Chapter 23
Later in the evening, Swayam and Rey were busy discussing about the party and Sharon and Kria were in the kitchen preparing dinner. Tanya was playing in the garden with Maria.
Every next second Sharon used to peep out of the kitchen to get a view of Swayam who was in the hall along with Rey.
She was still scared that Rey may hit him any moment.
Kria: You are scared of Rey hitting Swayam again or you are scared of losing him again.
Sharon quickly straightened herself ...
Sharon: umm... I was looking out for Tanya.
Kria: Tanya is in the garden. Whom are you trying to lie Sharon.
Sharon: I am not lying. I was not looking at Swayam.
Kria: When did I say you were looking at him?
Sharon: I need to check on Tanya...
She started to walk when Kria spoke...
Kria: You still love him Sharon. Stop pushing him away from you. He is not going to leave you alone this time.
Sharon's eyes were moist but she continued to walk...
Kria: He has undergone the same pain in the past 3 years Sharon. He loves you Sharon.
Sharon froze on her track...Her wish that he would love her the same way as she loved him which was locked in some deep corners of her heart which begin to grow again.
But before she could think more about it a loud voice followed by a crying voice broke her thoughts...
Waaah! Waaah!
All of them rushed outside and found Tanya fallen on the ground and her knee was bleeding.
Swayam and Sharon were beside her and Swayam picked her up and made her sit on his lap.
Swayam rubbed his hand on her back to soothe her...
Waaah! Waaah!
Swayam: Tanya, stop crying princess... Yum is here na...
Sharon: God! Her knee is bleeding...
Rey: I will call the doctor you two take her inside...
Swayam carried her to their room and placed her on the bed...
Swayam: Tanya... Is it paining??
Tanya just nodded in positive...Sharon came in with the first aid box and took some Dettol on a cotton ball and was about to apply on her injured knee...when she moved back and hid in Swayam's arms.
No Mama! It will burn!
Sharon: Tanya...It won't burn...
Tanya still didn't allow Sharon to apply it and started crying hugging Swayam tight.
Yum... Tanya doesn't want it. Please tell Mama.
Swayam: Princess...You want to get well soon and play right?
Tanya nodded in positive...
So you need to apply it...Tanya cried more and Swayam held her close to him and she hid her face in his chest and cried. Swayam signalled Sharon to apply it...
As soon as Sharon placed the cotton on her wound...She felt the burning sensation and started shouting...
Swayam: Shhh... Princess...Yum is here na...Stop crying...
He rubbed her back to soothe her down, but she cried more as the pain increased...he placed his head on hers and tried soothing her...He saw her hiccupping due to continuous crying...A lone tear made way through his eyes.
Sharon who was cleaning her wound looked up to find a tensed Swayam...
Sharon kept her hand on his knee, he looked at her...
Sharon: She will be fine..
Swayam just hugged Tanya tight in response...Sharon continued to first aid her wound and Tanya just cried and cried...Swayam tried to pacify her but nothing calmed her down...
Sharon: Done.
Swayam: Done...See princess it's done.
She slowly peeped and saw Sharon's hands. Sharon held her hands up in the air and showed her that it was done.
Tanya stopped crying and smiled at her but refused to leave Swayam and sat their hugging her YUM.
Sharon: Swayam, I think she needs to take a tetanus injection.
Swayam: INJECTION...
Sharon: Swayam I am not deaf... stop shouting.
Swayam: Sharon, How will she take an injection?...I mean an injection...
Sharon: Swayam, It's just an injection.
Rey entered along with the doctor and he told them that she just has scratches and there is no need to worry.
The doctor too advised them to give her an injection...As he said injection Swayam almost pounced on the doctor scaring him...
Swayam: Injection... How dare you? You know how much will it pain?
Sharon: Swayam, behave.
Swayam: Did you hear him... My princess will have to take an injection.
He sat beside Tanya and hugged her...
Swayam: princess...you don't get scared... YUM is here with you
Sharon: You are more scared then her Swayam...
Exactly! The doctor said and Swayam glared at him because of which he gulped.
Sharon: You ignore him doctor...
Till he gave her injection...Tanya was pretty relaxed and was okay with the injection but instead of her Swayam was sweating and scared.
Tanya looked at him and said...
Tanya: YUM...it's done.
Sharon: It's like you were getting an injection and not her...
