Beautiful update ! Loved the midnight b'day celebration.

And what a surprise you gave by making arnav barge into the room while the cake was still being decorated. Wasn't expecting that.

Loved how khushi's presence of mind came to the fore as she wished happy birthday in advance and others took the cue.

Loved how arnav secretly enjoyed the whole thing. Really felt sorry for him though. All his growing years, his b'days had been so disappointing, always under the shadow of the resentment and discord between his parents. No wonder he never enjoyed them.

So, this was the first birthday of his life which he really enjoyed.

And you've described the whole thing so well. And also arnav's realisation that he had been kiddish in his behaviour with khushi .. Liked that he decided to get on, but again khushi beat him to it. I think khushi did him a favour by taking the intitiative so that his pride remained intact..

ANd yes, i loved the way you described how he noticed khushi's lovely smile for the first time ever !

I'n the hindsight, that was probably the first time, in the glow of his birthday candles from the cake she was holding, that Arnav had noticed how beautiful Khushi's smile was.'

Now that he is rid of his prejudice, he will start noticing how beautiful khushi is not only from the outside but also within.

And glad thatKhushi too has realised that arnav is a good soul

complicated but good at heart. So thats good progress.

Great job. Eagerly waiting for the nxt update.

so finally they entered at least in a cordial relationship...loved karan and khushi and happy to know that arnav liked her gesture and he too aint cold but desperate to get some affection that he missed all his life...loved the update...thanks for pm :)

Wonderful update - I admire how economic you are with words and yet manage to convey everything!

One generous and kind gesture from Khushi's side, and their relationship has already moved several steps forward - friendship AND mutual respect.

And talking of talking, when she has one more living in soul to chatter with in the house, why should she not utilize the opportunity? Haha! 😆

I hope she takes complete advantage of this opportunity!

As of now, for all his bitterness, Arnav has understood Khushi's side of the story.. her handicap, her nature, her past and present. Khushi on the other hand it still pretty much oblivious to the emotional turmoil Arnav has been through in so many years.. I'd love to see how you get her to realise this and then bring light and joy into his life. I know I'm going too far, pardon me, I do tend to get carried away sometimes when I'm too excited about a story :D

Lovely update, loved it.

What a wonderful relation Khushi and Karan has, they were bickering over silly things, very comfortable together.

Khushi has offered an olive branch and surprisingly Arnav accepted it, she is acting very maturely and Arnav knows it.

Poor Arnav has never had a proper birthday before and this was the first time and he is going to remember it long time to come. He thinks Khushi looks beautiful in candle light... so he has not looked at her properly before and that's another thing he is going to remember as well.

Will be waiting eagerly for next chapter eagerly.

Mindblowing Awesome update... Finally Khushi took the initiative of ending the coldwar between her and Arnav by speaking to and offering him an olive branch and befriend him..Wow, she is the one who wished him first on his birthday. Great starting... So eventually both Khushi and Karan could get all the 30 candles on the birthday cake and lighted them..."In the hindsight, that was probably the first time, in the glow of his birthday candles from the cake she was holding, that Arnav had noticed how beautiful Khushi's smile was." Wow thats great, now Arnav has started noticing Khushi especially she having a beautiful smile in the candle light...Arnav thought that Khushi had organized this and that too only doing it too show her bade papa, but he still didn't want to ruin the show, eventually he realized that she genuinely wants to become friends and isn't doing it for the sake of his dad and what he just signed-up for, recalling her chatting sessions with his dad and buaji, on his acceptance of being friends with Khushi. Khushi had also planned a surprise family dinner on his birthday at a restaurant and he was in consensus with her plan

Well, he was glad that she initiated the peace-making and he accepted. If nothing else, she was atleast a non-complicated human being, so unlike him. And truth be told he really appreciated her enthusiasm for celebrating his birthday, and he knew he will cherish the last hour of his life, all his life. Arnav has decided that he will cherish the memories which he spent in the one hour celebrating his birthday with his new found family of Khushi, Karan, Buaji etc, especially khushi's beautiful smile in the glow of the birthday candles forever through out his life. Curious to see how their friendship blooms and relationship progresses from this stage onwards! and when Arnav realizes his love for Khushi...
