Kriti, this was such a good update. I was almost crying at the end though. I really hope "Virat only picked one" does not mean that Manvi is dead, the suspense is too much not knowing if she is alive or not. . Please update soon and please unite Virat, Manvi and Ahana soon.

hey nice update ,i think manvi is alive because the last line shows that dr had take baby for check up and manvi was left with virat . that's what I have understand.

Chapter 30: The one he'd lost

Every part of his body tensed as he entered the room where she lay. Looking at her lifeless body suffocated the life out of him. He hated every breath that was breathed out of him at that exact moment. Why should he live after murdering the most beautiful creature on Earth?

He ran his fingers across her cheek, her dead skin. 'I'm sorry,' he whispered with a tear falling down landing on his most loved possession. 'I'm really sorry. I loved you and I always will, but I just couldn't lose her. She was way too dear to me. '

Virat closed his eyes, he heard an imaginary voice whisper in his ear, 'to me too.' It hurt him to know that someone he loved ever so much was with him in all his decisions, even in the decision of her death.

'I will live every moment of my existence drowning in an ocean of guilt which will continuously remind me of who I have sacrificed to save her life. Please, please forgive me. You won't understand how sorry I am, you don't know what I have been through, no one ever will. This day has gifted me with the most beautiful thing I have ever wanted, yet in turn it has taken away a possession which I was the least willing to give up on.' An unfamiliar silence filled the room. It was a mixture of dread, fear and misery yet somewhere hidden inside its deep layers of skin was hope… hope for a new beginning. 'I love you jaan,' he whispered with this realization, 'I love you. Thank you for saving her. You're the reason she's with me. Thank you.'

Virat turned around as he heard the creek of the door. 'Virat,' Jeevika whispered, 'The tests have finished. If you want you can go and see her again,' she whispered, a heavy tear bleeding out straight from her heart.

'I'm coming bhabhi,' he replied, turning back with pain in his heart to look at the innocent being he had killed. 'I'm coming,' he repeated, swallowing hard.

Author's note - Okay, okay please don't hate me. I promise it'll all make sense in the next update. I know this update was absolutely minuscule, the reason being that I'm keeping busy and don't have much time, but I've updated because you all want to read ahead.
