While the Khushi-Arnav love story is full of passion and desire often kept in check, the Ganesh-Anamika one is more sublime [not to say, that there's no understanding or trust and softer feelings between them!]… I am sure Ganesh feels passion for Anamika, but keeps it reined in as he knows what Anamika has been through. He doesn't want to hurt her physically or emotionally by forcing his 'unwanted' attentions on her… despite the awkwardness of the situation, he smiles at her to reassure her that he's still her friend and let her know that it's business as usual between them…Ganesh notices the slightest things about Anamika, e.g. the dark circles under her eyes… seeing the dilemma she's facing, resulting in her having spent a sleepless night, he wants to put her mind at ease… so he makes use of self-deprecating humor to comfort her: Ganesh smiled ruefully. "So I succeeded in stealing your sleep, but for the wrong reasons." "I am too old for this romance thing, I guess." Ganesh laughed. "I need to ask Gaurav for tips on how not to scare the girl you love." That Anamika loves him is clear to the reader, as seen by Anamika's reaction to this statement of Ganesh: she instinctively runs and hugs him to show him that she's not scared of him… this coming from a person who hates being touched is an authentication of the unspoken and hitherto unacknowledged trust she has in him! pleased to see that they aren't putting off what they need to speak of: where they see their relationship going now that Anamika knows that Ganesh loves her and is keen on marrying her… Ganesh asked softly, his right hand patting her head. His left hand did not touch her. The last thing he wanted to do was remind her of the horrible attack on her… his gesture indicates that he doesn't want her to feel trapped and helpless in his presence… he uses only one hand to give her solace, giving her ample opportunity to step away if she feels confined… "I don't like touching anybody. I hate being touched." Anamika confessed in a low voice. "If I marry you, then…" She reacts instinctively by searching for comfort and peace in the arms of the one man she trusts not to hurt her, without realising that she is actually touching him and had done so at the hospital, too! Her fear of disappointing him after marriage is a very real one as rape victims, more often than not, can't bear intimacy which can put a strain on a marriage in the long run… seeing the usually confident Anamika so vulnerable is a poignant moment… love the gentleness, patience and understanding with which Ganesh makes Anamika realise and come to terms with her feelings for him… his suggestion of how they can ease into the intimate side of a relationship is quite sensible… "What if I can never…?" she asked tremulously. "Then we live with it. Together." Ganesh said… there is no greater testimony of love and commitment! He is willing to accept a platonic relationship if it means he can have a family with Anamika and Gaurav, and be there for them always!

The Arnav-Khushi telephonic convo is a cute reminder of the 'toh mei phone rak dhoon' one in the show… she expects her Arnavji to be filmy, when anyone less filmy than he I've yet to come across! "What will you do with me if I give you my afternoon?" He sounded hopeful… and his one-track mind is back! Such a double-entendre… my highly overactive imagination came up with some darn hot visuals, thanks to that query! Just love how Khushi's words and actions often leave Arnav speechless and with his jaw slack… life with her is highly unpredictable… her childlike enthusiasm and willingness to share her happiness with all her loved ones is what makes her so lovable though, in this particular instance, Arnav may not totally agree: It was many things, but they were not things to sully her ears with… HILARIOUS I can just imagine the words running through his mind! That, despite the others' presence, Khushi will find pleasure in this planned outing only if Arnav is with her is the realisation that makes him promptly agree to accompany them… that he had back to back meetings and isn't keen on Hindi films / heroes [especially Salman Khan] is quickly forgotten in his desire to make Khushi happy… in this aspect both Arnav and Ganesh are alike... they will do anything to keep pain at bay and to bring a smile to their ladyloves' faces!

can't wait to see what their outing will be like... on another note, when is Lisa going to ger her come uppance?
