Juhi this must be the third or fouth time I'm reading this. The story is awsomingly brilliant and Khushi showing her manglesutra to Arnav and asking him to make it real is one scene from all the FFs I have read over the last year I remember with clarity. In this story Khushi was indeed lucky and he left her without ripping from her the only posession a girl has to give to the one she loves. Many girls/women across the world have experienced such violence.
One thing that got me though this time was the police men who had come to see her the first time. I saw a pseudo chat show a few months ago with Amir Khan as the host. I cant remember the name and would probably spell it wrong anyway. The show basically told of how rape victims are treated in India, right from the police force who dwaudle losing precious time collecting evidence, to male doctors who essentially have to examine the victim and ask about their previous sexual history, which is then used in court, if it ever comes to that. The court then assumes that it was the victim that lured the man/men to do what they did. Victims from mere toddlers to grandmothers all go through the same horrific victimisation again and again, the show left me in shock and tears, living in the UK has really buffered me of the harsness of life in India.😡

As for Shyam yes I believe he was mental enough to do what he did and by writing this story from Arnavs point of view was in itself a brilliant thought. Khushi would speak to herself and therfore to us, but Arnav only spoke of actions and through his expressions, cudos to BS for this character, he brought it to life far more than any other actor could have. Your writing brought this story to life. 👏 👏 👏
