Anjali had just resumed her work when the doorbell rang again. Anjali(thinks): Who must've come now,at this hour?
She turns off the gas & goes to answer the door.
Anjali(stunned): U?..
Rakshit(smiles): Yeah,me!
His youngest cousin Namrata peeped from behind his left shoulder.
Namrata: And me too,bhabhi!
Anjali: Namrata?!
They hug.
Rakshit: Surprised?
Anjali: Ya.. I mean.. very surprised! U both came here.. so suddenly.. I mean, is everything alright?
Before Rakshit could answer..
Namrata: No,its not bhabhi!.. From the time bhaiyya came home after seeing u off at the airport,his smile had vanished!
Anjali blushes.
Rakshit(reprimands): Shut up!
Namrata: No,I wont! And certainly not in front of bhabhi! I'll tell u bhabhi about his condition once u left for Delhi! Niether was he talking to anyone nor was he listening to what others were saying

Namrata: How will we know, bhabhi?We'll come to know about it only once we see her! We came here directly from the airport!
Nani(coming towards the door): Areh Rakshit babu,Namrata bitiya! U both here? Rakshit & Namrata greeted naniji.
Nani: Be happy! Plz come inside.. Hari Prakash, bring water for the guests..
Anjali: Excuse me..
Nani: Where r u going,bitiya?

Nani: U sit here. I'll take care of the kitchen work.
Rakshit: I'm really sorry, naniji! We.. came at the wrong time..

They left the couple alone in the living room.
In the kitchen,HP offered water to Namrata.

HP left for the kitchen while PaYash left for ArShi's room.

Khushi burped loudly after finishing the breakfast.
Arnav(smiles): Holy!
Khushi(confused): What happened?

Khushi: Tell me! Y r u smiling like that?
Arnav: U never fail to amuse me! By looking at u.. as in urbody noone will b able to guess that u're sucha foodie! And..niether will anyone b able to guess that u burp so loudly!
Khushi(frowns): R u making fun of me?
Arnav(shakes his head): Of course not! Come here..
Arnav pushed the coffee table away & Khushi sat on his lap.
Arnav: When u were so hungry,y did u refuse to hav breakfast when I told u to do so?
Khushi: Bcoz.. I thought u wont allow me to have cold food. And.. I didnt want anyone to know downstairs that.. I did not hav my breakfast.
Arnav: Y?
Khushi: Bcoz.. if di would ask me about it,what would I tell her?
Arnav: But Khushi,everyone wouldve got to know about it once u took the plate downstairs,isnt it?
Khushi(realizes): Areh haa! I never thought about it this way!
Arnav(tweaks her nose): Tubelight!
Khushi makes a face.
Arnav: Now that u've had ur breakfast.. u should take ur pills..
Khushi: Yes.I'll take them right now itself!
Khushi was about to get up when Arnav held her arm.
Arnav: Wait!
Khushi: Now what?
Arnav: Next time u're hungry u eat,without bothering about who thinks what! Its ur house! U can sleep whenever u want,eat whenever u want.. (smirks) burp whenever u like!
Khushi smacks his arm before getting up from his lap.
Khushi: If everyone starts thinking like u,Hari Prakashji will resign!
*A few minutes later*
There is a knock on the door.
Khushi: U do ur work. I'll see who it is..
Khushi's heart starts beating faster when she finds PaYash outside the door.
Khushi: Jiji.. jijaji.. What.. happened?..
Aakash: Khushiji.. is bhai there?
Khushi: Ya.. plz come..
Arnav: What happened Aakash? U.. came home so early from office?
Aakash(thinks): I told Paayal that I'll talk to bhai. But.. what shall I say to him?
Paayal answers on his behalf.
Paayal: I've called Aakash home.
ArShi share a worried look.
Khushi(shocked): Jiji u called him?.. y?
Paayal: Coz I wanted to talk to him. And now,Aakash wants to talk to Arnavji.
Aakash: Bhai woh.. a.. actually..
Arnav: U can freely ask whatever u want to,Aakash..
Aakash: Bhai.. Paayal and.. Khushiji hav a very big confusion. They feel that.. u got me to sign divorce papers.
Paayal(interrupts): What feel?I know for sure that he got u sign those!Isnt it Khushi?
Khushi(nods): Yes.. and jijaji.. u'd signed those papers.. in front of me..
Aakash: No Khushiji! I havent signed any such papers! U surely had a misunderstanding. I will never think about divorcing Paayal,not even in my dreams!
Khushi(thinks): Hey Devi Maiyya! Did.. Arnavji.. make.. jijaji sign those papers,without letting him know that.. they were divorce papers?

Khushi(thinks): Y is Arnavji lying to jijaji?

Arnav saw the look of doubt on his wife's face & the look of faith & pride on his brother's face.
He knew that solving his wife's doubt would mean losing his brother's faith.
Before he could say anything Paayal intervened.
Paayal: Forgive me,Aakash! But I dont believe him anymore.
Aakash(shocked): What r u saying,Paayal?
Paayal: I respected Arnavji a lot till yesterday. I thought of him like a brother. But after what I heard today,I've lost faith in him. Do u even know what he's done? He forced Khushi to sign a contract & marry him for 6 months. And when Khushi refused to do so,he blackmailed her! He told her that he wont allow our marriage to take place if Khushi doesnt agree to marry him!
Aakash is shocked beyond measure.
Paayal: U tell me Arnavji,is this not true?
Arnav: It.. is true..
Aakash is shattered.
Paayal: Now did u hear this,Aakash?(to Arnav) Now tell us what were those papers on which u got Aakash's signature, in front of Khushi?
Arnav: Those were Nainital deal's papers.
Now its Khushi's turn to b shocked.
Paayal(equally shocked): Deal papers?.. But Khushi,u said that those were divorce papers..

Arnav took a deep breath before answering.
Arnav: I wanted u to come home. At all costs. Thats y I made.. this plan. I told u that I've asked Aakash to sign divorce papers. When u called Aakash, he asked u to meet him in Lotus cafe. I knew about it. Thats y I also reached Lotus cafe,so that Aakash would think that I've come to meet u &.. u would think that I've come to make Aakash sign those divorce papers. Mr. Roy was also present there. Hence u believed that those were.. indeed divorce papers. Then I..

Arnav manages to nod.

Arnav: Coz I wanted to save di's marriage!

Arnav tells him everything-from what he saw on the terrace,his confrontation with Shyam,Anjali's pregnancy report & his decision to marry Khushi in order to keep Shyam away from her.
Aakash: Bhai what did u achieve by doing all this? There was no change in Shyam. And.. di lost her baby. I dont mean to offend u,but I feel that.. had u told me & our elders about it & had we all come to a decision regarding Shyam, it wouldve been much better..
He walks upto Khushi who's in tears.
Aakash: I'm.. so sorry Khushiji! U agreed for the contract wedding in order to save our marriage. U had to bear the wrath of both the families & also society's humiliation.. I dont really know.. what I should say to u? All I can say is.. I'm really sorry!
Arnav: Y r u saying sorry,Aakash? I should b the one to say sorry to all 3 of u.. I'm very,very sorry! I agree,I took this decision on the spot. Had I thought about it with a cool head, I may hav come to a better decision. But.. the situation was such that.. I did whatever I thought was right.
Paayal: U forced me sister to marry u in order to save ur sister & her unborn child. U misbehaved with her! Its bcoz of ur fault that my sister had to listen to so many jabs & insults hurled at her.Whereas u walked scott free,with ur head held high,since u're the Arnav Singh Raizada! She pauses to take a deep breath.

Paayal exited the room & Aakash followed her.
When Arnav looked at Khushi he found tears streaming down her cheeks.
Arnav immediately went to hug her.
Khushi(hugs him): Y did u agree to all that jiji said,Arnavji? Do u hav even the slighest idea of what might happen tomorrow? What if.. buaji takes me to that house? What if naniji takes a really tough decision in a fit of rage? What if r..

He pats her head.

She clicks her tongue in disgust.
Khushi: again u took the wrong decision in a haste,Arnavji!
Arnav: I havent taken the wrong decision! Trust me Khushi.. None of ur fears will come true! If we dont end the contract matter right now,it may create more problems for us in future.. I wont let the contract ruin r future!
He cups her face.
Arnav: I forced u to marry me & then treated u very badly & thats a fact.I should b the one who should b punished for doing that. I'll make sure that dont get punished for that! And I'll also make sure that r relationship doesnt suffer for that!
Khushi holds his hand & kisses it.
Arnav: Paayal is right.I fooled u,manipulated u,blackmailed u.. but I did all this not just to save di's marriage but.. also bcoz.. I didnt want to loose u! I wanted u to come home,to come back to me! I wanted u to live with me in my house.. And to achieve that,I did whatever I felt was right!
He kisses her hand.
Arnav: When u came back I felt as if I'd cracked the best deal of my life! I was so happy to see u back at home!
Khushi: And I thought that u're happy coz I lost & u won! But.. that night.. I saw somethin.. else in ur eyes..
Arnav: What?
Khushi: Fear. When I swore on babuji & said that I will jump into the pool,I felt.. as if.. for a second I saw fear in ur eyes.. fear of loosing me.
Arnav nods.
Khushi: And when I was about to fall & u saved me.. I saw something else in ur eyes..
Arnav: That was love..
Khushi(nods): But I couldnt understand it back then..(sighs) U know what I feel?
Arnav: What?
Khushi: When I fell into ur arms that night,in Sheesh Mahal.. I fell in love with u right then! But.. (sighs) It took me a lot of time to realize this..
Arnav: Atleast u managed to realize it! Ur tubelight flickered at last!
Khushi smacks his arm & hugs him.

When Khushi looks into Arnav's eyes she finds assurance & love.
Whereas Arnav finds faith & love in Khushi's eyes.
They share a brief eyelock till they're interrupted by nani's call for lunch.
