The next day, everyone returned back to Mumbai. Taani felt extremely guilty for shouting at Rey and ruining the trip for everyone. Once they were home, Taani approached Swayam when he was alone.
T: Bhai?
Sw (turning around): Yah Taani
T (looking towards the floor): I'm sorry, I know you wanted this weekend to be filled with happiness and I ruined it for everyone, I'm really sorry.
Swayam cupped her face, and pulled up her face, to make her look into his eyes, he wiped the tears which had made their way down her cheek; Taani didn't even know when she had started crying.
Sw: Heyyy, it's ok, I know you didn't do that on purpose, you were hurt and I understand. At least you got everything out of your system and now you can move past it. Now smile, I want to see my sister smiling.
Taani gave a little smile and hugged him.
T: Thank you Bhai.
Sw (hugging her back): You're welcome, I love you Taani.
T: I love you too Bhai.

Taani stood outside a house, motivating herself to ring the doorbell. She had apologized to her brother and her bhabhi, now there was one more person who she owed an apology to. She took a deep breath and rang the doorbell and waited for the door to open.
Rey heard the doorbell and wondered who it could be at that time in the night. He opened the door and was shocked to see Taani standing there. She was the last person he expected to see, especially after the confrontation over the weekend.
T (nervously) Ummm, can I come in?
R (snapping out of his shock): Huh, oh yeah, yeah, come in
Rey moved out of the way for Taani to enter and followed her inside into the living room. She stopped walking and turned around to face him.
T (nervous): Actually, I just wanted to apologize?
R (confused): Apologize?
T (a bit more confident): Yah, apologize, for the way I behaved and shouted at you. I shouldn't have done that.
R: Taani, it was my fault, I deserved it. I know you were angry and you had every right to be. So I don't blame you, you don't need to apologize for anything.
T: YES I DO!! I mean it has been 6 years Rey; I shouldn't have brought up the past, especially in front of everyone.
R: Taani, about 6 years ago..
T (interrupts him): I know Rey, I already know. Bhai already told me why you did everything.
Rey was shocked to know Taani knew everything. Rey felt a bit happy to know that maybe everything would be okay between them now; he took a step towards her.
R: Taani..
T (takes a step back and interrupts him): But Rey, I'm sorry it does not change anything.
Rey felt his heart break into a million pieces once again.
T: Rey, we can be friends but nothing more.
R: But Taani, I'm sorry for whatever happened in the past, I still love you.
Taani was a bit stunned to hear that, but she looked away, not being able to face him.
T: It's been 6 years Rey and we are no longer the same people we were in college. I'm sorry Rey, but I can't offer you anything other than friendship, but if you are not okay with that, I understand, no hard feelings.
Saying that she was about to leave, but Rey's voice stopped her in her tracks.
R (stopping her): Fine, friends
Taani turned around to look at him and he held out his hand. He was willing to take whatever he could get at this point.
R: Friends?
T (smiling and shaking his hand): Friends.
R (thinking): I love you Taani, and I understand that you think you can't be with me right now, but I promise you, I will get you back in my life, I'm not going to lose you a second time.

After this the situation really lightened between everyone. The D3 team and Taani's friends all got to know that Rey and Taani had decided to forget the past and move on as friends, which made everyone really happy. Although Sharon and Swayam knew Rey wanted more than friendship, and Rey had also let them in on his idea of making Taani fall for him once again.
After a few days, Taani and her co workers had gone to an important meeting regarding their project and the D3 team was rehearsing in their academy. After some time they were finishing off their last routine, it was of their favorite style, street, and they were doing it on a mix of songs. When they finished, they heard claps from behind them and turned around to see Taani and her friends standing there with smiles on their faces clapping.
T (proudly): I told you they were good.
Ar: Wow, Taani, seriously, you said they were good, but I didn't imagine that you guys were THIS good.
Raj: Absolutely, have to agree, you guys were brilliant.
R: Thanks guys
D3 gang: Yah thanks.
Sh: How come you guys are here, I thought you had gone for a meeting.
T (happily): Yes we had bhabhi, but it finished quite quickly
Sw (suspiciously): Taani, why do you seem so happy?
Taani and her friends looked at each other with huge smiles on their faces and then Taani looked back at Swayam.
T: Actually bhai, (takes a deep breath) WE GOT THE PROJECT!
The D3 gang was a bit shocked for a second, but Swayam quickly snapped out of it, he ran up to his sister and gave her a huge hug.
Sw: Congratualations Taani, I knew you could do it.
T: Thanks Bhai
Sh: Congrats guys, I knew you guys would get the project, after all you guys have been working so hard, Swayam and I have seen all of you pulling so many all nighters trying to get everything right.
Ar: Thanks Sharon, and yah now all the hard work has finally paid off.
An: This project has been in a way, the biggest project of our careers.
The D3 gang then all congratulated Taani and her team, Rey congratulated all of them and finally Taani and Rey came face to face. Rey was about to hug her, but stopped himself in time before making it awkward. He put out his hand.
R: Congratulations Taani, I'm so happy for you
T (shaking his hand, with a smile): Thank you Rey.
Sw: Wait a minute, does that mean you are going back to Delhi?
The D3 gang's expressions all changed from happy to disappointed, Rey went straight into panic mode.
R (thinking): No, she cannot be leaving, I have not had enough time with her yet, I cannot not see her every day, I need her, and she needs to be here. Please God not again, please don't separate her from me once again. Please, I can't live without her.
T: No Bhai, not yet, we will soon, but not yet, there are still many details which need to be decided with the project.
With that the whole gang started cheering again, and Rey got a 1000 megawatt smile on his face.
R (breathing a sigh of relief and whispering to himself): Thank you God
Everyone turned to look at Rey.
Ar: Rey, did you say something.
R: Me? No, no, nothing at all. (Smiles assuring everyone, everything is fine)
V: Guys, this calls for a celebration
Sw: Absolutely, let's go out to dinner
Sh: Swayam, how about that place where you took me for the first time after our wedding, that place has a great ambience.
Nil: First date after marriage, wooo
Everyone: Wooo
Sh (blushing): Shut up guys
Sw: That's a good idea Sharon, it's a bit far, but it's a really nice place, so guys let's change and then we can leave.
Everyone: Kool
Everyone was changed and ready to go for dinner, the restaurant was about an hour's drive, but Sharon and Swayam were very keen to go there, so everyone had agreed. Everyone had piled into three cars, however, only Rey and Taani were left and no seats were available. Actually this was not a coincidence, Sharon had orchestrated it as such, so that Rey and Taani could have some time alone, and hopefully Taani could come to realize what she truly feels for Rey and maybe just maybe they could become Taarey once again.
Sh: Oh my God, Rey, Taani, you guys are left and there are no more seats in the car. Why don't you guys do one thing, Rey, why don't you and Taani come on your bike?
Taani and Rey turned and looked at each other, they both knew what the other was thinking, their first bike ride together, Rey had been angry at Taani for being late, and she in her cute way had apologized to him, and then Rey had scared Taani by speeding and then cutely apologized to her by placing his hand on her cheek. They were both lost in the past romantic memories.
T (finally breaking out of the eyelock and facing Sharon): Bhabhi, I'm sure we can fit both of us into some car or the other.
Sh: Taani, you can see there is no space at all, where will you sit. You and Rey are friends now right, so what's the problem
Sharon winks at Rey without Taani noticing, indicating to him that this is her plan, Rey catches on, and plays along.
R: Yah Taani, we are friends right, unless there is some other reason you don't want to go with me
Taani turned to look at Rey and Rey stared at her as if daring her to say no, with a slight smirk on his lips.
T: Fine, let's go
Saying that Taani turned and walked off towards Rey's bike, Rey gave Sharon a thumbs up and a little wink and ran behind Taani to the bike.
