se jitna pyaar karte ho utna koi kisise nahi karta hoga. Isiliye mein chup tha aur kabhi kisi ko kuch nahi bataya"
Taani had turned crimson red by hearing all this from her brother. Rey's lips too were curved into a cute smile. "Ohhooo koi blush kar raha hai" Karan started teasing Taani. "Bhaiyya please stop" pleaded Taani still blushing. "Rey, Taani barabar bol rahi hai tum dono ko bhaag ke shaadi karke yahan se durr chale jaana chahiye. As yahan rehne se papa Taani ki shaadi kara denge aur tum dono yeh she nahi paoge" explained Karan. "Par bhaiyya kya yeh galat nahi hoga?" asked Rey. "Jab koi pyaar mein hota hai tab kuch sahi galath nahi hota. All is fair." Saying this Taani tried to convince him that its not wrong but its for their betterment.
After a lot of 'Yeses' and 'Noes' Rey gave in as there was no other way than running away. "Aaj raat ko hi bhaag jaate hai!" said Taani who was very excited to run away with Rey. "Theek hai! Tum apni bag pack karke rakho, mein humare bhaagne ka intezaam kar dunga" told Rey. "Rey, shaayad tumne barabar se suna nahi jo meine kaha. Tum dono shaadi karke bhaagoge, warna mein Taani ko tumhe kahin le jaane nahi dunga!" warned Karan. "Bhaiyya hum shaadi baad mein bhi toh kar sakt.." Taani tried to explain her brother but he cut her sentence mid-way, "Taani, dekho mujhe galat mat samajhna, but I want you to stay safe wherever you are. Agar tum bina shaadi kiye chali gayi aur kahin isne tumhe chod diya toh??" "Bhaiyya mein Taani se pyaar karta hun, aur aap fikar mat karo mein use kabhi nahi chodne wala. Agar aap chahate ho ki hum shaadi karke jaye, toh aisa hi hoga." Saying this Rey looked at Taani, she read his mind and continued with him, "Par aapko hume aashirwaad dene aana hoga!" "Mein zarur aaunga!" Karan agreed.
They both left the park bidding 'Good-Bye' to each other and to have the last lunch with their families. After completing with their lunch, they indulged themselves in packing while Karan made all arrangements for their marriage at the temple which was on the out-skirts of the city and also near the airport. Rey had told Karan about his bungalow in Australia of which only he was aware about, none of his family members knew about it, and Karan booked the tickets for them.
*Tring* *Tring* Taani saw that it was Rey's call and answered. "So Princess ready ho shaadi ke liye?" Rey asked her. "Rey, kya hum sahi kar rahe hai?" "Taani, tumhi ne toh kaha tha 'Jab koi pyaar mein hota hai tab kuch sahi galath nahi hota' toh abh kya hua? Kahin uss champu se shaadi karne ka iraada toh nahi bana liya?" Rey tried to lighten her mood. "Rey please!" she answered irritated. "Kya hua Taani? Karan bhaiyya ke baare mein soch rahi ho na?" asked Rey. "Hmmm" was the only thing that she could say. "Taani, tum chinta mat karo, meine bhaiyya se baat kar le hai. Voh humse naraz nahi hai, infact khush hai. Hume tension free rehne ko kaha hai. Bhaiyya ne kaha hai ki vo yaha pe sab sambhal lenge. Agar kisi ko bhi pata chala toh vo unhe misguide kar denge aur kisi ko bhi humare beech aane nahi denge." Rey assured her and soon disconnected the call.
As per the plan, they met in the park at exact 7 PM. "Tum dono aage jao, agar koi gadbad hui toh mein call kar dunga, else seedhe 9 baje mandir mein milte hai" Karan told Rey and Taani and left. Like a true gentleman Rey opened the car's door for Taani. She slid in. He closed the door and came and sat on the driver's seat. Soon they left. After around one hour of driving, Rey stopped the car on the stranded road which they had taken so as not to be caught. Taani dialed Karan's number, "Hello bhaiyya hum almost pohoch gaye hai. Yahan se aage walk karke jaana hoga, just in 5 minutes hum mandir pohoch jayenge". While Taani continued talking on the phone there was someone who was looking at her dreamingly. From the time they met in the park till they drove here, Rey hadn't noticed how beautiful Taani looked. She had worn a simple but elegant salwar kameej, and for Rey she looked nothing less than an angel. As soon as she hung up her phone she could feel his gaze on her. She became conscious and started adjusting her dupatta which was already perfect.

