There is an element of humor in the notion of the bride-to-be's eagerness to leave her own home and shedding copious tears at the thought of not being with her husband-to-be for the next couple of hours till the wedding… it gives the rest of the family and guests ample opportunity for leg pulling of the betrothed couple. Khushi's desperation and willingness to hide out at Shantivan, without the benefit of marriage is endearing. However, this coming from a girl who had earlier spoken out about the sanctity of marriage and vowed not to be caught dead in a live-in reflects how connected Khushi is to Arnav… the very thought of being separated from him generates an almost physical ache, almost as if an integral part of her being is being amputated! Khushi is truly unique in the way she sees the world! No wonder her family and friends are more often than not left shaking their heads or left chuckling helplessly at her antics… why would her wedding rituals be any different?! She begging him to remain at her house with her is another 'awww' moment. Arnav teasing her, by suggesting all the places she could hide in his house, just so her tears would dry up and she would dazzle him with her beguiling smile is another moving moment. He's willing to move mountains to make Khushi's smallest wish come true! The thought of being separated from the love of his life, even for a few hours, is anathema to him! The shrewd businessman that he is, he bends his canny intellect to find a way to wriggle out of the impasse, without offending the elders of the family. That his family has anticipated this very move on his part just adds to the fun and laughter. Buaji raised an eyebrow at him… looks like she's learnt to copy Arnav's mannerisms! Ganesh, NK, Akash, and Gaurav looked at Arnav with admiration… they must be taking notes from the master for future implementation, while ruing the fact that such a thought hadn't crossed their minds! "Achha khayal hai, Chotey," Anjali teased him. "It will save you a lot of bother, won't it?" While Anjali is right, am wondering if this ploy won't backfire… given that the bride and groom aren't to see each other till the actual wedding ceremony, having all the family members at Shantivan would mean that there would be more than enough chaperones to play spoilsport… however, given how inventive and determined Arnav is, that shouldn't pose much of a problem for him! The elders these two families are true role models because for them the happiness of the youngsters is what counts more than mere adherence to rituals… the families enjoying the laughter and frolic as one big happy family means far more to them than anything else… these two marriages are truly made in heaven… one can't help but be moved by the love between the couples and the love that each family member shares with one another… a great extended family! Just loved Ganesh's concluding quip that ASR is a stubborn though likable ass… so damn true… he might be cold and calculating ASR to the rest of the world, but he is Arnav especially to Khushi and to the others he loves… for Khushi, Arnav will bend over backwards and even transform into ASR, just to keep the tears away from her mesmeric eyes! Wow, what an update… I've died and gone to heaven! Your Arnav-Khushi stories make one believe in happily ever afters, once again!
