Chapter 18- Pull of Emotions.

26th December 2011

When I came back Home from College, Sheetal was already sitting in my living room.

"So, How did it go??" Sheetal questioned enthusiastically.

"Horrible!" I said throwing the car keys on the table and plopping down on the couch.

"What happened?? You did not confess to Arnav??" Sheetal questioned incredulously.

"I said that I am in love.." I replied in a bored voice.

"What?? Wow! This is so exciting!!" Sheetal squealed. "What did He reply??"

"I did not have the courage to say that I am in Love with Him." I replied not quiet looking at Sheetal.

"Ohh... Thats bad. Trust Me, Arnav is in love with You and you should say it to Him." Sheetal explained calmly.

The door bell rang indicating a visitor.

"Hey Princess!" NK was smiling infectiously when I opened the door.

"Hey NK! What are You doing here??" I questioned.

"Nothing... Had come to ask You something." NK winked.

"Oh... Come in.. We have Sheetal for company too." I said, opening the door wide for Him.

"Hey, Sheetal... What are You two up to?? Girl time??" NK smiled.

"Yeah... Sort of." Sheetal replied.

"Yeah. So tell Me... What did You want to ask??"

"Umm... I heard what You said to Arnav... You love Him??" NK questioned calmly.

I turned with wide eyes towards Sheetal who was smirking at Me.

"Err... Yes! I do. I do love Arnie."

NK kept staring at Me.

"I am So sorry NK... You are a really nice Guy... Its just that I have always loved Arnav but did not have the courage to confess My feelings. I dont even know whether He loves Me or not. I just know that I love Him and I will love Him forever." I blabbered because I was getting nervous by the way NK was staring at Me.

NK turned and looked at Sheetal.

To My surprise, Both burst out laughing clutching their stomachs and trying to keep themselves on the couch.

"What's wrong?? Why are You both laughing??" I questioned looking between NK and Sheetal.

"Khushi... Meet Sheetal Kashyap. Lavanya's cousin and my future Sister-in-law." NK winked.

"WHAT???" I shrieked in confusion.

"Yes!" Both of them squealed together.

"You are Lav's cousin???" I questioned again. "And OMG... You are dating Lavanya???"

I questioned simultaneously to both of them.

"Yes!" Both of them squealed again, smirking widely.

"What are You both doing here?? Why didn't You tell Me this before??" I whined.

"We came here to help You understand your feelings towards Arnav and vice versa." Sheetal explained.

"Lavanya told Me everything about your story and then We had planned to set You both up." NK said hi-fiving Sheetal.

"OMG... You Guys are so sweet! I don't know what to say.. How can I thank You both and Lavanya??" I squealed and hugged them.

"You can thank Us... Yes! Go and confess your feelings to Arnav. He has been waiting for You like forever." NK said while getting up from the couch.

"Thank You, NK. You are a good friend." I said and hugged him as He walked out of the house.

"So... When do You plan to tell Arnav??" Sheetal questioned after NK had left the house.

"Umm.. Tomorrow. I guess." I replied apprehensively.

"No! Today. It should be done today!" Sheetal rebuked. "Do You know where is Arnav right now??"

"Yes... Basket Ball Practice." I replied shortly.

"OK. We are going there. Come on." Sheetal jumped up and pulled Me up from the couch.

Looks like my doom is very near.

I had been aimlessly shooting the hoops even after the practice had ended and the Basket ball court was empty.

"Hey Arnav!" I did not even have to look behind to see who that was.

"Hey, NK." I replied not turning behind to look at Him.

"What's up?? Not going home. Practice got over long back." NK asked looking around the Basket Ball court.

"Yeah. I know." I replied and kept dribbling the ball.

"Do You want to play with Me??" NK questioned.

"Yeah. Sure. You might as well win this too." I replied in defeat, passing him the ball.

"Hmmm... I saw Khushi today." NK said out of the blue.

"Oh, Yeah. Congratulations. So You Guys are together now??? You beat Me after all." I replied nonchalantly.

"Hmmm... Yeah. Your heart really crashed after all." NK smirked.

"You don't really have to rub it in My face." I said shooting the to ball in to the hoop perfectly.

"You really think Khushi is in Love with Me??" NK questioned with a sly smile.

"Yeah. What do You mean??" I questioned throwing the ball aside.

"Khushi is not in Love with Me." NK confessed.

I raised My eyebrow. "What?? But She said She is in Love and I assumed it must be You."

"You know Arnav... I used to think Khushi is the prime member of the THICKHEAD CLUB but looks like You are her stiff competition." NK said.
"She is in love with Someone. She said so herself."

"She said that to Me too..." I shrugged off My shoulders.

"But there is a difference. She told Me the Guy's name. Here, Listen." NK said and handed Me His I-phone.

'I am So sorry NK... You are a really nice Guy... Its just that I have always loved Arnav but did not have the courage to confess My feelings. I dont even know whether He loves Me or not. I just know that I love Him and I will love Arnav forever.'
