Hey guys! So, I had this idea for a while now but it took some time to get my head around a proper plot, so here I am posting this short FS and experimenting to see if it is worthy of being read. Do hope you'll like it!

"If you can dream it, you can be it."
Khushi sat in her bedroom, listening intently to the voice coming from her bedside table, her fingers twiddling as she tuned in to her favourite daily broadcast. Leaning insanely close, she fumbled about and eventually reached for the radio that rested beside her. Placing it on her lap, she held it delicately, craning her neck even closer, not wanting to miss a single word.
"Know dear listeners, that each and every one of you out there has potential. You should never let anybody put you down because of where you come from, your skin colour or who you as a person. The greatest victory that a person can feel is to show haters and oppressors that they are wrong. See, reaching heights is an art, but art itself requires one to be a willing climber. To grasp those heights in a fist and show them off to the world."
Khushi closed her eyes and let the flow of the voice on the radio wash over her senses. It was wonderful, magical and exceptionally soothing to the ears, that Khushi could not help but wonder how much of a beauty the owner of the voice would be.
His words were of moral and reflection and Khushi felt the familiar fluster of her heart pounding against her chest, as it always did when a certain someone's voice happened to meet her ears. Even though she was fully aware that this person hardly knew she existed, Khushi could not help but feel an instant connection with the subtlety of his expression and the clarity with which he spoke.
It is said that actions are ones that speak louder than words, yet here there was an absolute contradiction as Khushi knew that whoever this person was, he had done nothing except render her precious heart as his prisoner to drown in the web of words he laid out for her only by speaking, so doing anything would be out of the question!
Khushi smiled knowingly as she once again surrendered herself totally and listened for that one voice that unknowingly stole the contents of her soul.
"You remember that. And be the best person you can be. Not for me. Not for those haters. But for you. Because once you start caring what others think, you will lose yourself in a world of pretence, delusion and unfaithfulness."
So true.. Khushi mentally agreed in her mind as she shook her head in a violent nod, acknowledging his words. It was one thing to be yourself, but it was a total other to be someone else entirely. Surely being yourself is hard enough. Why on earth would anyone want to split themselves literally, as two separate people?
"That's it for today guys. Do tune in tomorrow, same time, same place. Stay safe and happy, and goodnight."
Khushi sighed, clutching the radio close to her chest as he said those last words of every broadcast, wishing silently in her heart that he could be here with here right now. The masculine edge to his voice as it dripped with huskiness was enough to lull her senseless, yet she marvelled at the effect that an unknown, invisible stranger had on her.
She listened as the usual credits after the show were being played and then shut the radio, lying flat on her tummy as she began conjuring up images of the one man who she knew would be faithful to in all senses-visible or not.
