oh god! what a thrilling update I so loved it

He stopped and turned and the moonlight cast its light on the man before him.

They spoke nothing for a while and though they were both masked, each knew who the other was.

"A soldier is always in need to be brave and daring," replied the General, and he nodded to the man, "Shouldn't you be inside with your family?"

"I am always there for them," said Master Gupta, and he looked around, 👏I love this line yes he is always there to protect them.

The other man shrugged and then, after a pause, looked at the General with a stern look in his gaze, "Stay away from my daughter."

There you go a protective father loved it

"I am her father, I will defend her to my death," promised Master Gupta.

The General snorted amusedly, "Father, indeed!" and then he looked at ground and grumbled in a low voice, "I despise fathers."

at this point I think there must be something Gen.'s father has done which caused this hatred towards fathers I dont know.

Master Gupta was amazed, "It's a pity you are going to be one!"

No doubt he can not be a worthy man to have fathered a child

The General glared at him, "Despicable things they are, fathers!"

"You are in quite a foul mood tonight," observed Master Gupta cautiously.

Intelligent man u r Master Gupta he is in fight with his curse form not to let surface it

Shashi Gupta stood rooted to the spot, and said calmly, "Not until you assure me that you will not harm my daughter or your wife, in any way, for any reason of yours, how ever justifiable they may be."

How nice of Master Gupta he not only seeks assurance of his daughter's safety but that of Anjali's too

"Well, since you breached the subject yourself and expect me to be truthful about it," the General looked pointedly at Shashi and added decisively, "I need your daughter."

What kind of need it will be? this question is causing my heart to constrict in fear... will it be a need of her presence through out his life or of her soul or heart or blood to get rid of curse??? only time will reveal

Thunder roared though the rain had not yet started to pour.

UNMASKED'.!!! OOo'. Who who who is going to be unmasked'? And by whom'?
*rubbing hands in glee*

The cold garden grass crunched when the hard boots of the General pressed on them as he walked to and fro in the garden. He was frustrated and he was trying to calm himself, his hands in pockets, occasionally running his fingers through his hair, as he marched about in the silent darkness near the lake which was almost at the rear of the Castle.

Entrancing beginning itself'. Shot starts with camera focusing his feet and the grass press by them' and slowly slowly it comes upwards.. as he is walking, at first we see his back and then a tensed face' whoa'. Thrilled..!!
On light note, while reading it in back of my mind the music was of entry music of 'Gabbar' of movie sholey' I actually imagine Gen as saying.. 'Kitne aadmi the'

Ahh' I feel the increasing heat here' in his voice, on his face, at his body language.. eveything is saying like.. 'Stay away, DO NOT interfere.. you don't know anything'
When he say 'NEW defender' does he referring Lordy and Nani as old ones? Why he say 'their' and not 'her new defender'?

Yaar, why this imaginary/created char are dumb sometimes' what was the need to tell him that he will say everything to everyone n all' he can do it without saying it to him to right'in TV shows n films also they show such silly things.. Oh god! I never ever able to understand this'

It turned me to a puddle of gooey mush,me too me too this chapter. My oh my, Arnav's kisses were all over my mind! Haiii!!!!*sigh*No wonder Khushi's legs felt weak.I felt mine too lolz crack is it? My heartbeat slowed down to a standstill, I tell you, in the process of taking in what was happening!

But you know what attracted me the most to this Chapter? It wasn't the perfect picture you drew of the room with single lit candle. It wasn't the usage of the mirror, or the fact that it totally enhanced the entire scene. It wasn't the description of Arnav's ministrations. It wasn't the narration of Khushi's response. It wasn't the shock of seeing it end incomplete. And it wasn't the blatant denial and defense in Arnav post-interruption.

It was this. This is the purity of love, in just one line. Yes, he accuses her, inspite of it all being his own fault. Yes, he denies his desire inspite of having succumbed to it minutes ago. But Arnav will never, ever deny Khushi his love and care because that is something that comes to him unconsciously. And I love that!

P.S. Why in the world did you cry, 'Make way!'? Did you not see us girls rushing to tug you inside? 😉
