Virat was still dumbstruck. He was still not able to believe that he was going to be dad. he was so happy thinking that he will have someone who will be his part, his blood…who will call him dad…just thinking about it made chills run all over his body.…..but soon his smile….his happy moment got faded thinking about manvi. She giving birth to his baby was the last thing he ever thought in his life. Everything was so unexpected that he was confused a lot. He felt his ability of thinking got shrunken in black hole. He was feeling angry on himself for losing control over himself on that day.

Virat:- what was I thinking while doing this with her. It's entirely my fault. I would have controlled myself. How am I ever gonna face her now. I have ruined her life!!!!!!

Virat said feeling guilty…..

Next day morning…… manvi came down earlier in morning than usual. Sun was still about to rise….. She was dressed for work but her eyes were half closed and exhaustion could be read all over her face. She was not able to sleep even for a second whole night. All night the dream of that night haunted her like a nightmare.

She walked groggily over coffee maker and poured herself a full mug of coffee. She was still in deep thoughts that she didn't knew what she was doing. She was about to take a sip when Virat pulled the mug from her hand…. she looked at him angrily….

Manvi: - that's my coffee. If u want… u can make ur own….. Now like a good boy… give it back……

Virat: - u really want to drink it??

Manvi: - no…. I want to have shower with it!!! (She said sarcastically)

Aab khud ke liye banaya hai toh….. Of course piyungi…..

(if I made it for me…. that means I want to drink it….)

Virat: - k….. (Giving her coffee back) then why were u so angry on me yesterday on abortion thing… when u urself have made preparation for it…. (Pointing towards coffee)

Manvi looked at her coffee and as she registered what she was drinking her eyes went wide….. And she immediately kept it back on kitchen slab….

Manvi:- Omg!!!!! I forgot that I was pregnant!!!

Virat chuckled on her innocence…

Virat:- (shoving an apple towards her ) take this… its more healthy!!

Manvi:- (making a face) but Virat….. I don't like apples…..

Virat:- it's not for u…. it's for ou… I mean for baby…..

An awkward silence filled in room when he mentioned about baby….. Manvi took the initiative to break this awkwardness between them as it was not like them. She never wanted to feel awkward around him as they were friends and no any baby can change their relation between them….

Manvi:- Oye….. Tum sirf baby ki fikar mat karo…… pehle mein tumhari friend hoon…… so isliye…. Mein yeh apple nahi khaungi… and u can't force me…

(u cant care only for baby…. First of all I m ur friend….. so…. U can't force me to eat the thing which I hate….)

Virat:- manvi zid mat karo…. Chup chap kha lo…. Aur waise bhi tumhe takat (strength) ki bohot jarurath padne wali hai….

(manvi stop behaving like a kid. eat it…. it will give u strength….. which u will need it in future….)

Manvi:- kyu???

Virat:- hamare family mein aaj tak jitney bhi babies paida hue hai… unka weight almost 9 pounds se upar hi raha hai…..

(Because… in my family clan…. No baby weighted below 9 pounds …)

Manvi snapped out of her sleepy fog… and looked at him with wide open eyes….

Manvi:- u r kidding … right???

Virat:- (raising his brows…nodding) nope!!!

Manvi looked at her belly and she imagined herself with a big huge belly. Suddenly she felt her head spinning and everything getting blurred. Next moment she passed out. She was about to fall on ground but before that Virat caught her sidling his hand around her waist….. Balancing her on legs….

Virat patted on her cheek….

Virat:- manvi.. Manvi… are u okay???

After few seconds….Manvi blinked…..

Manvi:- did I pass out??

Virat nodded silently….

Manvi:- wow…. I never passed out before... (Smiling) but I have pretended many times during my school and college days… but it never happened for real…..

Manvi then noticed herself in Virat's arms…. resting her head on his shoulder…..

Manvi:- did u catch me???

Virat again nodded seeing her going on talking nonstop….

Manvi:- why did I pass out??? (Getting herself out of his arms)

Virat opened his mouth to say…but before he could say anything she changed her mind and stopped him indicating with her hand…

Manvi:- don't tell me… I don't want to pass out again…..

Virat giggled and moved back to work …… and manvi walked upstairs to get her bag and mobile….

Virat:- I hope ki meri bacchi apni maa pe na gaye ho….. kisiko bolne ka mauka hi nahi deti yeh ladki….

