Part 8:

Arjun shook his head amused at all that was happening!

He walked back to his cabin voicing out "Just half an hour sweetheart…and you will be back, right on my lap! That's a promise!"

He waited for another 15 minutes in his cabin…..and then took his mobile out…..typed in a message and sent to Sakshi……………

Sakshi was merrily enjoying her ride on Shree's bike…perched to him and his bike and acting like a free bird just out of its cage and hoping to touch the skies…..

Shree, on the other side was nervous..no that was an understatement….he was damn scared about what would happen the next day when he would have to face the hot cop……he even contemplated the idea of taking a long leave from ETF……..

He couldn't understand what was running in Sakshi's mind! Though she was always happy go lucky and jovial all the times, she was secretive as well…she let out only things which really needed to be broadcasted…..she was brilliant in doing such filtered let outs!

Shree could see that there was something brewing between the hot cop and his lady…..and she would never let that private matter to anybody else, whatever happens…

Sakshi's one side was still in ETF lingering around Arjun and what he would be doing at that moment but that just didn't prevent her from enjoying the cool night breeze, the soothing ride, the thrilling speed….and of course, her nonstop chatter with Shree…..

They had just reached her place and she hadn't yet got off his bike when her mobile buzzed with his message….she had been waiting for a call or message from him…..she told to herself grinning with a naughty glint in her eyes as she saw the name of the sender "main jaanthi thi, aap zaroor sorry bolenge…"

She clicked it open as she got off the bike and alas, all her colors drained away, the smiles vanished……and her face was pale….and almost instantly it was red with anger now…..

The first impulsive reaction she did was to grab Shree's collar with one hand asking him to stop……He was more confused now but nodded and stopped the bike!

She immediately called Arjun…….

ETF…..Arjun's cabin…..

He sarcastically grinned after sending off the message…..and within a minute, his phone rang flashing her name on the display…..

He told to himself with a grin "as expected!"

He took the call and just spoke into it "you wasted one minute Sakshi…..just 14 minutes left!"

Saying that he cut the call…..

She blew her hair in anger….he had so arrogantly touched her sensitive nerve!

She climbed back into Shree's bike saying "Shree, mujhe pls waapas ETF drop karo…."

Shree let a shocked "KYAA??? Paagal toh nahi ho gayi??? Ab waapas wahaan?? Par kyun??

Sakshi: tum pehle bike toh start karo….kyun, kab, kahaan?? Isska jawaab mein raaste pe doongi…its very urgent Shree…plss jaldi chalo..…meri life and death ka sawaal hai!

Shree didn't argue further, "ok"

And he zoomed the bike towards ETF…

As they ride along, she kept looking into her watch and muttered "aise kaise mujhe time limit denge….shit! aur main bhi aise paagalon ke tarah bhaag ke jaa rahi hoom…."
Her mind pondered over his message...it read...

"I have my second choices as well…..Be right here in 15 minutes else you lose your chance lady!"

Shree enquires snapping her out, "tumne kuch kahaa…phir se plan change toh nahi ho gaya?"

Sakshi: nahi nahi…mujhe bas 12 minutes mein ETF paunchna hai….koyi bhi shortcut le lo..bas mujhe ETF jaana hai!

Shree was puzzled with her request…….that too with a time limit! He was pukka sure that she had gone totally crazy….he voiced out "pehle hi paagal thi..ab usske aage kya ho saktha hai?"

Sakshi didn't reply…Shree was right…...she was totally crazy to have said so many crazy things to Arjun and now with just a message from him, she was running back to him………But how could she not go….His message was such that na? how could she afford to lose him?? And that too for another girl...no way!...……she stopped thinking….she was sure that it was just a dhamki from him…..real mein thodi na karenge…..she consoled herself…..

But she too felt that she crossed her limits…..she had dragged a simple nhok jhok to the verge of a break up…..she told to herself "you are impossible Sakshi…….Arjun se itna mazaag teek baat nahi…..akdu kab kya kar beite aur usska sarr kab about turn le, kaun predict kar saktha hai……so handle him with care Sakshi…..wahi tere liye accha hoga…"

Someone somewhere behind her head tried to knock some sense into her bird like silly brain!

