Part 11

Vanshika and vikram rushed to the hospital and were informed that jeevika had gained consciousness but viren was still critical as his head had banged into the windscreen with a lot of force.

They went to see jeevika as viren was still in the operation theatre. As soon as they entered, they saw jeevika opening her eyes and both of them immediately rushed to her side.

Jeevika- maa! Viren! Where is he? Is he fine? What happened?

Vanshika and vikram did not know what to say to her, they just tried to calm her down, but jeevika was blowing her top in tension. She wanted to know how her husband was!

Jeevika- MAA!!!!!!! Answer me please! What has happened to viren!?

Vanshika- jeevika beta! Please calm down actually Viren's head smashed through the windscreen and he is badly hurt... so they are operating on him at the moment!

As soon as she finished vanshika burst into tears and was closely followed by vikram also who was very worried about his son's health. But jeevika was silent, not one tear had dropped from her eyes, she was just staring straight ahead. Vanshika looking at her like this tried to shake her and get her back into her senses. As they were trying to get jeevika out of the shock the nurse came in.

Nurse - excuse me! Mr and Mrs. Vadhera the operation is over and we are shifting the patient in the room next door! And yes do not worry the operation was successful!

Vanshika and vikram took a sigh of relief whereas jeevika was still not responding.

Vanshika- jeevika! Beta! He is fine now! Please relax!

Jeevika- can i see him? Please?

Vikram and vanshika supported her and took her to the room next to hers where viren was lying with his head bandaged and tubes and drips attached to him. As soon as jeevika saw him in this state, tears started pouring out of her eyes!

She walked to the bed and sat beside him and caressed his face. She moved her hand down to his and held it against her body. She just kept crying looking at viren's condition, vanshika and vikram thought it would be best to leave her with him just now and they slowly left the room to wait outside. Jeevika after a while cried herself to sleep but did not leave viren's hand at all.

In the morning vikram and vanshika came inside to see jeevika sleeping with her head on virens chest and viren who was now slightly opening his eyes. They ran to his bedside and woke jeevika up. Jeevika was elated that he was finally awake and alright!

Viren (softly whispering) - Maa! Dad!

Vanshika- beta iam so happy that you are ok now!

Viren- yah! Iam fine now mom! But...

Vikram- viren! it's all ok beta don't worry! Look even jeevika is fine and now both of you can come home!

Viren- who both?

Vanshika- you and jeevika beta!

Viren - who jeevika? And Ya who is this girl standing with you guys? And one more thing where on earth is maya?

Jeevika who had not said anything as yet was shattered yet again! Her viren did not remember her and he was asking for his ex girlfriend who had broken his heart into pieces!

Vanshika- viren please stop joking around! And why are you asking for maya!

Viren- Iam not joking! I seriously do not know who this girl is and Iam asking for maya because she is my girlfriend, the love of my life!

That did it for jeevika she just ran out of the room crying! Whereas vanshika and vikram could not understand the situation and called the doctor, who checked viren and informed vanshika and vikram that he is suffering from partial amnesia. This means that he does not remember the past 5 years of his life, which meant that he did not remember jeevika at all. Vikram went to handle viren , whereas vanshika went to find jeevika who was crying constantly in her room.

Vanshika- jeevika beta!

Jeevika- maa! He did not even look at me, maa! He asked for maya! That bitch who was with him only for his money and for nothing else! He does not remember me!

Vanshika- jeevika please calm down! The doctor told us that because of the injury he is suffering with partial amnesia! He does not remember the past 5 years of his life. We have to tackle this situation calmly! He still feels that maya is his girlfriend, you have to make him realise that now you are his wife! You have a chance to make him fall in love with you again! Do not lose it! Not many people get this chance jeevika! And beta, remember that you cannot tell him anything directly, you will have to be subtle about it all!
