Epilogue : Signing Off!

Khushi was in the kitchen stirring sauce on the stove.

Little Aarushi was in Her arms making goo goo sounds while rattling a spoon in a bowl.

Khushi picked some sauce on Her finger and made Aarushi lick some of it.

"Aaah!" Aarushi squealed.

"Aaah!" Khushi imitated, making Aarushi giggle.

Aarushi pecked Khushi's cheek.

"The house seems quiet. We should go and see what Your Daddy is up to all alone." Khushi winked in conspiracy.

Aarushi giggled as if She understood what Her Mother was planning.

"Arnie.. What are You busy with??" Khushi walked in carrying one year old Aarushi in Her hands.

Arnav turned around and chuckled.

"You are reading My Diary??" Khushi huffed. "Again..."

Arnav chuckled and closed the Dairy titled ~2013~.

"Awww..." Arnav cooed while taking Aarushi in His hands. "How was Your Day, Happiness??"

"Successful." Khushi said while picking up all the diaries from the coffee table. "Laundry in the washing machine, Pasta sauce ready for dinner, vegetables in the steamer, fruit puree in Aarushi's stomach and there was one more thing on My to-do list which I am forgetting..."

"Ewww... Aarushi's stinky diaper." Arnav made a face holding Aarushi away from Himself.

"Oh Yeah... That was the thing in My list which I had forgotten." Khushi chuckled. "Do it for Me, Please?"

"Me??" Arnav groaned and looked at Aarushi who was batting Her eyelids at Him just like Her Mother. "OK! Fine."

Arnav walked over to the changing table set up with Aarushi's cleaning stuff.

"Clap for Daddy! Clap! Clap!" Arnav cooed while distracting Aarushi.

"You finished reading all the diaries??" Khushi exclaimed while keeping them back in the cabinet.

"No... I was about to read the 2013 Diary." Arnav winked. "The Year We got married."

"Nooo!!!" A new voice interrupted the conversation. "I did not take Your toy!!!"

A 2 year old Priya ran into the room and bounced around Arnav followed by 3 year old Neerav.

"You took My toy!" Neerav stuttered while running behind Priya with outstretched arms.

Khushi grabbed a squealing Priya in Her hands. Priya immediately placed both Her palms on Her eyes.

"Priya." Khushi said softly. "Where is Neerav's toy??"

Priya smoothly moved one hand from Her face and dug into Her frock's pocket removing a toy airplane.

"Good Girl." Khushi said and took the toy from Her hands. "Here is Your toy, Neerav."

"Your parents have left You with Us for a vacation not for fighting." Khushi flicked Neerav's nose which was a copy of His father, NK.

"Sorry Bui. " Priya kissed Khushi's cheek. "We will be good. Pinky Promise."

Priya had inherited Her father, Aakash's naughtiness but She still had Her Mother, Payal's calmness.

"Can We go outside and play with the dolls??" Neerav had inherited His Mother, Lavanya's taste for fashion.

"Yeah. Bui, Can We play??" Priya asked softly.

"OK! But No fighting." Khushi said and watched them run out of the room.

Arnav had changed Aarushi's clothes and was setting up Her bottle in the kitchen.

"How was Your morning, Arnie?" Khushi said taking Aarushi back in Her hands.

"2 conference calls, 4 New employees recruitment and 1 international deal cracked." Arnav sighed. "So, Movie tonight?"

"OK!" Khushi said setting up the table for dinner. "I will get the kids ready for bed and..."

"I will tuck them into bed." Arnav completed. "See You on the couch, Wifey!" He winked and walked out into the living room.

Dinner was the usual with Arnav telling stories to the kids, food flying across the table and Aarushi's occasional giggle.

"Phewww.. Finally! Kids in bed, movie on TV, popcorn in hand and You next to Me... utter bliss!" Arnav sighed while plopping down next to Khushi on the couch.

The movie started but Khushi was asleep due to exhaustion of running behind the kids by the time the introductory credits rolled.

Arnav chuckled and picked Her in His arms. Tucking the blanket around Khushi, He quietly whispered, "I Love You, Happiness."

Snuggling deeper into Arnav's arms, Khushi mumbled, "Love You too, Arnie. Good Night."

Arnav was about to get up when Khushi said, "Where are You going??"

"Ummm.. I have to do something.. I will be back in 10 minutes."

Arnav walked upto His cabinet and removed a Diary titled ~2016~.

Life could not be more fun where I am in Love with My beautiful Happiness who is My wife, My soul mate, the mother of My child and most of all the girl I cant live without.

I am glad that I fell for My Best friend and that I can spend the rest of My life with Her.

The most Beautiful Epilogue of any story that I have read till today!

Such a beautiful ending to this story! 😳 👏 This was truly Flawless! 😳

Best Lines:
