Hi Riti,

I wanted to read the whole story in one go because I am very impatient while reading stories but now I am kicking myself for not reading and commenting chapter wise.

First of all, lovely story, very touching and an emotional bundle just like you 🤗.

I liked so many of the dialogues. Memories only pull you back... Shekar always saying I dont mind waiting for you.You did complete justice to your title throughout the story.

The narration flowed without major jerks. I liked how you went back and forth for the flashback. 👍🏼

I loved Shekar's character, what to do I am a sucker for characters who are in pain due to unrequited love.

First didnt have much to like Meera but I think in Ch 7 when she gets angry realising that Shekar always puts her first, I started to like her.

I am so glad you brought that flashback talk of Sameer and Meera about Shekar in the last part. You could have elaborated a little more. It looked like she just knew about Shekar's love but didnt want to accept knowing about it.

The way you ended is perfect. Looking for the epilogue ( dont make it too happy, would love that also to be an emotional one)

Did I do too much critiquing ? I loved reading it and thoroughly enjoyed it, because you moved me and thats where an authors success lies.

Aww thanks a lot shri for such a long comment😃🤗 and I am glad u loved it... and thanks for honest feedback...last chapter was a tough one to write...didnt knw how to end it..thus probably did shorten sameer n meera's convo...coz i had to very imp bring in meera-gayatri's convo...

Well i think most of readers or i will say all connected to shekhar's character more...i tried my best to avoid him in last few chapter consciously so focus is more on meera n connect too😆..

Will work on epilogue soon.. just caught up wid few things...so cudnt think abt it...will be surely posting it by this weekend...😊

Riti.. just finished the 8, 9 and 10 chapters together.. it was such a good read.. very well told story.. you have kept it simple and sometimes beauty lies in simplicity... i liked how you have left the ending open ended.. you have done a great job with this story.. i as a reader thoroughly enjoyed reading this heart melting story of shekar and meera..well done👍🏼 👏

edit: by simple i meant not many twists and turns in the story 😳

the emotional journey and what to say "kashmakash" of the characters you have brought out very well ⭐️

hey Riti it was amzing totaly amazing. U have given a justified ending coz if she has accepted his proposal right away it would have felt odd. Shekhar no doubt is amazing human being n a frnd all will love to have

Last Note

Hi Dear Friends,

I have decided to not write epilogue that i said previously just for the fact that I could not decide on how to move on next... and I felt it was nice if kept open ended..

I would like to share few things on story and idea behind it for the final closure note to end this thread...

Just some months ago..before this one..I had decided to tell a story of a widow ..her trials..her survival... that story I cud not write due to some reasons and left it at first chapter only...I was disappointed with myself too coz I was just starting writing something fictional... but that character remained in back of my mind...So yes Meera was always there .. This story was about a hope which is introduced in her life by shekhar... a friend ...a person who is ready to give it all for her to live again... Its always difficult to move on...but it is important to move on... coz life moves on anyway..

Slowly shekhar 's character evolved and I wanted to display that a person can love someone without any expectations... yes quite unreal for this real world..but then I took liberty of showing it.. Shekhar first instinct was always as friend.. thus his bond with meera was special in its own way...meera's conflict started with her denial..then with her accepting the fact that she is in darkness for life...and then finally trying to accept new light...

Yes it was essential to show new light coming into ...and her making this move...coz hope is what i wanted to introduce...hope that holds us when our whole world collapse...

A short brief story in the name of finding love again...yes hope again..!!

It has been pleasure interacting with my friends on this story. Jachu,Madhu,Amu,Nandu, Indi di,Soul,Fari,Misha ji,Adhi ,diba ,Meens ,Viji ,Shri,sona -thanks so much for your support and lovely comments...some joined me in starting and left in between ...hoping they will complete...😊..

This story was never about likes or comments...but just about me trying something which I have never done before but thought so many times...

Also thanks to my friends on FB n around..for reading and appreciating my effort..

First one is always special...
