I recently re-discovered this story after a long while and imagine my surprise when I found 5 new chapters waiting for me! It was like receiving a present just because. Presents are always given for one occasion or another but this was a wonderful surprise! This will be a long review and might be scattered because I have five chapters worth of comments.
First thing I noticed was that Arnav and Khushi act like a married couple. They are not lovey-dovey all the time. They have their fights and they have their make-ups 😳. Perhaps insignificant but some of their dialogues have no impact on the story and could be removed but it made them real for me. One example, if I remember correctly, was when Arnav complained that Khushi took so long in the bathroom and Khushi dismissed it and told him to shut up and just go shower. Plot-wise, there was really no use for that little bit, but it made them more into a couple. Otherwise, it was like they were either making love (hot damn he has a lot of stamina!) or plotting against someone.
Khan shows no mercy to those who are wrong and it is expected because he was not shown mercy either. I'm surprised he hasn't done anything to avenge his love. I just hope he does not keep himself responsible for her death. He had good intentions but they were reserved for the wrong people. Khan is one of my favorite characters in this story. He is loyal but not blindly so and reserves his judgement to himself. He does not agree with everything Suraj does as was seen when he questioned how Suraj could love a married woman.
The game KBV and Suraj are playing are going to clash. They want to hurt the same person but they can't join forces because there is too much bad blood between them. I just hope Vijayendra does not use this to his advantage when he realizes who is sabotaging his plans. There cannot be two commanders on the same side implementing two different strategies. This could be used as an opportunity for the enemy to create misunderstandings.
Slowly but surely, Arnav and Khushi are talking about children without getting into an argument. They were talking about who would be the good cop and who would be the bad cop and how many children they wanted and even the gender. Khushi was content to know that her future did hold children and did not seem to pressurize Arnav by asking for a specific date. Arnav did not immediately change the subject or become defensive, as if waiting for Khushi to attack him with questions and demands. They were very comfortable with each other.
This is a very intensive story and I definitely need my thinking hat on to understand what's going on but I do admit that I get lost sometimes and do not fully grasp the importance of some of the strategies and subterfuge. The underlying meaning sort of flies over my head and I'm left saying 'huh?' and shaking my head😕. But! Eventually I do realize it. You have written a very complicated story and half the fun is in guessing what everyone's next move is going to be!
I don't know if you give out PMs or if we're supposed to stalk your index for updates, but if there is a PM system, please add me. The wait for the next update is only two days away but it's going to feel like 2 months. I am in compete stalker mode now😊