(I hope my daughter won't be like her mother…… this girl don't even give others chance to speak….)

Manvi was about to leave out when Virat stopped her…

Virat:- kaha ja rahi ho???

(where are u going???)

Manvi:- office… aur kahan jaungi…. Aur please apni ladli ko utha dena school ka time ho raha hai… (Looking towards her mobile) k…now I m getting late…. bye….!!

(As usual for office…. And please wake Ur angel…. she is still in bed. She will get late for her school…. (looking towards her mobile) k…now I m getting late…. bye….!!)

Manvi didn't give him a chance to speak… and turned around and started walking… when Virat suddenly stormed towards her and pulled her holding her arms and kept his one hand on her mouth…..

Manvi was shocked with his behavior….and she started resisting…

Virat:- just shut up…. Kitna bolti ho…. Kabhi kabhi kisi aur ki baat bhi sun leni chahiye….

U are not going anywhere. U just passed out few minutes ago… I don't want to take any risk. So till u get better u will not leave the house…….. isiliye…aaj office ko chutti….aur ghar pe baithkar tum aaram karogi….

(Just shut up…. Don't u get tired of talking continuosly….. sometime let other speak up as well…..)

Virat moved his hand from her mouth and snatched her bag and mobile from her….

Manvi was very angry on him…. and followed him towards kitchen… he put her things in a cupboard and locked it….

Manvi:- Virat…. mere chize mujhe wapas karo…. Mujhe office Jana hai….

(Virat…. give my things back…. I m getting late for office….)

Virat:- I said no… means… NO!!!!

And he got engaged in his work avoiding manvi….

Manvi:- aaj meri important meeting hai… I can't miss it…. please let me go….

Virat avoided her totally and let her speak till she could…. She started shouting at him and even punched him on his arms…. but Virat stood calm and kept doing his work as if she didn't exsist….

Lastly getting exhausted…. manvi joined hands….

Manvi:- please Virat…. I will come back in two hours….. Just let me complete that meeting its very important… please…!!! (Making puppy face)

Virat:- k…… but only two hours….!!!

Manvi:- (jumping like a kid) thank u thank u thank u….!!!!

Virat gave her bag and mobile but warning her again to be back in two hours…..

Few days flew away normally…. But they both still avoided thinking about baby's future… and most importantly their future…..!!!!

Ayesha was totally fed up with both of them. She tried a lot to bring that topic during table time or whenever they all were together…..but nothing worked as they used to divert topic very smartly…….

About month was gone by…..

It was weekend ….Ayesha was sitting in the living room watching tom and jerry as she missed seeing live in her house these days due to Manvi's pregnancy. Virat was making breakfast and manvi was still in her room getting ready.

Just then suddenly they heard manvi screaming upstairs. Virat came out from kitchen….

Ayesha:- Virat…. di…. (Getting scared)

They both ran upstairs and knocked her door…

Virat:- manvi… r u alright….. darwaza kholo manvi…..

Manvi opened door and they saw her crying…..

Virat was scared seeing her crying. He cupped her face and asked her panicking….

Virat:- kya hua??? R u fine….?? Kahin dard ho raha hai kya??? Should I call the doctor….??

Tears were still coming out of her eyes…..

Ayesha:- di.. Kuch toh bolo….

Manvi:- meri fav jeans mujhe fit nahi ho rahi hai….. I m getting fat!!!

Virat and Ayesha: - what??

Virat slapped his forehead…and Ayesha started laughing…..

Manvi got angry seeing Virat and Ayesha giggling… she moved towards her bed stamping legs …..

Virat:- (walking near her) its k manvi…. kuch mahine baad tum wapas pehen sakti ho unhe…..

Manvi:- but… they were my favorite…..aur mujhe aaj hi pehnana hai….

Ayesha came near Virat and whispered…

Ayesha:- lo….. di ke mood swings shuru ho gaye…. Now let's see how u will handle her…

Virat sighed looking towards Ayesha…..

Virat: - manvi…. what do u want to eat??? I'll treat u with whatever u like…. aaj healthy food ko chutti... K!!!

Manvi:- mein yahan apni weight ko lekar upset hoon aur tum mujhe aur mota banana chahte ho…. No….. I don't want to eat anything… u both just leave me alone…..

