Nafisa (-doe-eyes-) recommended this os tome, and i'm so glad she did. I loved the story and how arnav helps his daughter in law release her tears, her sorrow, and her desperation.

Rae,
It is difficult to 'like' this piece as the emotions depicted transcend such frivolities in my mind, what I will say however is the pain of loss always hurts and even more so when it is one of a child. All those opportunities, dreams, that chance to actually LIVE life, all lost. I cannot begin to imagine how heartbreaking that would be, how it can tear apart a family but what you beautifully showcased is that even the most fragile of relationships can be sewn back together with the right support. The final person will be changed but hopefully that little bit stronger and if not anything else thankful for everything in their life which is still with them, waiting to be savoured.

Wonderful OS.
I really don't have word to describe my feelings that I am having this time. May the girl' s soul rest in peace .

Though the story is about stillborn and accidents, I remembered something else related to my childhood. Since you have written it for a cause I thought of telling this.

When I read the part where Arnav was crying for his stillborn daughter I was transported back to my childhood.
I was the first child of the house so it didn't matter much that I was a girl. But when my sister was born , every one wanted a boy except for me and my mom. So , when she was born and they came to know that it is not a boy , the atmosphere there was the same as of any stillborn's. I cried whole night not understanding why theywere behaving like this.
I remember asking my mother so many times that is it a crime being a girl ?

So father daughter relationship are very close to my heart. When ever I read one I Get transported back to my own childhood and i can't stop myself from imagining what would it would have felt like ?

And reading this I felt the same. The sentence where Arnav asks Ayaan to feed him realky touched my heart.

I really dont know what to say except that I am humbled that you thought you could share this with me and glad that this story made you think so. This story has taken on a new dimension for me with your comment.

And about what you experienced...again, all I can say is that I hope that you find a companion who understands that a girl child is a boon and shares this in common with you and gives you all the love and dreams that you missed out on!

Keep smiling, sweetheart, and be glad that you have a mother who understands you even if no one else does.
