Chapter 47

Peace on its way!

Arnav fisted his hands as the room echoed with the miffled sobs of Khushi. how can she say, something like that? He thought as he ran his fingers through his thick hair, controlling the rage bubbled inside him.

"Khushi, I was not accusing you for anything, I trust you damn it"

He said pulling her into a hug. She hugged him back, crying onto his chest. He caressed her back, until she relaxed in his arms.

He slipped beside her on the bed, and she rested her head on his chest, feeling his heartbeats.

"Khushi, you know how it happened?"

She looked up at him confused. He wiped the trail of tears from her cheeks and kissed her forhead.

She hugged him close, her hands wounding around his waist possessively.

"You have been overdosed with a pill, I just saw your reports and they say that it was the juice you had for breakfast"

She stiffened and looked at him, her eyes welling up with tears.

"How foolish can I get, Arnav?"

She buried her face in her palms, cursing herself for underestimating that jerk.

"Samrat the detective had phoned me when I was waiting outside your room, stating the same that, his men had saw him at a drug store near to Karolbagh, and they had found out the prescription he had, it was for abortion tablets"

"Why would have he done this, Arnav? What he will get, by taking an innocent life, ?"

"He does not want you to get married to me, and he thinks that you being pregnant is the only reason I agreed for this marriage"

"Arnav, what are we going to do now?"

"You are going to take rest, because you are too weak to do anything, I'll take care of everything"

He said and stood up with a determined look on his face. He kissed her forhead before moving out of the room.

Khushi sighed, she knew her Arnav will make everything alright soon. She trust him, with her whole heart!

Lekhraj has asked Kittu to get ready for her marriage shopping., and Kittu had rolled her eyes with disbelief.

She was not aware of her father's funny ways.

She had laughed away sharing the same with NK. NK was all gaga over her, and so was she.

They were perfect for each other with less Hindi knowledge and a great apetite for bollywood movies.

They went for jog everyday and had Golgappes in the evening. Kittu was enjoying her life immensely and the sole reason behind a changed Kittu was none other than NK aka Nand Kishore.

Lekhraj twitched his nose as he found NK and Kittu sitting in the living area of Raizada Mansion watching "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge"

It was the climax scene of the movie, Amrish Puri's voice echoed in the living area "Jaa Simran Jaa, Jee Le Apni Zindagi"

Kittu blew her nose to the napkin handed by NK while he extended his hands to wipe her tears away. It broke his heart, even if it was for a movie.

Lekhraj could not take it anymore, here he was trying hard to match her with Arnav, and what she was doing? Enjoying movies with his nalayak cousin? And that too one of the rubbish romantic movies of the century.

He scratched his head with frustration and stood right infront of the TV screen blocking the TV screen.

"Dad, whats wrong"

Kittu whined and stood up from her seat, slightly sniffing.

"NK beta I want to talk you, its urgent"

He said and almost dragged him out of the room. NK followed him all confused by his behavior. He never had called him "Beta" what is so special today? NK thought and almost bumped to him.

"Ohh I am sorry Lekhraj Uncle" he said holding his ears.

"Stay away from Kittu, that is all I wanted to say"

He said and left from there, without sparing a second look to NK, who had his mouth and eyes wide open.

Arnav met with Samrat at a restaurant away from the city, for her further discussions on the plan. The man who had been hired to kill Sasi Gupta, had agreed to give his statement against Lekhraj.

Arna needed nothing else but see him behind the bars asap. For everything he had done with his Khushi and his family.

Not to forget about their baby. Arnav's eyes moistened at the thought of his unborn child, who he will never ever meet.

Samrat squeezed his shoulders re assuring him that , Lekhraj will pay for all his evil deeds very soon.

And they had just closed all those possible ways, through which he will try to escape.

Arnav felt relieved as Samrat assured him that the end is near for Lekhraj.

Neeraj had been following Arnav from the morning. His changed behavior with Lekhraj had caught his attention.

He just wanted to make sure that Arnav was not involved in anything with his Dad.

He parked his car little far from the restaurant and sat on the adjacent table, where Arnav was sitting with someone.

He eavesdropped their conversation and his eyes widened at the mention of Lekraj hiring someone to kill Sasi Gupta.

His head spun at the thought, and wiped the sweatbeads from his forhead vigorously.

He left the restaurant before Arnav and the man reached the parking.

He got inside his car and slid down the window when someone had knocked on the same.

"Hello Jiju, what a surprise?"

Arnav asked with a chuckle, and Neeraj sweat badly at the thought of being caught.

"Were you been following me?"

He asked seating on the passengers seat of Neeraj's car. He gulped hard, he never want another Misunderstanding with a person so close to his family. So his said what was right and true.

"Yes, because I was upset with your behavior with Lekhraj, I thought may be you too were with him"

Neeraj said biting his tongue.

"But after hearing your conversation, I think I am quite relieved"

"My detectives had already informed me about a stalker, who was following me from morning, and I had found out that its none other than you"

"Thanks Arnav, for trusting me, I hope Payal and others too does the same soon"

He said sadly looking away. Arnav patted his shoulder, smiling at him.

"They will"
