= Ch 31 =
The description of Raizada Mansion from Khushi's perspective, without really describing the architecture, was very beautifully done. It brought out the adoration and admiration which Khushi has for everyone in the house.
Inspite of being so rich and grand, Raizada Mansion has the warmth of a home.
Her gut feeling telling her that it was a new beginning for her was perfect in its execution. It was very natural for her to feel so and it fit in the moment.
NK and Anjali are always excited about Khushi.
So, NK has a penchant for suspense and poor Anjali is dragged into it everytime. 😛
Arnav's grandmother's entry scene was great. Your words effortlessly painted a picture of the aristrocratic old lady with great poise whose pride "was enough not to be called snobbish".
"Khushi Bitiya" must have felt like music to Khushi's ears. It had the ring of warmth and love of a family in it.
Arnav gave an indulgent smile while Khushi was hugging his grandmother. It felt as if he was satisfied and finally at peace to see how his grandmother welcomed his Khushi with so much of love and respect. It was like he took pride in the fact that his family loved Khushi as much as he loved her.
(I wonder why Arnav's grandmother's name is Sukanya and not Devyani.)
Nani's efforts to make Khushi comfortable and make her feel like she was at home, are praiseworthy.
Khushi's subtle apprehensive behaviour was normal. She must have got overwhelmed.
Atlast, she got to live with people whom she can call her own family with pride.
Their shared Past acts as a connecting link between them. The common sorrow of losing loved ones made them understand each other's grief with more empathy.
The simple act of Khushi showing her mamma's Payals which she was wearing was very nice.
Nani is such a sweet, old lady. I love her characterization.
Khushi talking to herself infront of Arnav's door was so typical of Khushi. 🤣
It was Khushi's first entry to Arnav's bedroom. 😉
Arnav's information database is very efficient. I'm glad that he got to know how Aman, the arrogant ass and Sheetal, the hag irritated Khushi.
The choice of sweets which Khushi made for Arnav and which Arnav claimed to love, are also a favourite of our darling author, hainaa? 😊
Arnav's innuendo of tasting the particular thing only if Khushi let him, was not lost on Khushi. It was so typical of Arnav. 😉
The short but meaningful romantic moment was so surreal that I wanted to be physically present there and witness it. You just wrote it that wonderfully! 👏
I seriously felt like smacking Anjali and NK.
But perhaps, some half-lived moments provide the thrill that can set fire to two souls crazily in love with each other but not realizing it in its totality.
I totally sympathise with Arnav. :P
Retold scenes of the show.
* Arnav greeting Khushi with a husky "Hi" just as he opened the door. He did the same thing on the show during the pre-wedding ceremonies of Payal and Aakash, just after the night of Sangeet.
* Khushi was blabbering and Arnav put his finger on her lips to shut her up. But it shut her sanity too. 😉
This scene was again a highly romantic scene that was shown during the early weeks of their marriage.
* A very hungry Khushi eyeing the Jalebi in Arnav's hand. This scene was similar to the scene where Khushi was eyeing Arnav's breakfast but couldn't eat because she was fasting for Karvachauth.
These retold scenes were very efficiently written keeping in mind the situation where they are. And it brought back the fond memories.
