Part 7.1 ' Loved the gentle humor at the very beginning where a desperate Arnav wants to know where Khushi's payal is and a half-asleep Khushi, not understanding his question replies she is asleep beside her, leaving a perplexed Arnav with his jaw dropping at the reply! The fun didn't abate, with Khushi frantically searching for a weapon and finally arming herself with her uncle's walking stick to keep the thief at bay. Her seesawing emotions are a treat! Just wish she had brained Arnav because he sure deserves it and this might even have shaken his brain up enough for him to realise where he was going wrong in the tactics he was using to win Khushi! Trust Arnav to make use of every chance to press up against Khushi, but she's no slouch, either' loved her rough and ready method of getting him away from her: just bite his hand! Awww, what images of the New Year's Eve episodes this scene conjures up! Khushi is so damn right about Arnav prowling around keeping an eye on his 'investment'. The ever-present witty repartees is another aspect of their relationship that you've depicted brilliantly. His heart must have been soothed to see his coat half-hidden under her pillow, reflecting the fact that she isn't as indifferent as she professes to be!
Part 7.2 ' Just love the fact that even in dire straits, Khushi doesn't back down before Arnav's high-handedness. She giving him a lecture about his teeth and the lion and lioness roaring at each other were sheer fun! Needing his help to clamber back through the window, after earlier having had to concede defeat, must have really riled her up! Her 'good bye' to his 'good night' had an almost final ring to it. In Arnav's case, actions speak louder than words: the gentleness with which he holds and seats Khushi on the table to place the payal round her ankle and her amma's bracelet round her wrist speak volumes of his love for her' if he would only accept and voice his feelings for her, their lives would be so much more smoother! A tickler of a turn of phrase: She panted as though breathing was going out of fashion. Arnav's near-panic and concern when he unwittingly hurt Khushi while sliding her amma's bangle down her hand were moving' that apology for hurting her reflects his remorse for all the physical and emotional hurt he has piled on her head till date! If only the poor chap could be consistent' his bipolar behaviour only leaves Khushi confused and hurt.
Part 8 ' The image of Khushi clutching Arnav's coat, unwilling to part with it is very touching' looks like she's using it as a means of security and comfort [strongly reminds of that kid in the 'Peanuts' comic strip who strongly clutches on to his blanket and doesn't let go of it at any cost]! Arnav needs to realise that apologizing to Khushi is only half the job done' unless and until he tells her what lies in his heart, he's not going to get her back' and for that he should introspect and accept the truth of his feelings ' that he loves her ' something he runs miles from! Arnav really suffers from foot in mouth disease: "Khushi, when are you vacating the house?" he asked. And then felt like kicking himself. He is his own worst enemy! When needed, his tongue and mind both let him down' imagine babbling about her job and co-workers, when all he has to tell her is that he doesn't want her to go. Panic spread its octopus-like tentacles through his mind. The simile is spot on! Then Arnav rashly promising to help Akash to get Mami to accept his choice of a bride, without first having found out who the girl was, is plain hilarious! His heart must have skipped a few beats at the prospect of Akash being in love with Khushi and wanting to marry her' it would have served him right if that were the case' it would have been sheer fun to watch Arnav wrestling with that dilemma! This seemed to be the day for shocks. He needs a few shocks to galvanise him into action. Arnav must have heaved a great sigh of relief to learn that Akash wants to marry Payal. Arnav has been served on a platter with the means to keep Khushi in Delhi, but for how long? Can't wait to learn what his sneaky brain is going to come up with next!
