Arnav was completely devastated, he turned around to look at kushi. Kushi lay seated on the floor, with her face covered. Arnav walked upto kushi and sat beside her. Kushi lifted her head and was surprised to see Arnav seated next to her.
"What now Arnav? What do you want from a girl like me?" Asked kushi
"Is this the best lie you could tell kushi?" Asked Arnav "if you had told me directly you didn't love me i would have gone away, but calling yourself something you're not is something i will not believe"
Kushi was feeling extremely hurt, she was feeling horrible since Arnav denied to believe the truth.
"Kushi since you said such a thing i had my patience, but if it was someone else i would have killed that person" said Arnav as he cupped kushi's face with his palms.
Kushi stood up. "Listen Arnav, I'm not a person who misleads others for my benefit, why on earth can't you believe what i just said, what the hell is wrong with you" shouted out kushi.
Arnav got up and walked upto kushi and held her by the hand. Both Arnav and kushi started off with a heaty argument.
"Do you wanna know what the hell is wrong with me dammit, then listen out, i bloody love you and you can't just walk out on me"
Tears poured down kushi's eyes "let go of me Arnav you're bloody hurting me"
"I will not let you go dammit"
"You're acting insane Arnav, just leave me" kushi tried pulling off her hands from Arnav's grip, but all in vain.
Arnav held onto kushi's hands tighter. Kushi twisted her hands and somehow escaped Arnav's grip. She started hitting Arnav on the chest
"who the hell do you think you're? How dare you lay your hand on me?" Kushi questioned.
Arnav gritted his teeth in anger."Why you behaving like this kushi?"
"I told you once Arnav and I'm telling you a million times, stay away from me Arnav, if you want me still, then pay me i will be yours"
Arnav was too annoyed that he slapped kushi.
"SHUT UP! YOU'RE BLOODY TESTING MY PATIENCE KUSHI"
Kushi held her cheek, not able to believe at what Arnav just did. Kushi picked her bag and ran down the stairway heading towards the door.
"Kushi, stop kushi, listen to me dammit" Arnav's plead was all invain, the only reply he got was the door banging. Arnav was too annoyed that he dashed the vase next to him.
Everyone at home came running towards him.
"Chote, what happened?" Asked anjali looking extremely shocked.
"Just leave me alone" saying this Arnav strode back to his room and banged the door close.

Kushi managed to find a place to stay that night at a motel.
Arnav paced up and down the room thinking, when he was disturbed by a knock on the door.
"Arnav it's me Aman, can i come in?"
Arnav walked upto the door and unlocked it
"Your Di told me everything that happened, but what went wrong Arnav?". Arnav explained the entire incident to Aman.
"How dare she call herself that Aman, if it was someone else i would have killed him". Aman walked upto Arnav and placed his hand on Arnav's shoulder.
"Would you kill me too Arnav?" Asked Aman. Arnav looked at Aman, feeling annoyed and confused.
"I'm sorry to have hid it from you Arnav, but i wanted to tell you everything, but i never thought it would be so soon"
"What are you talking Aman, are you in your senses?"
"It's your wish Arnav, if you wanna hear me out its all upto you"
"Go on, I'm listening Aman"
"Arnav you do know that kushi is from a village, she had come to this city looking for a job. Kushi was from a well off family, until the day it all ended"
Arnav looked up at Aman. Aman continued...
"Kushi's sister's wedding was called off with the death of their mother, her father lost his senses, since then they were in debt, kushi was the only person who was capable of earning for their family. Her brother is in college and her sister is nursing her sick father. So since she came into the city, she got a job at Rana's"
Arnav was surprised in hearing the name Rana
"Arnav, kushi and Rana were in a relationship, god knows what had gone wrong with them, but knowing Rana I'm sure something extremely horrible would have happened. Since then kushi was Rana's property, she is Rana's KUMKUM"
Arnav was shocked.
"A source from his office said that kushi and Rana share an intimate relationship to which she is paid for Arnav, with this money she treats her father, helps her brother with his studies and the rest are for her sister who runs the daily household chores, the saddest part is Arnav, her family does not know how She earns all this money."
Arnav now looked as if his entire world was collapsing.
"Aman, when and how did you get to know all this". Aman nodded at Arnav
"Rana going into kushi's house was the main reason why i dug into kushi's life more Arnav, and this is what i found out, i have not told anyone or your Di about it"
Arnav nodded "you did right Aman, coz i don't know how Di would react to all this"
"Good night Arnav" saying this Aman left Arnav's room...

Arnav went upto the poolside and looked up at the dark sky. It looked extremely dull compared to other days, no stars, meaning no hope.
"So you're kumkum, and you aur Rana..." paused Arnav.
Suddenly Arnav had a smirk on his face..."Where will you run away to kushi..."
