I loved the inherent catch 22 situation you have brought out subtly in the story...Khushi already feels a lovely sense of domesticity and 'ownership' as regards Arnav and their small family unit...in her mind, they are already hers, their happiness means the world to her, and Arnav is very much on her mind as her future husband...She probably doesn't really question her own immense attraction towards him anymore, they're anyway gonna get married, and for her, she's at peace with the fact that she is 'going to' love Arnav as a natural progression of things..😊

If she really examined her feelings, she'd realize she already loves him, as his every thought and emotion matters so much to her..😊 Arnav, on the other hand, adores her with a fierce desperation, but is not able to see that she loves him back and has accepted their place in each others' lives...

Perhaps Akash not knowing about the engagement is good in an oblique manner? He'll probably declare his own feelings to Khushi over the dinner; or perhaps his mom will make some overt enquiries letting Khushi know she's thinking of her as a daughter in law, so Khushi will have to come out and say she's already committed 😊