Yes it was her less frequented logical mind which tried to do that ghustaaki but this time, she didn't smack and push it away like she always did…..because she knew that it was so right this time!

They reached ETF a minute before the dead line……….She got off and ran into the building simultaneously shouting out to Shree "Thanks Shree… BYEE….Gud Night…….."

Shree couldn't understand anything……but he could see that it was Arjun effect on her…..and he was damn sure that Arjun was up there in his cabin waiting for this girl……

So Shree chose to rest the matter then and there and drove back home……

"Lift ko bhi abhi bandh hona tha"……..she cursed her ill luck as she sprinted through the stairs…

She barged into his cabin………..his chair was turned to the opposite side facing the wall…..She rushed to him and just as she almost reached there, he twirled around and she put her brake a second late and so bumped on to his chair and there she fell flat on his lap…….She panted heavily and was trying to breath normally!

He gave a naughty grin at her visibly stunned face……and voiced out,

"you are late darling!"

Sakshi gathered herself up and her stunned expressions were slowing returning to normal…..She tried to get up from his lap while he tugged her back and kept her bound to his lap…….

"Poora ek minute late ho tum" he repeated…….

She crunched her face in anger and spoke angrily still panting "ek minute??….aap jaanthe bhi ho main kaise yahaan itne kam time pe paunchi hoom? Lift nahi thi….stairs se bhaag ke aayi hoom"

He leaned forward to the glass of water and handed it to her "lo paani pee lo!"

As she drank the water, he spoke "inn sab ke reason tum hi ho Sakshi….Mujhe chodh ke second choice ke baat tumne shuru kiya tha"

Sakshi: Maine toh aise hi mazaag kiya tha….

Arjun: [grinning] Whatever!….par ab mujhe sochna padega……condition ke isaab se tum ek minute late thi…

Sakshi: toh kya aap kisi aur ko dhoond lenge, huh??

Arjun: [after thinking for a long moment] dhoondna toh chahiye par kya karein….unfortunately, my first choice happens to be the best one!….and ACP Arjun Rawte deserves the best! What do you think? [winks at her]

Sakshi smiles at that naughty reply…..and encircles her hands around his neck!

"You just scared me Arjun!"

Arjun raises his eyebrows "really?? So there is something in this world that scares you!"

Sakshi: how can I afford to lose you Arjun?? isiliye toh yeh vrat sab rakh rahi hoom…..aapko aise hi mere paas rakhne keliye……

Arjun: [wiping away her lone tear] main humesha tumaare paas hi rehunga Sakshi……iss keliye kisi vrat ki sahaara lene ki zaroorat nahi hai….par phir bhi, its your belief and trust….aur main uss mein interfere nahi karunga…..par mujhe inn sab mein vishwas karne ko matth kaho, ok?

Sakshi: nahi kahungi…par mere vishwas pe aap bhi vishwas karenge na?

Arjun nodded hesitantly wondering what she was intending……

She didn't explain or justify anything further but she just thought to herself

"ek din aap bhi bhagwaan pe vishwas karenge Arjun!"

He sensed her deep thoughts and tried to lighten the situation……"ab woh sab baatein chodo aur mere Prasad dho…"

Sakshi rolled her eyes…."woh sab kabka khatam hogaya……I told you na…Shree ne poora dabba khaa liya….. aap keliye kal laa doongi…."

Arjun grinned, "nahi…..mujhe jo Prasad chahiye woh toh ab bhi tumaare paas hi hai….." [he touched her lips with his fingers lightly and winked at her making her blush while he added] "samjhi ya samjhaavum?"

He pulled her closer to himself without giving her time to realize anything…….As his lips touched hers, she melted totally and tilted a bit to respond to him……

Catching the clue rightly, he deepened it and kissed her passionately…….he continued nibbling on his Prasad fondly making her feel all his love and desire for her.……both cherishing the moments for a life time together!
