I hate him

As soon as Anant said that, two people entered the corridor from the side and started laughing. They laughed like hell. Even Anant started laughing a bit.

"Aarti, it was a dare given to Anant by us" giggled one of Anant's friends saying this.

Aarti's eyes filled with tears. Her heart had almost skipped a beat when Anant had told her "I love you"

Drops of tears fell down Aarti's cheeks. She tried to stop crying as according to her crying was a sign of weakness. There was pin drop silence in the room after a few minutes. Nothing could be heard other than tears falling on the floor one by one.

Realising that he had hurt Aarti, Anant said,

" Aarti I'm really very very sorry! I never meant to hurt you. I..."

But before he could complete Aarti cut off his sentence saying " I HATE you" and she went away sobbing with Foram walking beside her.

Foram and Aari went straight to Aarti's house. Foram asked Aarti for an explanation as to why she was crying as it was only a dare which Anant did, it wasn't real. Foram actually didn't know about the feelings Aarti had for Anant.

Aarti narrated to Foram how she had fallen for Anant. She told her about their meetings and her growing love for him, All the love she had for him went off when he said it was a dare as Anant had played with her feelings. "Anant has hurt me a lot. He really shouldn't have done this" thought Aarti,

On knowing about Aarti's love for Anant, Foram was shocked. She consoled Aarti and asked her to forget him as she meant nothing to him.

Days passed and then weeks. Aarti had forgotten about Anant as he hadn't come to college from many days and so she didn't see him. One fine day he turned up at college. Aarti tried ignoring him but she couldn't. During the lunch break Anant had come to Aarti with a pack of chocolates and a small card saying "Sorry". Aarti hadn't accepted it so Anant kept it on her desk and walked off.

Now, Aarti had no choice but to accept that gift. She just couldn't leave that card and chocolates there and go off. Her heart almost melted on seeing those chocolates and that card. She wanted to forgive Anant.
