Love how you have started off. The comparison. From how it was before, to how it is now..
How they have progressed from hate to indifference to affection and now love, to the point where their world revolves around the other person..
How times change! It was the same Arnav who she used to avoid like plague. Who she used call names. Whose absence used to give her peace of mind. And now, she is mopping around just because he had gone out of town for one day. Who would have thought that this man would become her heart and soul one day, that he would become her reason to live one day.
The part about her keeping the ji after his name was really cute..😆
I loved their conversation over the phone.Beautiful in its simplicity. How her love for him clouds every other aspect of her life. He comes first. Always has and always will..
What happened? Are you alright? Why would I panic? Arnav answer me' she questioned in a single breath.
'I am okay. I am talking to you right now, so I am alright. Isn't it?' he calmed her.
'ACCIDENT?' her mind exploded. Tears started pricking the back of her eyes.
I am at the helipad. But I am fine. You don't have to come' he assured yet again.
'Helipad? Why are you not at some doctor's? You are lying right? Swear on me that you are okay. Swear on the kids that you are okay. Hell how do you know you are okay if haven't shown a doctor yet. Why did you go to helipad? You should have come back home. Anyways, I am coming there' Khushi had by now gathered her purse, sandals and was rushing towards the main door, after signalling Savita that she is going out.
'I swear that I am okay' he felt the warmth gushing out of his heart at her love and concern.
'Mohanji, Raizada helipad. Fast' he heard her voice coming out of his phone.
'Okay. Ummm ... See you soon then I guess' he smiled into the phone.
'Do you want me to bring a doctor along?' she asked worried.
She could not possibly become a liability at this time, she has to be strong for him. She thanked all the Gods she could think of at that moment and instructed Mohan to drive faster.
Love how you write what is real. What is going on in all our heads, but you pen those unsaid, taken-for-granted emotions with an almost child like innocence, it's beautiful.
Like how we know Arnav will obviously be feeling over the moon with the attention Khushi gave.
He had secretly loved it that she did not believe him even once that he was okay and was rushing here to see that for herself.
I don't know if I'm making sense, but I hope I do..
Love how Arnav made sure that his employees and their families were okay before he called Khushi. That shows a lot.. His capacity as a leader. His care. And most importantly, his regard for families.
And I loved the next part.
How Manorama is a shallow, insensitive person interested only in climbing the social ladder..
Loved this para- While Mrs. Roy was saying something on the lines of how Akash praises Mr. Raizada, they all saw a blur of red whoosh past them and collide onto Mr. Raizada's chest. While the Roy family looked shocked and confused, not even sunshine could match the brightness that lit up in Mr. Raizada's eyes once he realized who it was. His arms wound up the female figure in their embrace as he started reassuring her that he was perfectly fine. After a while both of them realized three curious set of eyes on them and the figure slowly turned to face the people standing in front of her husband.
This is when his business mind comes into play.. Despite wanting to get the full details, I love how he was patient with Khushi.
Now what? That was the exact question hammering Arnav Singh Raizada's mind that very moment. Khushi's answer had said it all and his doubts were confirmed. So it was Akash Roy's mother who had dished out that crap to this innocent trusting soul who wanted to dine with her friend's family. His anger was gaining momentum with each passing second, but this was not the place neither the time to show it. He will tackle this with a calm mind in his own way he decided. What kind of a man was Akash Roy who invites people home and gets them insulted by his mother? Khushi will have to tell him EVERYTHING now. He'll make sure of it. Nobody gets away with insulting HIS Khushi.
It was a hectic day for Arnav and heavily emotional one for Khushi. Most of Arnav's time went into media statements and the situation was finally under control. Khushi refused to leave him alone and they came back home in the evening. After spending some time with kids, they slept like a log in each other's arms, forgetting all about annoying Manorama Roy. Or so Khushi thought.
It didn't matter that he could hire an investigator, he wanted to know from her what had happened. Not just for revenge, but also to comfort her..
Few days later, after a little cajoling and nudging Khushi also shared her humiliation with Arnav. What she thought would be very difficult was not that hard in the end. She did not know that she'll actually feel so nice after letting him in to her inner world. He listened to everything she said very intently, asking a few questions here and there. He soothed her by his words of wisdom that she should not let such people affect herself. He made the light of the situation by saying that he feels safe now that Akash has put her off by his spineless act. He told her that she has him and the kids and Roy's don't even matter in their beautiful world. That she was so precious and so special that he might just start believing in God for sending her in his life, making her smile fondly.
Can't wait for the next chapter..
Poor Akash. Having Manorama for a mother..
To hit her where it'll hurt the most. On her plans to get Akash a rich NRI wife!
Please update soon.
Thanks for the PM..
