"I know and I understand why you dont want to marry Arnav and honestly I am okay with that" said Dr. Raizada over breakfast on a thanksgiving morning.


"Where is this going?" Arnav's eyebrows shot up.


"Your sister refused the last proposal. She is stubborn, she said she wont marry until you do..."


"So you want me to marry?" Arnav asked sharply.


"No. I dont want you to do anything you dont want to but it would be nice if you just start thinking about the prospect of having a girl in your life..." he tried to explain.


"No dad I cant. I am really sorry but I cant and you know why I cant" he said in a monotone.


Dr. Raizada looked at his son as he gulped down the remaining milk from his cereal bowl. His eyes did not hesitate or flicker once...he was dead serious. In defeat his shoulders sagged and he resumed to his cup of tea.


"Whatever is best for you" Dr. Raizada sighed, "I am getting old and you kids...what would your mother be thinking right now..."


"Dad mom is gone. She was gone long ago and she is Not keeping an eye on us from the heaven. I am not Anjali" Arnav rolled his eyes.


"Well I tried! Anyways the thanksgiving dinner is at the Gupta's tonight as usual. Are you going to come?" he asked changing the topic.


"Maybe" he murmured.


"You come every year. You come eat and leave. Try to be a little nice for a change and hang around for some time. It is not good manners..."


"Oh dad. They're cool with it. They know how I am"


"No they dont know how you are. They just ignore you because you are my son."


"Fine fine I'll sit around for a bit. Now lets not go deep into that conversation"


"Oh great so you are coming"


"I uh umm I...oh yes of course I am! Their food is too good to be missed on!"


"It is isnt it? After all ten different girls are involved"


"They are quite a family arent they?"


"Yes they are! If only Anjali or you married we could have a family too..."


"Dad!" Arnav exclaimed.


"Okay! Okay!"


My sister is the most crazy brat. She knows exactly why I wont marry and she doesnt care. People my sister and my relationship isnt exactly a normal sibling relationship. We...nothing. What just happened is one of the many reasons I dont like to be home. I need destress, gotta go find Zeno!

"WHO THE HELL IS HOMY?!" Garima yelled in Khushi's ear making her jump a foot in her chair.


"Uuhhh...he...um...Ma I dont know" stammered Khushi.


Oh boy she was in trouble...in deep trouble.


"You are so lucky your papa is not home!" she snarled.


"Ma I can explain" Khushi cried.


"You better start now young lady"


I loveee my mom, I adore her, she is my soul reader, my psychic, my mind reader, my everything! One thing I cant do with her is share my feelings. Thank god she understands me so well, if she didnt it would have been a problem! Now wish me luck people, Khushi Kumari Gupta has to talk to her mother!


"Maaa he is an online friend" Khushi twisted her hands in her lap as she talked to the ground"


"Look up at me!" growled Garima.


"Maaa I was bored during summer. I really didnt think it would stretch so far..." her lips quivered.


"Kya?! What do you mean this far? Hai Devi Maiyya! What have you done you young lady? Tell me everything Khushi before things get worse and your papa and I wont be able to show our faces to people...forget people...we wont be able to show faces to family!" cried Garima holding onto her head.


"Maaa dont yell at me!"


"Dont yell? Why would I not do that? You deserve a slap"


"I am sorry Ma please forgive me! I promise I will stop!" tears started to fall down her cheeks.


Garima cooled down the instant she saw her daughter's tears, "stop now, its done. Its past...I doubt you did anything bad, you are smart enough not to or atleast I think" and she took her in a tight hug.


"You know Khushi when I was your age I was a romantic fool too. You dont know how many romance novels I have read and how much I used to day dream! You are like me my baby. From experience I am telling its all just a fantasy. Real life is not all about hearts and flowers. Look at me, I got married to your papa...the most unromantic man!"


"Come one now go freshen up. Dont you have to make something for tonight? And what is this site you chatted on? I will ask your cousin to delete everything...I dont want any stranger to have any sort of information on you! Such a stupid thing to do!" she shook her head in disappointment.


"Okay. Biscuits...I am making biscuits and Payal is making her pumpkin cake" Khushi sniffed and rubbed her runny nose on her ma's dupatta.


Ugh how embarrassing. If you guys bully me or tease me or comment anything mean I will stop telling you guys my thoughts! Some time ago I thought I was guilty but not ashamed...wrong..I am both!


Alright people I have my fingers crossed for the next chapter. Hopefully the track will kick in!! All you readers thank you so much for sticking with me through no arnav khushi together chapters! I just wanted to build characters before I put them in scenarios! :-)