Slowly Rey started moving towards her. Taani out of shyness turned around. Rey went ahead and embraced her from behind. He moved her long silky hair on one side and kissed her bare shoulder. Taani shivered at his touch. He turned her facing her to him. She couldn't meet his intense gaze so kept her head low. He cupped her face and lifted it up, he kissed her forehead. Taani shut her eyes. One by one he kissed both her eyes, and giving kisses all over her face reached her lips. Taani could feel his hot breath on her lips. The next second his rough lips were on her soft pink ones. First Taani didn't respond, but soon she responded back and the soft kiss became a passionate one. After a few minutes they broke away from each other because even passionate people needed oxygen.

Rey twirled her and started a slow dance with her. After a few more twirls and lifts they ended their dance with Taani resting her head on his shoulder. (I'm bad at writting choreography. Please imagine it yourself)

They were in their own dreamland until Taani's phone rang. It flashed Karan. "Taani suno yaha pata chal gaya hai ki tum Rey ke saath bhag gayi ho." Karan told her hurriedly. "KYA! Abh kya hoga!" Taani started panicking. Rey took away the phone from her, Karan continued, "Tum dono car ko kahin chupa lo aur khud bhi mandir ke paas kahin chup jao."

Rey picked up Taani as she was too panicked to move and went and stood behind a tree where no one would be able to see them. Then he parked the car in between the trees and covered it with broken branches. Taani saw some men coming towards the temple to search for them and signaled Rey to come back soon. Meanwhile Karan called the men and told them that he spot Rey and Taani in some other part of the city and asked them not to go to the temple and return. Karan called Rey, "Meine unhe bol diya hai ki tum log waha nahi ho. Jaise hi vo sab chale jaye, tum dono mandir jao aur shaadi kar lo." "Bhaiyya aap nahi aaoge?" asked Rey. "Pandit ji se kehke mantra chalu karne bol do mein thodi der mein pahuch jaunga." saying this Karan disconnected the call. Rey and Taani saw them retreating back and took that chance and went to the temple and started with the marriage rituals.

The marriage rituals were started. Pandit ji chanted some mantras. Soon Karan too reached there. Rey and Taani took seven rounds (saat-phere) around the fire which signifies seven vows of marriage.

Karan puts Taani's hand over Rey's and pours some water over it (ritual for kanya-daan) while Rey and Taani are looking in each other's eyes as if playing 'Who blinks first?'

Jo dil ka naata bann gaya
Pandit ji gave Rey the mangalsutra (an auspicious thread). Rey took it and put it around Taani's neck. After putting the hook, Rey took advantage of his proximity with Taani and gave a peck on her cheek making her blush.

Rey then took a pinch of vermilion (sindoor) and put it in the partition of her hair. Taani felt content and closed her eyes. Then they both stood up and took blessing from The Almighty and also asked for forgiveness. They went towards Karan and hugged him.
Taani's eyes were moist, like every other girl's after marriage, but her's were as she would probably never see her darling brother again. Karan took them to the airport and bid them bye.
"Mujhe lagta hai tum shaadi se khush nahi ho!" said Rey. "Aapko na kuch bhi lagta hai. I'm very happy that from now on I'm no longer Taani Shekhawat but I'm Mrs. Taani Singhania." Taani's eyes were sparkling as she said 'Mrs. Taani Singhania'. One reason was due to her tears which she was shedding a few minutes ago but the main reason for the spark was that her dream of being with her Prince forever had come true. She looked at Rey and saw him making a weird face at her, "What?" she asked. "Taani humari shaadi hui hai iska matlab ye nahi ki tum mujhe 'Aap' bulane lago. Yeh sunke lagta hai mein buddha ho gaya hu" he said making some more weird faces. Taani laughed looking at her husband who was looking very cute making such faces. "Atcha buhba theek hai. Mein tumhe 'Prince' bulaungi. Yeh chalega?" she asked. "Of course chalega Princess"
Soon the flight took off and Rey and Taani started their journey towards a new life
