"Hey… I wanna ask you something… don't mind but…. do you have a boyfriend… I mean are you seeing someone…?" Veer asked her reducing the distance between them and coming close to her.

"WHAT…?" she was absolutely startled by his question…. "ho….how does it matter to you…look please don't interfere in my personal life…." She tried to recollect herself and said.

"Come on…now stop being so introverted…. I mean let's just…. Be quick…what about a date…?" Veer continued his creep talk to her, and now so close to her that the little moonlight too was blocked in front of taani because of the six foot monstrous structure of veer.

"Enough…enough is enough…." As this time taani pushed him really hard and he stumbled and hardly saved himself from a fall.

"Look you are our guests… but that doesn't means that you can do anything…especially being so indecent…. Don't even dare to come in front of me now…do you get it now…?" Taani's patience was up to the brim now, and she now warned in a harsh tone.

To be pushed by a girl… to be stumbled by the push of a girl….. it was something which was totally unacceptable in his life… how dared she…? So much attitude…. She should be even be grateful to him, that he was giving attention to her…. All the girls were following him and he….she has to pay for this… he'll tell her place…

"Enough….?hmmm…. I'll tell you when I come to myself then what I am…?" Veer vented in anger and grabbed taani hard by her shoulders, so hard that his fingers were digging her soft skin, instantly leaving the blue marks of his ruthless hold on her, and which brought tears in her eyes.

"Leave me…please….leave me…" she tried to say through her tears and her sobs….

"Why….hmmm….where's your attitude now…? I will show how to behave….you dared to push me…hmm…" he said while clutching her hair hard, entwining his fingers in hair hard, pulling her to himself, she crashed in his chest, one hand still on her arm, harshly squeezing it, while taani continuously tried to free herself…..

*Rey*

"Yeah….swayam…don't worry…. They said that it's gonna deliver in 10 minutes…. I'll see you afterwards…okay bye." He completed and walked towards kitchen to see if everything was fine, because this time he had insisted to assist Taani…. Although he was hardly happy…. To assist her, or not…anything could hardly make him happy…until he and taani could smile, laugh and be with each other together…but it was just a dream…a wish, a dream which could never come true…. "How can it ever come true…when she hates me so much…?? Why can't I just stop thinking about her…. She's like… like a part of my soul…. Which is away from me…. But what can I ever do when….when…she doesn't want anything….she can't even stay smiling in my presence….she dislikes me, she hates me….she… but I need to go to be with her…. That veer and gang….they would come again with their stupid demands."

Rey went to the kitchen but saw that it was closed so he turned his steps back then something came in his mind…. "I guess now I should do something…. Taani has been working all alone….she looked so exhausted…. Yeah…" thinking so he opened the door…. And the sight made his blood boil in rage, he felt his anger, fury, rage up to the brim and now oozing out from his veins….

Veer had held a protesting taani as hard as he could, his one hand was intertwined in her hair, his other hand on her arm constantly pulling her towards himself, and he was about to capture her lips….

Veer tried to kiss her luscious supple lips but he couldn't move his lips further, rather he felt some pain in his head as if someone has hold his hair. He was irritated, what has happened now….but before he could move and see himself, Rey pulled him with a jerk, separating him from taani and a punch from the victim of inevitable pain from Taani's tears and blinding rage, was enough to knock him out of his senses.

He tried to give a blow to rey, but rey stopped it in between, and kicked him hard in his stomach which made him shudder and he had to take the support of the wall to prevent himself from falling. But as he saw rey coming towards himself, he ran towards the exit and instantaneously came out and shut the door behind himself.

Rey saw taani and his heart sank for a moment…. He became numb, he was just a lifeless statue…. Taani was crying there…. Tears were dripping from her eyes, she could hardly breathe through her sobs….he went close to her and looked at her.

As he saw her tearful eyes he felt as if someone has pierced his heart, and when his eyes noticed her bruised arms, clear fingerprints, blue black marks on her arms by veer's rough handling, her ever expressive swollen eyes were showing clear fear….something crushed his heart, brutally….he felt as if someone has hit him by a heavy iron rod, as if someone has sucked out all the life from his body, for a moment he was numb, his heartbeat was lost.

After staring her few minutes, he remembered that before him, she needed support…. It was she who had witnessed all this…. Who had gone through all the assault…. He extended his hand towards her face, carefully, to wipe her tears.

But Taani shrugged his hand off. She was still in shock…. Her heartbeat was still unstable….she was there, almost like a lifeless statue. She still stood there, crying in fear, tears constantly falling from her eyes, which were rather shining on her face as pearls in the dim moonlight of the night.

"Taani…" Rey softly whispered, which probably she even hadn't heard as he said it very softly, but something from her inner consciousness made her look upwards, towards his face. She looked into those mesmerizing brown eyes, and something overcame her.

Taani clinched rey, tightly…. As close as she could, she buried her face in his shoulders….. "Rey"….she could say only one word through her sobs…. "Rey… Rey…." She clutched his shoulders tightly digging her fingers, hard…. Clinging to him for her dear life….

Rey felt as if his skin was burning harshly as taani's tears soaked his shirt and then reached to his skin. Nothing in the world could hurt him like this…. He felt choked….as if someone has tied him up to a chair, and shut him in a dark, infinite, solitary room….. lonely.

After few moments which seem like years of torture, he came back in senses, and cocooned taani in his arms, in himself….as close as he could have her by his side…. His one hand was at her waist, other at her back, pulling her more and more towards himself….Taani too hugged him more tightly, leaving no space between them….

Magically, both of them forgot everything…..they remained in each other's arms…..with a desire that world should freeze now…. Both felt protected, safe from any kind of grief, sadness or unhappiness.

However Rey came out of trance and he pushed taani a bit, still in his arms but a bit reducing the closeness. Then he looked at her bruised arms, he touched them lightly, feather touch, afraid that his touch could hurt her more….

Taani looked at him with teary eyes…. Rey's eyes met hers…..She was so much in pain…. Her eyes were reflecting every shred of fear and pain she had witnessed…. But Taani felt much relief when she felt feather touch of his fingers on her arms, tracing the marks so lightly, feeling her skin which had swollen and clearly was black blue due to the bruises.

She took his hand and let it touch her wounds, she felt as if it was healing the touch…. Her pain was reduced much with his touch, or probably the feeling of love, care and protection had overcome the pain and fear. She let his hand on her arm feeling the caring warmness of his touch, closed her eyes and rested her head peacefully on his chest.

On the other hand Swayam had met the delivery guy and he was coming to the kitchen first. When he reached, he found the door shut, he opened it and saw taani and rey. He stepped in, a bit shocked, reaching quite close to taarey, although they were still in hug, but not so close luckily….he looked at rey with questioned gaze, but suddenly lights came.

Sudden brightness made taani separate from rey's body, then she looked at Swayam. Now Swayam saw her teary eyes, as if she has been crying for so long…. Then he noticed the marks at her arms…. He was shuddered for a moment…..as if someone has hit him hard, crushed him hard.

"Who did this….?" These were the only words which came from his lips….

He was so enraged, fury was dripping from his body….his body was shivering vigorously with anger….no one could think that Swayam could be so angry ever….. he whispered again intensely this time, pulling taani towards him…. "Taani….how did this happened….?"

Taani instantly hugged him tightly and words came on her lips…. "Bhai…vo…. Veer came and then…."

She couldn't complete next…. Swayam pulled her face upwards, caressed her face, her hair, kissed her forehead, and taani felt a tear on her cheek. Swayam was crying, but it didn't reduced his anger….