Swayam: If that was possible, I would have taken the injection and the medicine could affect her.
I would never let any pain come her way...everything has to pass from me before it could reach her.
Swayam kissed Tanya on her forehead and Tanya jumped on him and hugged him.
Tanya loves YUM!
Swayam: YUM loves you too princess...
Rey, Kria and everyone did all kind of circus in front of Tanya to distract her and to make her smile...Tanya was having a great time with them when Sharon entered with her food...
Sharon: Princess...it's dinner time...
Tanya don't want dinner Mama...Tanya is not hungry.
Sharon: No princess, you need to have your dinner to take your medicines...
Tanya hate them...It tastes yuck mama!
Sharon: Tanya, No more argument...open your mouth...
Tanya closed her lips tight and turned her sideways...Just then Swayam walked in and saw Tanya pouting...
Sharon: Tanya...turn here now...
Tanya looked at Swayam with puppy dog eyes still pouting...
Swayam: Princess, You just pout like you mother...
He said picking her up in his arms..
Kria: With just one difference, you can't roam around in the house with her Mama in your arms...
Sharon glared at her and Swayam and Tanya giggled.
Later, Swayam indulged her in games and fed her dinner and made her drink her medicines and then carried her in his arms and walked thro and fro to make her sleep.
He didn't even have his dinner and just lay besides her starring at her sleeping form. He didn't move an inch away from her.
He was lost in his thoughts when he felt someone's hand on his shoulder.
Sharon: Relax, She has slept.
Swayam just kissed Tanya on her forehead and went and stood near the window.
Sharon: Swayam, She is fine.
He just turned and hugged her tight. She felt his tears on her shoulders. She got worried and made him face her and cupped his face.
Sharon: Swayam, what happened??
Swayam: I am the worst Father ever Sharon. I should have been with her to take care of her. I am worst...
Sharon: Shh...Listen to me Swayam...
You are the best father...Tanya is lucky to have the best father in the world.
Swayam: No Sharon...She is hurt..I should have been there with her in the garden... I shouldn't have let her go alone with Maria... I should have been there beside her...
Sharon: Swayu, relax... Our daughter is fine.
Swayam lips craved into a perfect smile when he heard say, Tanya is their daughter.
Sharon realized what she said and started moving back...but Swayam held her and pulled her closer...
Swayam: Sharon...
Sharon: Leave me...
Swayam: Listen to me Shar...Please.
Sharon: what???
Swayam: Tanya is our daughter Sharon... I never fulfilled my lust with you... my every action was the outcome of my feeling for you and not my lust. Tanya is not our mistake...
She is the most beautiful gift of god for us...
Thank you for giving birth to my baby Sharon... Our baby is my priced possession Sharon.
Sharon: Say it again Swayam...
Swayam: Tanya is the evidence of the relationship we shared and not any mistake...
She is the most beautiful gift I could get...
Flood of tears flowed through her eyes...tears of happiness. The thing which she wanted to hear from past three years was finally said...
She broke down in tears; Swayam cupped her face and indicated her not to cry...
Sharon buried herself in his arms and he placed his hands around her firmly... he cupped her face and slowly kissed her on her eyes absorbing the tears from her eyes...
He then slowly placed kisses all over her face and slowly leaned in to place his lips on her... she moved her head sideways and placed her head in the crook of his neck hugging him.
Swayam just smiled at hugged her...today he had some relief and kind of satisfaction that finally he was getting his Sharon back. It is going to be just matter of some days then he will tell her how much he loves her.
They both were lost in each other's arms when someone's laughter got them out of the trance.
Swayam opened his eyes and turned towards the bed and found Tanya wide awake and laughing looking at them.
Sharon too noticed her and they both quickly moved back creating a distance.
Sharon: Princess, You are supposed to be sleeping.
Swayam: yes Tanya, come on let's sleep now.
Swayam made her lie on the bed and he too lay beside her...Sharon too came and lay on the bed beside Swayam.
Tanya curled up on Swayam and lay flat on him...Swayam opened his arms for Sharon. She hesitated for a minute and was in deep thinking when Swayam held her hand and pulled her on him. Sharon just smiled and rested her head on his chest and hugged him tight.
Swayam just smiled, he couldn't ask for more. He had his love and his daughter with him.
All he wished for is to have a right to call them a FAMILY.
