Just finished reading the 4 chapters. Arnav is such a b*****d! I do actively dislike him! Much as an angry, handsome rake sounds and looks good - they're a nightmare to live with.
The tragedy is that there are enough and more men like him and even many more unfortunate women who end up being in the position Khushi is and end up capitulating to horrible demands like Arnav made - simply because they run out of options.
At one level I am disappointed in Khushi - I guess simply because my mind still thinks of Khushi as she was portrayed in the serial - strong and someone who wouldn't compromise. But the reality is that so many women do succumb. I guess her love for her father was way stronger.
Though I would like to think nothing finally happened and at the end of the day Arnav is not that much of a cad! Because at the end of the day, no matter what he does, how much he ends up loving her, it will never take away the disrespect that he accorded her in the first place.
Actually, this just left me wondering - is it really possible to fall in love with someone who has effectively treated you like a w***e? Is that the extent of self-respect that a woman has? Or is the opportunity to redeem her name in society powerful enough a reason to make that compromise?
Lots of questions, would love to see where the story is headed and how you deal with them.
