"What?" Her mouth formed perfect O shape

"Yeah, what's so shocking about it!" Lavanya tried to defence herself from her ranting

"Shocking! You and Anuj get married and you're asking me what's shocking" Khushi gritted and threw the cushion to her which she perfectly caught

Khushi came to see Lavanya after her university is over. She did not go to office as Arnav asked her to resign and concentrate on her studies only and now she cannot deny anything to him

"Ok … Ok I am sorry, I should've tell you but you were on your honeymoon so I ….."

"That was not honeymoon" Khushi quickly cut her but now Lavanya got the point to tease her

"Really then why you're blushing and you are looking healthy" Khushi could not help the red color on her cheeks, as his possessive voice echoed in her head

"No one except me has the right to hold you, touch you"

"Hello" Lavanya waved her hand in front of her eyes, "Now you're day dreaming about your husband and here you are ranting me on getting married"

She came out of her thoughts and threw another cushion which hit Lavanya, "Shut up, It's nothing like that" More than Lavanya she was like telling this to herself

"By the way when you and Anuj are married now, you guys have to do the dinner with us in our house" Forgetting all Khushi happily invited Lavanya and in happiness she didn't notice the changing expressions of her

"Hi" Arnav was in a meeting in his cabin when he heard the cheerful voice, he turned to see a smiling Khushi at the door. Other attendents of the meeting also turned their heads to the door at the intrusion and Khushi felt nervous at it.

"Sor …. Sorry" Afraid she was about to move out when Arnav stopped her

"Khushi wait" Gazing down she stopped

"Ok Gentlemen please excuse me, Mr Aakash will take over the meeting" Khushi looked up at him surprised as he said this and came to her

"Aa … aap …. You should continue with the meeting …. Hum ….." but he again interrupted her

"No Khushi, nothing can be prior to you" Holding his hand he take her with him oblivious to his staff's gazes

They were coming downstairs when they have to see the man who was a hinderance to their happiness. Khushi's clutch on his hand becomes strong but Arnav ignoring Shyam just passed from the sides

"How long you'll guard her, I'll steal her from you and I'll mark her as mine forever" Shyam smirked inwardly before climbing up the stairs

"Why did you come here" Arnav asked her trying to keep his nerves calm and opening the passenger door for her

"Wo …. I … I ….." She stuttered fearfully as the image of Shyam smirking flashed in front of her eyes and sitting on the seat she clutched Arnav's hand who was about to close the door

He looked up at her face and it took him an instance to understand she was scared

"Khushi" He called softly and Khushi lifted her eyes to look at him, He could see tears glistening in her eyes

"I am with you" He pressed her hand assuringly and in a moment all her worries gone and she was bearing a smile on her lips

Arnav was relaxed to see her smiling and thus leaving her hand, he came to the driving seat

"But Khushi why at home? I mean we can give them dinner at some restaurant or ….." Khushi wasn't expecting Arnav to react like this way, She can't see any problem inviting Lavanya and Anuj at home the why Arnav was resisting

"They are my friends and I can't give them dinner at any other place when I can do it at my house" She said not liking his idea at all

"But …. You can ……" Before he could proceed Khushi stopped him

"I know you don't like Lavanya, don't worry she is not coming to show you her face everyday, Just one day, can't you do this much for me" She said pouting and a smile automatically crept Arnav's lips seeing her childish tactics

"OK fine, you can invite them" He finally agreed

"Umm … I actually … I invited them already" Khushi said a bit apprehensively and Arnav rolled his eyes

"Then why are you pretending to seek my permission?"

"Because you are my husband and also I knew that you will agree" Arnav felt his heart beat stopping at her mention of him as her husband, it was first time she acknowledged this relationship

Does this mean she was accepting this relationship? What if again because of her hopes she left broken? And what if she had again heart …….

No, he cannot think this way, he has to keep her happy, to protect her till she become able to do all it by herself

After having their dinner, Khushi asked him to have some ice cream. They just came back home after almost two hours pointless wandering in the streets

"I swear Khushi, I never thought one day I have to do all these stupid and childish acts to please someone" said Arnav throwing himself on the bed and yawning lazily

"So, every husband has to do all this for their wives" Khushi said sitting on her side of the bed setting her pillows

"Whatever, I am so tired that I ….." His eyes were drooping but next moment left wide opened as he heard her scream

He realized as he adjusted his vision that lights just went off and out of her fear from dark she screamed

"Khushi relax, I am here, generator will be on in a minute, calm down" Comin close to her he held her trembling form and embraced her to calm her

"Ar … Arnav … ji … do …. Don't lea … leave me" She gripped his shirt tightly which made his grip a little hard on her shoulder

"Khushi relax" At the moment the light came and Arnav tried to pull her away

"See light has come" He looked down at her who refused to open her eyes

"Khushi" Arnav said softly and gently parted her from himself still holding her from shoulders, "Open your eyes, I am here with you"

She slowly opened her eyes and then again hide her face in his chest

"Can … can ….. you …." He understood what she was trying to say, Sighing he holding her like this lie down on bed with her

"Yes" As he whispered, Khushi felt relieved and closing her eyes slept peacefully in his embrace
