A little more of the pasts unfolds. We know a little more of Khushi's background and how she ended up with Garima and Shashi. We know a little more of Arnav's background and how she ended up with the Raizadas.

For some reason I always thought Shashi met Garima and Khushi together. My bad!

But Garima's soliloquy and Shahsi's conversation with Khushi shows the importance Khushi has as the daughter of the family.

Manorama's and Mahinder's exchange shows how important Arnav and Anjali are to them.

I loved Mami's characterization. Wiping an emotional tear yet not smudging the mascara... Perfect! She knows how to balance...

Mama is worried for ArHi's marriage and so is Payal. Mama has seen how Arnav tends to bottles up his feelings. Payal saw how Khushi for the first time bottled up her feelings when she agreed to marry Arnav.

But Arnav's words to Payal- a promise extracted for her- but a fact stated by him. This marriage and Khushi both are important and he will see to it that she is happy.

Arnav please start with answering her questions, why the lehenga is as good a question as any to answer first.

I love you managed to bring out the warmth of the love that is shared in a family.. sisters, daughters, mothers... the silly jokes and the shared laughter and the leg pulling. Its the whole smiling-crying things and you wrote that beautifully!

Payal is slowly becoming my favorite character here. A fine businesswoman, a loving wife, a responsible daughter-in-law, a sister to her devarji, and of course.. the best sister one could hope for. The way she put across her concerns in front of Arnav was just so heartwarming. I admire the bond these two share.

Arnav has promised to be a good husband and keep Khushi happy, but thats easier said than done. He is taking efforts, yes, but they have a long way to go! Dilwale are going to take away the dulhaniya soon, and I hope the couple finds joy and happiness and love in this marriage :)

Finally the wedding is round the corner and with that it brings along a truck load of emotions within the Guptas! At this point my heart goes out to Khushi simply because she is in such a state of unrest ..this should have been the most happiest occasion of her life but having to deal with Arnav Singh Raizada as a fiance and not really knowing what to expect itself feels like a terrifying thought!

All the scenes written for Khushi, Shashi and Garima...felt very real !

Arnav has confidently promised Payal that he would keep Khushi happy ...i hope to see him at least begin this new phase with these intentions.How they move together is going to make for a very interesting read!

Khushi's conflicted thoughts have been very well-delineated! The father-daughter convo and reminiscences followed by Garima joining them and all three spending more time together was very moving as was Garima's recollections of the tragedy that struck her life, her determined search for Khushi and the latter's trauma… loved the scene when Khushi as a kid calls Shashi 'Bauji' and he accepts her as such… beautiful scenes in their simplicity! A lot seems to be riding on this marriage and hopefully everyone's wishes will come true… Looks like Khushi has got her wish: her groom, Arnav, is a cross between Heathcliff and Mr. Darcy! Payal's concern for her sister's happiness and the promise she takes from Arnav to ensure it is touching… love how smoothly you move your story between the past and the present! The danger lurking in the backdrop just adds to the story!

OMG!! That was an update after eons! :)

And what an update that was! It surely made up for the void that was created in its absence!

I wish i could come up with an apt word that could describe my elated mood right now after the read!

The update in all ways had so much to convey! and the way it was all put forth was like a conjuring trick in setting up the right mood for it!

From Khushi's tumult with regards to her marriage and Arnav to the beautiful bonding between a father and an adopted child... this was the most endearing moment for me!

Khushi's POV as a child at the orphage had my throat forming a lump that was getting difficult to swallow!

Next wrt Garima's anguish in having to revisit those painful memories and her monologues with her long gone family! shucks that was heart wrenching!

Shashi... being the one to hold the 2 together and bring life back into them and provide them the utmost happiness one can dream about is only so wonderful to feel!

I shudder to think what could be the past so dangerous that things could haywire in all their lives!

I never thought a conversation between Manohar and Manorama could be so alluring! But you made it happen!

Payal - Khushi ... Ohh!! the thing abt being sisters is the best that i can relate to ... having one myself i can just hold onto those wonderful memories of growing together forever and ever! Their bit in the update just evoked the same feelings back in me!

Arnav ...i know you are a man of words! and i truly hope you will live it up!

Thanks so much for the update sweetie! i do hope your exams went well! and now that you can dedicate some time of urs to feed us voracious readers! *grin*

That was one impactful, comeback update!!!
The bond khusi's family share is just outstanding!!! Loved the conversation between khusi and shahi!!
Garima.. She is one hell of a woman!! I like her so much!!
Then there is Payal... Women in this story makes me so proud!!! Loved the way she asked Arnav to keep khusi happy... Wish I had a sister like her! Wellnever mind, one brother is fine!! "Wink"

Great update!!
Cant wait for more... The suspense of who "them" are is still hanging in the air...
Lets wait for that!!

Reading again from the beginning ... 😆

Some more of the past has been revealed in this update ...

Marriages make everyone emotional ...

Family bonds are too strong and cannot be taken lightly ...

First Shashi had his moments with Khushi then Garima ...

and now Payal asking Arnav to keep Khushi happy ... ⭐️

Weddings and the truckload of emotions they carry not forgetting the buckets of tears shed. I remember how much I cried during my sister's wedding and after that. Sigh!

I like your vivid descriptions. Its like watching a half an hour episode of a TV serial on the screen.

The mystery continues to hold and so does the mask of happiness on Khushi. Garima and Shashi are definitely going to feel alone after the wedding.

Garima has just one wish of the secret being a secret but looking at the previous chapters it seems that someone is hell bent on digging out the mystery.

Payal's request cum wish has been readily accepted by Arnav. I know Arnav will keep his word. But is his definition of happy the same as that of Khushi???