Ayesha:- magar di.. apne subah se kuch nahi khaya hai…. u should eat something…..

Manvi:- I said… just leave…..

Virat tapped on Ayesha's shoulder and signaled her to come out….

Virat and Ayesha walked out closing the door back…

Ayesha:- virat… di ke nakhre din ba din badh rahe hai…. what r u going to do now….??

Virat:- don't worry… jab wo apne iss shock se bahar aa jayegi tab khud hi aayegi niche….. khana khane…..

They both came down stairs when someone knocked at the main door… Virat opened the door. As he saw person standing in front of him…his anger started rising….

Virat:- what r u doing here???

Charles:- I came here to talk with u…..

Charles invited himself inside… Ayesha stood up looking at Charles. She too was not that happy seeing him here.

Virat walked near him and said only one word…..folding hands on chest….

Virat:- speak…..

Charles:- did u get to know about that bas***d… who ruined Manvi's life???

Suddenly Virat's face got expressionless hearing his question. He unfolded his hands and looked at ground. After thinking for a while…he spoke….

Virat:- that's none of ur business…..

Charles:- no…. u have to tell me…. or else I will not leave from here…. who is he??

Virat:- I said …. it's not ur business….. Manvi is no more related to u…. so u don't have any right to know about him…

Charles:- that means… U know about him… just tell me his name…..and I will walk out from here….

Virat turned around…… as he feared Charles would read his expressions….

Virat:- manvi don't have any problem with that man nor do I…. so ur opinion about that person is not that important…..

Charles moved towards Virat facing him…..

Charles:- what kind of friend u are…… u don t have problem with that man… who ruined ur best friend's life??...

Virat kept looking at ground remaining mum….

Charles:- ur silence won't help u….. Just tell me his name….

Virat:- Charles…. Don't make me kick u out….. Just leave from here politely…..

Charles:- u r behaving as if u r the one…who is responsible for her pregnancy…..

Virat looked up at him with his eyes wide open……

Charles looked at his changing expressions and something snapped in his head….

Charles:- don't tell me its u…..

Virat looked down guiltily closing eyes….

Charles eyes filled with rage. He stormed towards Virat and caught his collar…..

Charles:- how dare u do this to her…… I will kill u….

Ayesha got scared seeing Charles getting hyper on Virat….. She was about to move near them when Virat stopped her nodding…. And he saw towards angry Charles….

Virat:- listen Charles….…..

Charles:- now what u r gonna say…. That u r sorry or u r not responsible for whatever happened….

How disgusting of u….. U ruined Ur own best friend's life….

Virat shrugged out Charles grip from his collar… and pushed him back…

Virat:- (pointing finger towards Charles) it would have not happened if u would have been loyal with her all along. That day manvi got herself drunk because of what u did with her and to stop her I had to finish the drink…. And after that whatever happened I m still unknown with it. I don't remember anything……

Indirectly u are responsible for whatever happened with manvi….

Charles:- listen…. I didn't cheat her at all. I still love her…..

Virat:- shut up….. I m not manvi to believe Ur filthy lie… just get out from here…..

Charles:- saying that I m responsible won't make u less guilty. If I m indirectly… then u are directly responsible for her condition…..

Virat:- I know I m more responsible….. And don't worry I won't leave her and go, just like u did.

Charles: - that means u r getting married to her???

Virat stood numb hearing about getting married to manvi. He never thought about it. He was responsible for it and it was his duty to take her responsibility. He wondered why he never thought about it…. the vary thought of marrying manvi made his heartbeats run faster.

Virat:- (thinking)yeh kya ho raha hai mujhe….. mein… manvi se shaadi…..!!!!!

Virat's trail of thoughts was broken by Charles voice…..

Charles:- so…. Ur silence is telling me that u don't want to get married with manvi. (Thinking a bit) it's ok….. I will… I will marry manvi and even love Ur child as my own…. I will fulfill every responsibility of being a good husband as well as…good FATHER!!!!

Virat's eyes went red in anger hearing Charles saying himself father of his child……

Virat:- (in loud voice) how dare u think like that……. I never ran away from my responsibilities. Manvi and OUR (emphasizing on our) child is my responsibility… I m father of her baby…..u don't have any right on them……

and my answer for ur question is YES…. I will marry her… u got that…..
